Yujin:Your fire na weak fire, yellow flame. |
Protest for something reasonable, not for selfish political aims. Wise up |
Both of them are right, police should do the right thing. Mr Police man act right, that is a public service duty, no oppression, no illegal jailing. |
People that steal public funds are public enemies, their actions destroy average Nigerians. |
wowcatty:Nigerian governumuat take this seriously, you can't say a plane of a president will be bombed, this is a disgrace to allow this little boy do all these and go free. |
Yujin:Headless mob are different from reasonable people, you are not an headless mob because of your ethnicity, you are an headless mob because of the headless mob, fascists behavior some or most of Obi supporters engage in...not all LP members are part of headless mob, but you will agree that the behavior is animalistic and devoid of reason. |
Nonsense talk, both of you instead of making the state work, you were busy fighting over government like it's your personal property. |
US government those are the headless mob. |
You dumb supporters of David, now see that the idiot is trying to start a war between Nigeria and Niger. Nigeria must hunt Hundeyin and charge him to court for incitement and creating tension between Nigeria and Niger. Libel, defamation of character and leaking military secrets are serious offences against the law. |
Yujin:You headless mobs took your madness to US court, what a mad Obidient group. |
Facts, Nigerian soldiers are more important to Nigerian citizens than musicians. |
RepoMan007:I see you are a religious zombie...you people are brainwashed, do not follow either reason, empirical evidence or facts/evidence, but simply indoctrination. I don't engage with people that talk about heaven etc...shows your IQ is low, this is a public forum, not a religious forum. |
Especially those in go slow, they are an eyesore and most are criminals at night having acclimatized to the terrain and becoming confident, because they are allowed to roam the streets freely. The public spaces must be sanitized. Some of these hawkers are spies go around at day time checking out targets and moving in at night. |
RepoMan007:Billions of people round the world agrees that Mandela is one of the greatest human being that ever lived. Your opinion is inconsequential. |
TheSuperX:O okay. Mandela's greatness lives on. |
Mynd44:That guy is dumb, but playing a dangerous game, all to build his false image and profits, via likes and engagement, but he is doing that at a high cost, stirring up conflict between Nigeria and Niger. Obi supporters are encouraging him, but he will be surprised at the end. |
David stop inciting war between Nigeria and Niger, you are playing in big boys territory undermining a whole nation, don't cry like a kid when legal actions are taken. Ignorance is no excuse. |
Your grand father was a great man, his greatness still lives |
GeneralPula:I don't engage dumb Obidient kids who have been entrenched with bitterness from birth, that they are a lost cause and a big problem for Nigeria. For the benefit of enlightenment, I mentioned Ghadaffi and BRICS group in same instance because Ghadaffi was fighting for a common currency for Africa to trade with, to break the monopoly and rip off being prepetrated by the West using dollars, and BRICS nation using local currencies to pay for trade between them. BRICS will not come out openly and tell you their terms, but BRICS has great benefits for South Africa's economy. Before you reply a thread as serious as this, looking for solutions to our economic problem, particularly falling currency value, make sure you contribute with a solution, not spreading your dumb bigotry like the block headed headless mob kid you are. Dumb head go play with your dumb mates, mentioning bala bulu shows you are a kid, and just talking what you are not sure of. |

benuejosh:You are right, but I added the rest because of where we are now, they are important too, if government look into the advice raised here, we can reduce dollar rate by 50% within the next year, this is when Nigerians will witness true prosperity, when our wealth stays here. More expansion, more employment, more wealth, and our youths won't be attracted to go continue neo colonialism abroad via immigration and asylum seeking, due to failed naira currency. This flight of human resources capital is also very bad. |
We are wasting so much value and resources chasing about a currency, US dollars. Nigeria must get trade arrangements with nations we import most of the things we import from, at least 3 or 4 nations we get the bulk of our imports from, start off an economic/trade group, where we agree to pay each other with local currency for trade between us. This will largely reduce our demand for dollars. Nigerians wake up, stop being fooled, nothing fly or glamorous with showing off or holding dollars...when government intervene with these policies, round tripping will cease, people will stop living off speculating on dollar rates in Nigeria. |
VeeVeeMyLuv:It's a shame that we have allowed a foreign currency rip us off so bad. You can never see a reasonable government have this type of problem. All the western nations and European nations have special trade agreements between each other and do what they want, but force Africa through their WTO puppets to follow the WTO, IMF like sheep to slaughter. The BRICS group was started to break dollar supremacy and the great rip off America has been prepetrating using a currency...Dollar. Nigeria wake up, Ghadaffi has been saying this long ago. South African president is a very wise man, for joining that BRICS organization, it's purely for economic reasons. |
@CBN @FG @mods please move to frontpage. |
The naira keeps falling because our import volume keeps increasing as per increasing population, and we are not producing to meet this rate of population growth, thus increased demands for goods means increased demand for imported goods, which means increased demand for dollars to pay for these goods... but what if we find nations to trade with that will accept naira...and we accept their own currency for what we sell to them, this is the secret of BRICS group. Using so much naira to buy a few dollars is our fault, and this means we are spending so much of our wealