Kingsley Innocent then hide at Samuel Effiong’s house in Udo town in Ovia South-West local government area of Edo state, Standard Gazette learned.

Kidnapping alarm was actually raised to the management of the company where Mr innocent worked.

One of the suspects then called the Management of the company to demand Five Million Naira ransom to effect his release.

The company which is not mentioned for security reasons contacted the police immediately and an investigation was launched, leading to the arrest of the culprits.

Through high technical intelligence, the location of the suspects was detected.

They were subsequently arrested by the police.

CrimeNotorious Kidnapper Nabbed While Abducting A Local Businessman In Auchi by crazynation(op): 1:54pm On Jan 10, 2021
A notorious kidnapper who has been on the police wanted list for the past months has been arrested by men of the Edo state police command, Standard Gazette has learned.

The suspect identified as Dauda Yusuf and his gang members has been terrorising Auchi, Igarra, Okpilla, Fugar, Agenebode and environs, all in Edo North Senatorial district of Edo State, Nigeria.

Standard Gazette gathered that Dauda Yusuf allegedly kidnapped an Expatriate who heads a contracting firm rehabilitating the ever-busy Auchi-Okpilla- Okenne Express roads.

The suspect and his cohorts now at large stormed the construction site in Auchi, Edo state and abducted the foreigner and kept him in the forest where he spent six days in captivity.

Ransom negotiation was then opened with the company.

The sum of Eight million naira was, however, paid as ransom before the foreign worker was released.

The suspect, again, allegedly mobilised his gang and kidnapped a businessman in his Quarry company in Auchi Edo state.

Standard Gazette gathered that Dauda was arrested at the scene of another kidnapping in Auchi with his cousin, Richard Daniel.

The police and the vigilante members in the locality got credible information that some group of criminals were coming for the kidnapping of the businessman in the area.

They, however, laid ambush and arrested them upon their arrival at the kidnapping site.

In an interview, the suspect told Standard Gazette that his kidnapping business begun four years ago.

Upon a further enquiry, it was discovered that this reporter, Festus Alenkhe had two years ago interviewed the prime suspect, Dauda Yusuf when he was earlier arrested for alleged secret cult-related offences.

He was then charged to court and remanded in the correctional centre (PRISON) in Benin city.

The report revealed that he came out of the centre a few months ago, and this time embarked in alleged kidnapping spree.

Items recovered from them include three locally made guns and live cartridges.

The police assured that the suspects will be thoroughly investigated and charge to court soon.

CrimeGunmen Rob Man, Snatch His Toyota Camry In Benin by crazynation(op): 10:43am On Dec 19, 2020
A middle-aged man has been attacked by four suspected armed robbers in Benin city, Edo state.

The daredevil armed robbers also snatched his Toyota Camry car, 2005 model with registration number EDO BEN 996 PG, grey colour.

Health50 Children Exposed To Danger After Santa Claus Tests Positive For COVID-19 by crazynation(op): 10:31am On Dec 19, 2020
Santa Claus and Mrs Claus may be responsible for at least, the infection of 50 children with Coronavirus in George, United States.

A couple whose names were not revealed appeared at an annual Christmas parade and tree-lighting ceremony in Ludowici, George on December 10, dressed as Santa Claus and Mrs Claus.

Two days after the event, the couple tested positive for Coronavirus.

A report posted on social media by the Long County Board of Commissioners showed that at least 50 children attended the event, and many sat on the Santa.

In some cases, Santa was seen posing with the children without his mask on

The Chairman of the Long County Board of Commissioners, Robert Parker said the couple did not have symptoms of Coronavirus at the time of the event, which was organized by the Long County Chamber of Commerce.

Parker urged the people not to panic, added that “I want to further emphasize that no children were forced to attend the events and that choice was left solely in the hands their parents.

“I have personally known both ‘Santa’ and ‘Mrs Claus’ my entire life and I can assure everyone that they would have never knowingly done anything to place any children in danger.”

“My children both had their picture made with Santa, and their smiles were bigger than any day when they head off to school, where the same risk of exposure exists,” Mr Parker added.

The Commissioners have advised parents who were at the event to quarantine their children for 14 days and following the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

He added in the statement that, “I believe I speak for the majority of them in saying that we still stand by the decision of the chamber to move forward with these holiday traditions and to bring some sense of normalcy to these trying times.”

Meanwhile, since the revelation, the couple claimed they have been bamboozled with hate mails from unknown persons.

“I have had hate mail nationwide,” he said. “They’re all from out of state. The local outrage has been minimal.”

Georgia has 479,340 confirmed cases with a daily average of 4,086 in the last 14 days.

This incident happened on the day Georgia recorded a significant increase in new cases of the virus.

PoliticsObaseki Is A ‘foreigner’ Says Henry Idahagbon by crazynation(op): 7:41pm On Sep 09, 2020
A former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Edo State says the state governor, Godwin Obaseki is a ‘foreigner’.

Barrister Henry Idahagbon who spoke with Standard Gazette on Sunday evening said Obaseki was ‘never a part of the Edo political establishment’ until the former National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole made him a governor.

Barr. Idahagbon comment was in reaction to the backlash that followed his statement while hosting Dr Odubu LG and ward coordinators in his campaign office in Benin earlier in the year.

On the video which surfaced on the popular social media, Facebook, Idahagbon is heard saying both in English and pigin that “If we get somebody like Obaseki for another 4years, our career as politicians go just kpafuka, e mean say all of us go go find another work do

In translation, ‘If Obaseki secure a second term, our career as politicians will nosedive, meaning, we all we be in search of another job’

“When Oshiomhole was the Governor he always invited us to government house for lunch, how many times has Governor Obaseki invited us since he became Governor?” he added.

In his defence, while speaking with Standard Gazette, the former Attorney General of the state said Obaseki attended many of such launches and dinner when Oshiomhole was the governor.

He stressed that such an event “provides an informal opportunity for leaders to present issues about governance, politics, party and leaders to the governor.”

Mockingly, Idahagbon said Obaseki ate launch and dinner with Oshiomhole ‘in the company of other political leaders throughout comrades tenure as governor.’

“I remember that he used to sweat a lot while eating lunch. And he will be using serviette paper to wipe his brow,” he mocks.

Barr. Idahagbon, a member of the Edo Peoples Movement (EPM), a group that rebelled against Obaseki’s style of governance retreated a few months ago after his home was reportedly attacked by unknown assailants.

In May, Idahagbon told Standard Gazette that he was not ready to speak for the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress, the two political giants and rivals in Nigeria.

His statement was after his home was bombed on January 30th. He said “I’m preparing to go back to my full-scale practice. Politics in Nigeria is a shirt cut to the grave. It is by God’s grace I’m alive after the Jan 30th assassination attempt on my life. Well, I’m not ready to speak for any side no more.”

Idahagbon’s statement indicates he has come back into the political arena as the governorship election is in a few days.

Condemning Obaseki’s administration, he argued that Obaseki’s “selling point was ‘a technocrat’ and his promise to ‘keep the state running smoothly’.

Sarcastically, Idahagbon said, “You can’t be a technocrat with 3 WAEC credits minutes English and math especially when u were a boarding student in a missionary school.”

Idahagbon was particular about Obaseki’s threat to retire all of them from politics. He said “you don’t retire from politics, nobody retires anybody from politics. It doesn’t mean we are jobless.”

In his defence, he added “There is none of us that cannot feed ourselves. Unknown to many people, I don’t eat conventional food cos I’m vegan. So i don’t even eat or participate in those lunches I referred to.”

“You know I’m a lawyer of over 3 decades. I have one of the biggest law firms in Benin with a complement of 6 lawyers and a huge library. We joined politics to contribute our quota to the development of our society. Check everywhere I have the privilege to serve. I leave positive contributions.

“I’m sure you Pa Joseph Omorotionmwan?. He is a veteran journalist. After Obaseki’s first year in office, he wrote that all the projects he did were comparable to what Idahagbon did in his first 100 days as chairman of Egor local govt council!”

On Obaseki’s Performance:
Idahagbon’s opinion of Obaseki’s performance is that of a ‘monumental failure’, he tells Standard Gazette that the governor has only constructed three major roads in metropolitical in four years.

He listed the roads as ‘lucky way, Irrirhi road and TV road with the 4th road, Ekewan road still abandoned’.

“He promised 200,000 Jobs. He didn’t employ 200. Promised seaport port at Gelegele, one health centre per ward, one sports stadia per ward. He failed to deliver. No new school constructed. Benin technical college is yet to be completed after 4 years.

“He renovated the stadium at a prohibitive cost of N6bn and spent another N6bn to prepare for the aborted national sports festival. He has plunged the state into unsustainable debts.

“He closed down the following institution’s College of agriculture Igioriakhi, State school of nursing, ICE, The sports school in Afuze, College of education Igueben, Tayo Akpata university of education.”

As far as Idahagbon is concerned, another four years of Obaseki is to run the state to oblivion. “All these in one term. If he gets a second term the state will be obliterated,” he condemned.

Who Will Win Edo Governorship Election:
Idahagbon said he is confident that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, his preferred candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu will ‘win 80/20 margin.

When asked how he knew of the margin, Idahagbon said “From my tour of the 18 LGAs. Don’t forget we are.grassroots politicians who have participated in several elections”

Idahagbon also reacted to the statement credited to Obaseki where he said he will bury his predecessor if he wins the September 19 governorship election.

Obaseki was quoted as saying that “This election is a contest with Oshiomhole. We have dealt with him at the national level, we will bury him politically in this election”

Reacting, Idahagbon said, “Can u say this about any person that gives u a life-changing opportunity in life especially when you were a nobody with no known asset anywhere in Nigeria and left school with 3 credits?”

As the election draws nearer, both sides of the divided have undergone a rigorous campaign in the Edo State, Midwestern part of Nigeria.

Obaseki and Oshiomhole used to be allies until the governor accused him of undermining his authority and pushing him to share the money meant for the development of Nigeria to his cronies.

The governor has not hidden his disdain for his former boss who he now tagged as ‘godfather who has no respect for Edo people.’

He repeated his position on Saturday during his campaign in Oredo local government area of the state.

“As a sitting Governor, Oshiomhole decides to pick who will represent me in my House of Assembly.

“Can you imagine the insult? That was where this fight started,” Obaseki said.

“Because he believes, in his own mind, that Benin people are like chickens – when you throw corn, they will run after the corn.

“This election is a contest with Oshiomhole. We have dealt with him at the national level, we will bury him politically in this election; because he has no regard for Benin people, he has no regard for us in Oredo, and we will show him that he is nothing,” he added.

The irony of the coming election is the two candidates who had run against each other in the opposite party in 2016. Oshiomhole sided with Obaseki against all odds while Ize-Iyamu, who had contributed to Oshiomhole emergence as the governor had to fend for himself after his kingmaker left him stranded on the platform of the PDP.

The coming election will either make or break both camps. If Ize-Iyamu wins, Obaseki is likely to face a series of investigations and perhaps, countless court cases of corruption engineered by Oshiomhole through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

On the other hand, as Obaseki has vowed, his second term will end the reign of Oshimhole who hates to lose a battle. The sacked former National Chairman’s integrity is at stake and all tools are on the table to prevent that from happening.

In a few days, someone’s future will be skewed.

PoliticsThe Unforgiving Chairman And The Vocabulary Deficient Governor by crazynation(op): 5:27pm On Jun 11, 2020
By Ehi Ekhator - NAIJA CENTER NEWS

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki continues to dance in the market place as friends and foes await his triumph or fall.

Obaseki rose prominently in 2016 on the rear of his former boss, presently, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole.

Not long after the political race, the team dropped out of love, prompting a split in the state party.

The individuals who pitched tent with Oshiomhole blamed Obaseki for disregard while Obaseki asserted he was targeted for his refusal to share money to the Draculas that had sucked the state throughout the years.

The two camps have shown muscles in the battle for control, in any case, Obeseki’s fall is the position of his most despised adversary, Oshiomhole who is backed by the party constitution to make or break a king.

On May 22, Oshiomhole led National Working Committee announced the adoption of direct primary for its governorship election, a decision that didn’t go well with the governor who immediately repelled with his own choice of Indirect mode.

In his defence, the governor who appeared on Channels TV on Sunday evening said he opposed the direct primary for two reasons: Political and public health problems.

According to Obaseki, “One is political and one is public health-related. In terms of primary, I am a true party man, it does not really matter to me what mode of primary, I am confident enough given what we have done in the party, but we have our party constitution and it is clear on how a primary should be conducted.

“The party constitution says that the state executive will determine the kind of primary they want and the national party just comes in to supervise what the state does”

On Health-related reason, Obaseki said, “To this end, we have put in place modalities to ensure strict compliance with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines as announced by the COVID-19 Presidential Task Force and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.”

However, the National office has insisted that it has the absolute right to decide the mode of the primary. One of the troubles Obaseki has is the position Oshiomhole occupies. The National Chairman is like a mosquito on Obaseki’s testicles.

In an attempt to checkmate the National party, or perhaps, as the government alleged that it was for public health reasons, the state APC released a gazette banning political gatherings in the state.

On Thursday, the governor signed a new gazette banning political or social gatherings involving more than 20 persons in the state without his direct approval.

The governor also approved Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City as the only facility for any political party desirous of gathering for the primary election.

The governor had claimed that his love for the people led to the decision in a period where the world is battling COVID-19 pandemic.

Obaseki Contradicts Himself, Says Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organization
The Campaign organisation of Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu said Obaseki contracdicted himself when he granted an approval for the Peoples Democratic Party to hold ward Congress.

The Director of Communication John Mayaki said the governor’s decision contradicts his claimed that such a gathering may undermine the effort to curtail the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayaki said, “Governor Godwin Obaseki’s campaign of mix messaging, confusion, and hypocrisy over the conduct of elections in Edo State and how it may impact public health became clearer to the people yesterday, Monday, June 8, when news of his approval to the opposition PDP to conduct its congresses across wards in the state emerged”.

“Although the PDP had chosen the indirect primary route, the constitution of the party, similar to that of the APC, compels it to first conduct ward congresses characterized by the participation and assembling of its registered members across the state to vote in a direct primary and elect representative delegates to take part in the indirect primary at a later date”.

Meanwhile, members of the Oshiomhole camp are insisting that the National body has the power to conduct the primary irrespective of the health danger it may pose.

The National Chairman “whose pride compensates for his height” wrote to the Independent National Electoral Commission insisting that the party had chosen the direct primary for the selection of its candidate.

The letter captioned “Notice of intention to conduct direct primary for the Edo State Governorship Election,” read in part, “I convey to you my compliments and wish to respectfully inform you that the All Progressives Congress has decided to conduct direct primary for the Edo State Governorship Election on Monday, 22nd of June, 2020.

“Therefore, direct primaries will be conducted in one hundred and ninety-two (192) wards.”

The problem with the letter is that Oshiomhole wrote INEC three days before the NWC publicly announced its mode of primary, an indication that Oshiomhole had made up his mind, plus, the decision wasn’t really in the hands of NWC.

A former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ehigie Edobor Uzamere told NAIJA CENTER that the adoption was doubtful as Oshiomhole held the NWC meeting around 7 pm on May 22.

For him, it was unreasonable and selfish for the National Working Committee to call for a direct primary when, the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole enjoyed indirect primaries during his two terms election.

INEC Backs Oshiomhole Direct Primary
On Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission said it will only honour the mode of primary submitted to it by the national chairman of the party.

“In our rules and regulations, the letter to this effect is signed by the National Chairman and National Secretary of political parties indicating the date, time and venue for the conduct of party primaries and the mode of the primaries.

“The mode of primaries to be adopted by political parties is a function of their constitution, the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended) and the regulations and guidelines issued by INEC.

“So, we don’t have business with state branches of political parties because our rules, regulations and laws say we should relate with the national chairman and the national secretary in terms of fixing party primaries, whether direct or indirect.

“The commission will not dictate to political parties the mode of primaries to adopt as it is a purely legal and party affair. What is certain is that the commission will monitor the primaries and provide protective equipment for its staff that will be involved in the process.”

However, INEC Chairman Prof Mahmood Yakubu on Friday expressed fears about the looming acrimony in the primaries in Edo State.

Yakubu had said, “The primaries for the nomination of candidates for the Edo governorship election have commenced. As you are aware, the conduct of primaries by political parties tends to be very acrimonious. The acrimony is carried forward into the electioneering campaigns and Election Day activities. Already, there are warning signals.”

I have no Fight With Oshiomhole – Obaseki
The “not so eloquent Governor” said on Sunday that his rift with Oshiomhole was his impositions on the state.

He said “I don’t have a rift with him as a person, I just do not agree with some of his decisions he is taking as it relates to the party, It is not in the interest of the party.

“The quarrel is, the party is not allowed to make its decisions from the base, decisions are imposed from the top and that is not ogling well and it is creating disharmony the system.”

Obaseki also believed that those who want him gone do not have a concrete reason to call for his dismissal other than political reasons.

The Governor is contesting the primary alongside Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Pius Odubu, Chris Ogiemwonyi, Osaro Obazee and Mathew Iduoriyekemwen.

Edo APC May End Up Like Zamfara State: Implication
Yesterday in Benin City, a Federal High Court adjourned hearing in a suit seeking to restrain Oshiomhole led National Working Committee (NWC) and INEC from conducting governorship primaries using direct primary election mode.

Adjourning hearing to Thursday, June 11, the presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Garba Umar, said all parties in the suit are not permitted to do anything contrary to the procedure and hearing of the suit. He also directed parties to file all papers and exchange the same documents within two days.

It could be recalled that Oshiomhole narrowly escaped ousting a few weeks back after members of his committee accused him of high headedness.

The party members who were carrying placards with many anti-Oshiomhole inscriptions said the protest was to register their anger “over the way the national chairman of the party handled its affairs.”

Meanwhile, some members of the party believed that INEC support for Oshiomhole’s direct primary is not a pass for legal backing. According to them, APC will win Edo State but might lose the legal battle.

Oshiomhole might succeed in unseating Obaseki, however, the same achievement might be his doom if Edo APC does not participate in the next election or loses to the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party.

The governor who seems to have vocabulary deficiency might also narrowly scale the unforgiven Oshiomhole whose fear of losing his respect is bigger than the alleged abandonment of his project, but, the battle my sink the duo if commonsense is not applied.

We have a good amount of finance saved up for the race but we will also deploy the western way of politics where people can come together for the purpose of fundraising and endorsements to achieve the common goal of good governance. I will be running under the platform of African Action Congress (AAC) which is the only party in Nigeria not currently infected by Coronavirus.

The party chaired by Omoyele Sowore? he was sacked by the party last time, is the internal crisis resolved?

The party has no crisis just the individual

I have many great intentions. Our major priority will be power. We are already talking with investors in Brazil, Indian and South Korea. We will then focus on human capital development, education will be made free in all school, there will be soft loans for small business start-up, security

You have mentioned a few priorities, are there other things we are expecting from your government?

1. Electricity,

2. Cultism

3. Decline in sport and entertainment

4. Infrastructure

5. Failing education standard

6. Security.

7. Tourism

I will bring the people close to the government.

How do you intend to achieve this? what do you also mean by a decline in sport and entertainment?

We will seek Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in moving the state forward, over the years individuals are not carried along in Governance. We are going to change the narrative.

There is a major decline in sport, young people are not given a fair chance to reach their full potential. We currently run a sports program Gosport that has been effective for 5 years and we can do more.

Why should Edo people believe you? What makes you different from others who had promised similar opportunities in the past?

EDO people already believe in me, over the last 9 years I have shown consistency in providing resources to our people and uplifting so many families from poverty with our humanitarian works. The difference between me and them is that they have no history of service to humanity before gaining office. I do.

How would you describe the administration of Godwin Obaseki?

Failed Government that could not achieve even 25% of their campaign promises. 200K jobs but created only 5000 in 4 years, Gelegele seaport dead on arrival, youth empowerment zero, transport zero, Central Park in Benin could not finish in 4 years.

Let’s talk about women. How do you intend to include women in your government?

From our research, we found out that women are the bedrock of Edo State, not men or youths. They work day and night to take care of their homes. Most women are the ones carrying the responsibility of most of their unemployed husbands. They are seen in market places and on the streets hawking to make ends meet. We will create a Government that will give women a vital chance to be a part of nation-building because they naturally care.

How do you intend to do this?

There are various ways we can reach out to women. The educated ones will be given a platform to harness their dream by giving them a low-interest loan to set up small businesses that will directly employ vulnerable young people. The uneducated one will be sent to skill acquisition or business training in our Edo State skills acquisition centre that will be a 3 to 4 months program, we shall then empower them to stand on their own.

How do you describe the incident between you and your wife sometimes ago? You assaulted your wife for challenging you, according to the video you released on your platform. Why will Edo people elect a woman beater as their governor?

I am fully aware that my last will come up and I am not one to shy away from it. The tag “woman beater” is wrong in this sense as it was a misunderstanding between me and my wife that has long been resolved. Every relationship has its ups and downs but do I regret hitting her? Yes, I do! Has my experience made me a better man? Certainly! I am a flawed man like any other, passionate about the betterment of Edo and I believe that I have what it takes to move Edo forward especially with the support of my lovely wife.

How do you expect them to trust you if you beat your wife for challenging you? As a politician, you are going to be challenged daily, particularly from the opposition and some Edo people who might find your policy unfriendly, why will Edo people trust you as a democrat when you beat your wife for daring you?

Everyone has a past, a good or a bad one, but our present determine our future. Edo people will trust me to be their governor because I have proven beyond any doubt my commitment and passion towards their betterment. My flaws and mistakes do not define me and it simply makes me more human and not the other way around.

HealthUBTH Makes Clarification, Dispel Rumours Of COVID-19 Death by crazynation(op): 8:40pm On Apr 05, 2020
He is lying, says Anonymous Govt Official

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital, (UBTH), says, the rumour making the rounds on social media and other media network services over the claim of three confirmed cases of COVID-19 should be disregarded.

In a widely rumoured report, not more than 25 doctors were said to be on self-isolation in UBTH after 3 patients tested positive for COVID-19.

The reports added that the coronavirus crisis started when three patients who initially tested negative for COVID-19 were re-tested with the results reportedly showing positive.

The reports, however, created Palpable fear and apprehension among staffers and management of the University of Benin teaching hospital, (UBTH), and members of the society over the perceived spreads in Edo state.

In a recent update and clarification made available to Naija Center News by Dr Benson Okwara, Head Rapid Response Team, UBTH, Benin, urged all to dispel it as they were rumours he claimed, capable of creating unnecessary unrest.

According to him, “two patients were admitted into the male medical ward (Block A1), via medical on Monday, March 30, 2020. The first patient was a 35-year-old male clergyman whose initial diagnosis was CKD secondary to CGN, in uraemic encephalopathy for which he received a session of haemodialysis.”

Continuing, he noted that, subsequently, the man became feverish, whilst, coughing and also had difficulty with breathing, a situation suspicious for COVID-19 pandemic.

“The first patient was a 35-year-old male (clergyman) whose initial diagnosis; was CKD secondary to CGN in uraemic encephalopathy for which he received a session of haemodialysis. Subsequently, with the presence of fever, cough and difficulty with breathing, a suspicion of COVID-19 were made.

“The 2nd patient is a 45-year-male who presented with fever, cough and shortness of breath. An initial diagnosis of atypical pneumonia and suspected COVID-19 was made,” he quipped

Dr Okwara stated that Both patients who were reviewed for COVID-19 had managing team informed that, both patients did not meet the case definition for the suspected pandemic disease.

However, “to give both patients the opportunity of getting the needed care, he explained that, samples were taken in the morning of Tuesday, March 31, for PCR and sent to ISTH immediately.

For ultimate precaution, the patients were moved to ward C2 following sample collection, but unfortunately, the patient with renal disease succumbed to his illness on Tuesday night MARCH, 31st 2020.”

Painfully, the PCR results of both patients returned the morning of the 2nd April 2020 as negative,” he said.

Okwara pointed out that, the patient with atypical pneumonia has been moved back toward A1 and the respiratory team is continuing with patient care.

Dr Okwara who frowned at the spread of the wrong information said, “This is to dispel rumours making the rounds that UBTH has confirmed COVID-19 patients and such rumours even started before the samples were taken and sent to ISTH”.

He maintained that it was pertinent to clarify here that, adequate and proper history taking of patients particularly those with respiratory symptoms in addition to using criteria for case definition is very key so as not to unduly/wrongly label patients as COVID-19 suspects.

He advocated for Standard IPC procedures and appropriate use of PPES at all times for all patients.

In another Conflicting and more dramatic turn, a high-level government official who pleaded anonymity to NAIJA Center News, said, the true position was far from the update and Clarification given in connection to the incidence.

The Anonymous person asked, “was death not recorded there? Don’t mind him. He is lying and should not be taken seriously. As I speak with you the authority has embarked on Contact tracing. He may have done that to douse a perceived tension”.

As the time of filing this report, Nigeria has recorded ten new cases of Coronavirus, as per Nigeria Centre for Disease Control of Sunday morning.

With the new development, Nigeria has risen in cases of the Pandemic disease making a total of 224 confirmed cases, as 27 discharged and five death recorded.

Edo State has also moved up to Nine cases as Confirmed by Center for Disease Control, NCDC.

Many aggrieved members who spoke with NAIJA CENTER complained that the organizer locked them out without addressing their grievances.

BusinessCBN Issues Fresh Guidelines To Banks by crazynation(op): 1:08pm On Aug 16, 2019
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says it has issued fresh guidelines for the disbursement of lower denominations of the Naira through microfinance banks (MFBs) across the country.

The bank’s Director, Corporate Communications Department, Mr Isaac Okorafor, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Thursday.

Okorafor said this development was contained in a circular issued by the Director, Currency Operations Department of the bank, Mrs Patricia Eleje, in Abuja on Thursday.

He explained that the circular indicated that all microfinance banks must have a Composite Risk Rating (CRR) of above average in the most recent Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) target examination before they were considered for the scheme.

He explained that the measure was to ensure that only MFBs with good corporate governance practices took part, NAN reports.

“Meanwhile, the participating MFBs must be willing to accept a mixture of new and other banknotes, and that the MFBs shall give 20 per cent of any withdrawal in lower denomination notes subject to a maximum of N50,000.

“Where beneficiaries withdraw more than once in a day, the circular said that disbursement will only apply to one transaction per day.

“Similarly, the MFBs are allowed to exchange notes subject to a maximum of N50,000 for customers with bank accounts and N10,000 for customers without bank accounts.

“In that situation, the banks must not exchange for same beneficiaries more than once a week,” he added.

According to him, MFBs are to maintain a register of amounts received from the CBN through their correspondent commercial banks.

Okorafor said the MFB must also maintain another register of the beneficiaries of the lower denomination notes as well as ensure that withdrawal teller slips contain a breakdown of the denomination of the currency to customers with accounts.

“The circular also warned MFBs against hawking, hoarding or using of funds obtained under the intervention for any other purpose.

“It also instructed the banks to put in place effective control measures that will ensure that banknotes disbursed to customers with or without accounts are not sold.

“Furthermore, the circular directed the banks to render weekly and monthly disbursement return to CBN branches where the intervention would be monitored periodically, and appropriate sanctions applied to err MFBs,” he said.

Former Super Eagles Captain Kanu Nwankwo, on Thursday, met with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

The ex-international told newsmen in Ibadan after the meeting that he visited the Governor to solicit support for 200 patients awaiting surgical operations through the Kanu Heart Foundation.

“Nigerian football is not bad but can do better. I believe football is growing in terms of the league.

“There used to be times when people don’t go to the stadium to watch games.

“There is still room to improve in every angle. For me, what I did was to go back to the grassroots which is the most important,” he said.

The former Arsenal forward said he was in Ibadan to solicit support for 200 patients awaiting surgical operation through his foundation, adding that he could not do it alone.

He said his heart foundation had since establishment sponsored 561 surgical operations.

“We have 200 on the waiting list and Kanu alone cannot do it. That is why I have been moving from one governor to the other to solicit support.

“I pray they respond by coming to our aid. We are also planning to build our hospital in Nigeria because we are tired of taking them out of the country every time. It is all about sacrifice,” he added.

PoliticsMidwest Movement Rejects RUGA Settlement For Fulani Herdsmen by crazynation(op): 10:08pm On Jun 26, 2019
The Midwest movement has warned against a proposed RUGA settlement for the controversial Fulani Herdsmen by the Federal Government.

The members and management of the group signed the statement on Wednesday.

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammed Umar reiterated this untoward plan, on Tuesday 25th June 2019 in Abuja.

Reportedly, The Federal Government within the next five years plans to establish these said Ruga settlements in states across the country.

Reacting, the Midwest Movement, a pan-Edo/Delta group representing the old Midwestern Region described the move as a tactical renewed plot by the Federal Government to annex swaths of lands belonging to various ethnic nationalities in State across Nigeria, in a bid to settle Fulani herders in colonies to be known as RUGA settlements.

The MM “call on the Federal Government to immediately rescind its planned veiled colonization of our peoples, while enjoining the Governments of our home-states of Edo and Delta reject same in clear and unequivocal terms. While not opposing the desire of the Federal Government to settle nomadic herdsmen (and any other such groups whatsoever), these should be done in areas and land that are native to such groups.

“The planned aggregation in whatever guise, of the lands of the 12 ethnic nationalities of the Midwest Region of Nigeria, without recourse to consultations with the traditional and bonafide owners, is akin to an invasion.

“As peace-loving people, and firm believers in a One Nigeria where peace, justice and equity reigns, the Midwest/Bendel peoples of Delta and Edo States firmly advice the Federal Government against the perpetuation of any policy that may impact negatively on the seeming already strained unity of the Nigerian federation.”

The group called on President Muhammadu Buhari, the Governors of Edo and Delta States, the national legislators, its leaders, the international community and all persons of goodwill to help keep Nigerians and its indigenous peoples safe.

CrimeCorruption Trails Edo Anti-human Trafficking Taskforce by crazynation(op): 7:24pm On Jun 16, 2019
By Ehi Ekhator

Series of allegations have trailed the Anti-Human Trafficking Taskforce being head by Edo State Attorney General, Prof Yinka Omoregbe.

A few sources asserted that Libya returnees in the state had created income for some government authorities who supplanted names of the returnees with obscure people during the rehabilitation training organized for them in Ibadan.

NAIJA CENTER NEWS investigation uncovered that many of the returnees had not been contacted for training after their arrival in Lagos.

The Initial accusation was that Prof. Omoregbe approved the production of 3000 Id cards for N7.4 million without due process. Others argued that there was no importance attached to the IDs.

Speaking with NAIJA CENTER NEWS, In what seems to be a hostile tone, the Edo AG said N7.4m wasn’t money unless in the eyes of an ignoramus.

She debunked the report that the contract was awarded to a Lagos based company.

“7.4 million naira has never been a whopping sum, and that is the truth of the matter. The ID card is for 3000 people, and it cost 1500 per ID and what is the working sum that was involved?

“If you do your arithmetic, you will see that 1500 per ID is not much, and every single ID card was delivered.

“It is an Edo company, and it is absolutely above board. 7.4m is not money, please, unless ignoramus is involved.”

It was revealed that Bar. Abraham Oviawe, member representing civil society, in the administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee of Edo state, was subjected to a witch hunt for raising the alarm and questioning the alleged illicit financial affair by Yinka.

Oviawe reportedly probed why the government spent 7.4 million to acquire identity card for 3000 returnees victims of human trafficking at an individual cost of 1500.

Prof Yinka fired the Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA) of the task force Christopher Ogbomo after the inner workings relating to alleged financial misappropriation started leaking to the public.

Another member of the task force who received the hammer for not keeping his mouth shut was the SSA, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa.

After several queries, Prof Yinka sent one of her lawyers, Lilian Garuba to provide this network with whatever document to buttress her claims of innocence. Surprisingly, Barrister Garuba disappeared and blocked this correspondent after being asked about the replacement of Libya returnees in the last training.

The Allegation:
Edo State government in collaboration with the Niger Delta Ministry and Senator (Pharm.) Matthew A. Urhoghide (FPSN, FNAPharm.), Chairman, Senate Public Accounts Committee decided to rehabilitate Libyan returnees in a fight against human trafficking in the state.

A total of over 200 participants were trained which number was made up of 148 invited returnees from Libya who are either indigent of or reside in Edo South Senatorial District (96 of this number were trained at the Polytechnic, Ibadan) and 52 youths and women in Edo South Senatorial District (who were trained in Benin along with 52 invited Libyan returnees to make a total of 200 trainees)

The last of the training was concluded on May 17, 2019, and trainees were each given N300,000 (N28,800,000 for 96 returnees) to start farming in the field they trained in.

In the two-week-long training exercise, participants were fed twice daily; provided hotel accommodation and given N3,000 daily to meet some of their needs. Transportation fares to and from the venues were also given to the trainees at the venues.

However, NAIJA CENTER NEWS gathered that out of the 96 returnees at the Polytechnic, Ibadan; only 14 were the actual Libyan returnees who received the N300,000 each (N4, 200,000), the remaining 82 were replaced by the government officials, meaning N24,600,000 were paid to cronies of the officials.

We were not contacted but our names were on the list, says Libyan returnees
Our correspondent spoke with some of the Libyan returnees whose names appeared on the list at the Ibadan Polytechnic; they confirmed that they knew of the training but were never invited even though the government have a database of their contacts.

According to one of the returnees who identified himself as Toney, “I was not invited, but I was aware that the program was going on. My name was among the list, but they played politics and used their people to replace my name.

“I also knew that many people that attended were not Libyan returnees; they placed their people name.

When asked whether he contacted the Taskforce to query the fraud, he said “I couldn’t contact the government because we can’t just call the government to ask such questions, so I decided to forget about it. The government have my address, and everything was written when we arrived in Lagos. For now, I am unemployed.”

Another returnee who identified herself as Rose said she was not invited for the program. She also claimed her contacts were with the government. She however said she has been working with the Taskforce to sensitize the public on the danger of trafficking.

She has been taken to Abuja and different parts of Edo State and at the end of every activities, she was given N8,000 in total.

Rose also said her name was on the list of those who went for the training but she was never there because she was never invited, plus, she didn’t receive the N300,000.

In addition to using her name to siphon money, the government has failed in the promises made personally to her.

She said “I have not been given anything. I was not invited for the program, but I heard that my name was among the list that attended. When i called to find out, they told me that the program was only for people with the result, I don’t know which result.

“I am supposed to be one of the Ambassadors doing sensitization for the government. I have been to different locations, Abuja, parts of Benin, and whenever I attended, they gave me 3000, then another 5000.

“The governor promised to provide me with an accommodation, they enrolled me in a pioneer school, but I stopped now because I don’t have transport fare, and I am a mother of four, I do not have any source of income for my children and me.”

Investigation revealed that there are many Toney and Rose out there who have never been contacted but were recorded to have been a beneficiary of the training.

Senator Mathew Urhoghide Reacts
NAIJA CENTER NEWS also reached out to the Senator, Mathew Urhoghide who thought otherwise. According to the Senator, Prof. Yinka is a woman of excellence and wouldn’t partake in any fraudulent activities, if any.

The Senator said he was informed during the training that 20 of the returnees did not attend and he instructed that the list should be replaced by unemployed youths from his district.

He lamented that many of the youths in the state are not ready to engage in credible activities as their focus are mainly to collect the money and return to the same situation they were rescued from.

“They were 200 in total. Everybody got the money before they left the place. The consultant who did the training in Ibadan did the same thing with the money.”

On whether the returnees were replaced, the Senator said “I told you, that’s not true. The list that went to Niger Delta Affairs came from Edo State government. When the Libyans returned, they had to be documented, and they have been helping them one way or the other.

“I called the governor, Godwin Obaseki, and told him I have an idea to rehabilitate Libyan returnees and he was delighted. I said they will be trained for two weeks, all of them will be housed, and will be paid feeding allowances and after that, will be paid N300,000. He was very excited and said he would inform the woman in charge, Prof. Yinka Omoregbe. I must tell you; the woman is a very credible woman. She called her office, who liaised with my people. They brought the names, and those were the names they brought to the ministry, but many of them did not turn up. They were told their transportation would be settled, but many of them did not attend.

“They called my own people, the people working with me, my aides, they complained that they were short of 20 youths and we got them 20 unemployed youth from Edo South Senatorial district to join them.

“Whether you are from Libyan or not, I have thousands of unemployed youths, and I have to come up with programs to train them.

“The state government did not handle the money; they only brought the list. If anyone did any planting, it could be the consultant who trained them in Ibadan but not the state government.

“I am not saying the consultant may have done this a 100 per cent full proof, but at least, our people who went there confirmed that they got the benefit. All of them were given brochures, their names and telephone numbers are there.”

When contacted, Mr Solomon Okoduwa SSA on anti-human trafficking and a member of the task force, said “I don’t know anything except the woman or her secretary Lilian Garubs or Abieyemwense Abieyuwa”

Inconclusive.. If you have any information regarding this investigation, please contact news@naijacenter.com or talk to Naija Center News on +447448113757

Agree or disagree
PoliticsConfirmed: Buhari, Other Nigeria Leaders Suffering From Narcissist Disorder by crazynation(op): 10:02pm On May 18, 2019
By Ehi Ekhator

Yesterday, while I was walking in the street of London, the thought of Nigeria predicament and how we keep taking one step forward and five steps backward kept crawling on me. I haven’t been able to digest while a country full of intelligent and influential Nigerians cannot solve a simple problem, that is, to improve the lives of her people despite the natural endowment God has gifted us.

Since 1999, the Nigerian leadership qualities fell drastically from high to low, the culture of respect and integrity completely disappeared from us. I recalled as a child, the only thing I ate without permission from my grandfather was a chicken thigh. The old soldier returned home and discovered the fleshy thigh was bony. Knowing who could have done such a marvelous transformation, the man grabbed me by the arm while he ordered my aunt to grind the African pepper. He poured the pepper on my head and left me in the sun, then invited all the children on the street to play a band made out of plastic rubber bag while I dance like a masquerade with a torn pant. After that special treatment, whenever I see someone’s belonging, I remember my grandfather face pouring the ground hot spice on my head.

Well, that was the Nigeria I grew up, parents were very cultural and disciplined. Stealing was believed to be a stain to the family’s name and your parents would rather skin you alive than to let you get away with it. In today’s Nigeria, things have changed. Stealing are the professional career of parents, some use their children bank accounts to hide the diverted public funds.

I kept thinking, maybe, who knows, Nigeria will be great again, who knows, one day, the Land of the great will be blessed with King Joseph and not the many Pharaohs we have now. Suddenly, it occurred to me that Nigerian leaders are suffering from a narcissistic disorder.

Why haven’t I thought about this all these years? The signs are there, it is very vivid and I could not realize that the disorder is now passed from fathers to children?.

Let’s analyze some signs of this disorder according to Help Guide.

“Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) involves a pattern of self-centered, arrogant thinking and behavior, a lack of empathy and consideration for other people, and an excessive need for admiration. Others often describe people with NPD as cocky, manipulative, selfish, patronizing, and demanding. This way of thinking and behaving surfaces in every area of the narcissist’s life: from work and friendships to family and love relationships.”

Tell me, does that sound familiar? People with this kind of disorder resist any form of change in their behaviors, even when it’s causing them problems. The motive is to turn the blame on others. They are usually very sensitive and react crazily to the slightest criticism, disagreements, perceived slights, which they translate as personal attacks. To live peacefully with a narcissist, you go along with whatever demand they make to avoid attack, coldness, and rages.

Again, does this sound familiar? Let’s now list the signs, perhaps, this will make it even clearer for you.

Grandiose sense of self-importance:

Nigerians, mainly the leaders feed their inferiorities with grandiose. They show Hollier than thou with a hoity-toity mentality. They do everything to demonstrate they are progressively prevalent, “one of a kind or exceptional” than you. They believe nobody understands them other than exceptional individuals such as themselves. They only want to associate and be associated with other high-status people, places, and things. Do you have a friend or a politician like this?

Lives in a fantasy world that supports their delusions of grandeur:
Since reality hit them in the face, they develop a fantasy that makes them live in a world beyond, a world propped up by distortion, delusion, self-deceit. “They spin self-glorifying fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, attractiveness, and ideal love that make them feel special and in control.” Who do you think has this quality among your Senators, President, Governors even the Instagramers?

Needs constant praise and admiration
Narcissists feed on constant praises and admirations and when they don’t get it, they whip, rage and willing to hurt anyone in their ways. The fantasy of superiority blows in their faces if they don’t receive the constant applause to keep the balloon inflated. Narcissists need consistent nourishment for their sense of self, so they encircle themselves with individuals who are happy to take into account their fanatical longing for attestation. These relationships are very one-sided. It’s all about what the admirer can do for the narcissist, never the other way around. And, if there is ever an intrusion or diminishment in the admirer’s consideration and recognition, the narcissist regards it as a betrayal. Again, does this sound like Nigerian leaders? I mean, right from the Nigeria President to the local government Chairman?

Sense of entitlement

I realized that all Nigerian leaders have this sense of entitlement. They believe because they are special, they should get whatever they need. The people around them are expected to provide it, otherwise, such a person is considered irrelevant. If you dare ask for anything in return, you are likely to meet rage, anger, cold shoulder and a sense of betrayer from those already betraying you. Do you know any leader like this?

Exploits others without guilt or shame

Narcissists lack empathy. That is their greatest weapon. They exploit others without shame. They believe they are entitled to everything and you are not qualified to get anything. Like in Nigeria, the government divert the funds meant for the general public while they care not if the people it’s meant for are suffering. Remember the Minister of Information Lai Mohammed who said President Muhammadu Buhari deserves the best because he flew to the United Kingdom for medical tourism while Nigerians face the rotten medical system? Narcissists do not think how their behaviors affect others and if you point it out, you likely expose yourself to their attacks. The solution is that you have to keep quiet and dare not complain. Don’t forget they have admirers who are watching every step you make and every group you belong to.

Frequently demeans, intimidates, bullies, or belittles others:

Because of their fantasy world, they do everything to keep it at a level where you will never be able to stand up. They constantly reduce you, intimidate, demean and bully you just to keep you at their fingertips. E.g A few days ago, a student of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Ikot Akpaden, Joy Nkanang was suspended indefinitely for calling the Vice Chancellor Eno Ibanga “foolish” on Facebook.

Ms. Nkanang only expressed her anger over the increased threat to properties and lives in the University campus since the school authority won’t allow a protest not to expose the rot in the school. Remember, you are supposed to keep quiet when a narcissist drains the blood out of your vain. With the current situation in Nigeria, there are journalists in prison, lecturers fired, buildings bulldozered by mini narcissists for challenging the authorities of their boss.

Someone with this disorder always thinks of what to get from the people and not what to give. They usually have nothing to give and they won’t let you say it to their face. When you finally get the bull to speak out, you get intimidated, bullied, demeaned and belittled. Is there a leader of such in your state?

After I thought of these signs, I realized that Nigeria may never reach its true potentials as many Nigerians are now pushed to kowtow the system set by the narcissist’s leaders. The son of the President was recently rated as one of the richest youths even though he can’t disclose where he received his monthly salary.

The Nigeria of today is self-inflicted by the narcissist leaders who have transferred the blood to their offsprings. Many Nigerians now suffer from Stockholm syndrome (feelings of trust or affection felt in many cases of kidnapping or hostage-taking by a victim towards a captor.)

Is there a solution to this disorder in a country where the kidnappers are more than the victims? How do you stop a wildfire from spreading in the summer with limited water supply? If you ask me, na who I go ask?

It’s now obvious that President Muhammadu Buhari, the self-acclaimed self righteous and his counterpart, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who believed that he is the best thing that ever happened to Nigerians, the state governors, current and past, former and current ministers, lawmakers, Nigerian pastors, Yahoo Yahoo boys whose first thought is to buy expensive cars and spend thousands at a night club whenever they make money, or tricking their victims to surrender their wealth without thinking of how they feel later, local government chairmen, and those always insulting you at WhatsApp groups whose true intention is to be seen by political leaders rather than the objectives of the groups, are all suffering from narcissists disorder.

Name one person you know that is suffering from this disorder. Let’s start from your state politicians to the federal power.

PoliticsRe: INTERVIEW: Eedris Abdulkareem Bombs Buhari, Endorses Atiku For President by crazynation(op): 8:36pm On Feb 15, 2019
Interesting!!!
PoliticsINTERVIEW: Eedris Abdulkareem Bombs Buhari, Endorses Atiku For President by crazynation(op): 9:05pm On Feb 14, 2019
Nigerian controversial rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem bares it all in this interview with Ehi Ekhator, NAIJA CENTER NEWS. He bombs President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, and talks about the Saturday 16 Presidential election.

Excerpt:

Over the years you have expressed your views about governance in Nigeria, how would you view the current administration?

My candid opinion is that President Mohammadu Buhari’s government has failed us all, including his diehard supporters irrespective of their posturing and grandstanding.

Mr Buhari said he inherited an almost recessive economy and has listed his numerous achievements, would you agree with that? Why?

This question in itself exposes the insincerity of this government! If Mr Buhari inherited a recessive economy from the GEJ government, how come everything is now beyond the reach of the common man? How come the US Dollar that exchanged at a steady rate of 150 Naira per Dollar is now exchanged at 365 Naira per dollar? How come a litre of fuel is sold at 165 Naira as against 86 naira under the previous administration despite the fact that Mr Buhari’s government is paying Trillions of naira in fuel subsidies? There are many questions begging for answers here! Nigerians are under a heavy yoke right now!

The Saturday election is between the two main contestants, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and the Muhammadu Buhari of the APC, who do you think will win?

With the current pitiable state of affairs in Nigeria, and the fact that my people, my family, my friends and my fans are all enmeshed in the sufferings, bad governance and nonchalant ‘you can go to hell’ dispositions of the current administration, I’ll tell you for free that this is the easiest choice to make!

Choosing between a business-minded consummate politician with structures strewed around the nation, and tens of thousands of Nigerians in gainful employment in his numerous business concerns and a man who is known to have only 150 herds of cows for many years now is not a big deal!

Of course, we want a manager of men and resources, a resourceful person!
Our plan is to get Nigeria Working Again with Atiku Abubakar.

Compare and contrast between Buhari and Atiku

This is like comparing the Eiffel Towers with the diminutive Lekki Bridge Tower in Lagos, Nigeria. Atiku worked and rose through the ranks of the Nigerian Customs Services to get to the pinnacle of his profession!

He is a consummate and cerebral businessman with cosmopolitan appeal! Atiku has more than a thousand herds of cattle in his private ranch. He sits atop a conglomerate that employs more than 100,000 Nigerians. He has been tested and trusted as Obasanjo’s Vice President!

He has built educational institutions and is known to be involved in many charitable organizations. He is well read and accessible!

Buhari, on the other hand, has been eating from the government coffers since his early twenties and is only known with his 150 herds of cattle. He is an illiterate, vindictive, draconian and visionless!

Who will you vote for?

Of course, I stand with the man of the hour! Atiku has my VOTE!!!

Nigeria, speculators say is at the brink and this election may break us, do you think this is true?

A lot has been said in that direction, but it behoves Nigerians themselves to close ranks together and make sure the country survives this! The only snag I see here is thatMr.

Buhari might refuse to accept the unprecedented defeat that Nigerians are going to hand to him and his cronies! This too shall pass away as Nigeria will survive Buhari and all the prophets of doom predicting damnation.

What brought Buhari to power was his promises to tackle insecurity, corruption and build on the economy, has he done all that?

No, he hasn’t delivered on any of his myriad of promises! Insecurity in the country has taken a new and bold turn! Herdsmen are now known as headsmen (killers)! Killing and raping have been elevated to a new and dangerous level, while the officialization of corruption has been completed!

In Nigeria today, the most corrupt person is immediately declared or rather canonized a saint once he or she joins Mr. bBuhari’spolitical party, APC!

What do you have Nigerians who are divided as the election draws nearer?

My sincere appeal to all undecided Nigerian voters is that they should reflect on their lives and gauge how far they have fared under this administration and compare and contrast that with their lives under the previous government!

I want them to sincerely evaluate all these and check whether they are appreciating in value or depreciating. In so doing can they be able to make informed and intelligent decisions! We need to get Nigeria back on its feet again!

What message do you have for NCN team?

For the NCN team, I can only say more power to excel higher, and more wisdom to serve the Nigerian people without fear or favour!

Nigeria is at a crossroad now and the time has come for the mainstream media, both print and electronic to take up the gauntlet and stand by the side of the people!

I believe you’re doing a wonderful job for us all and I appeal to you to please keep the fire blazing! God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
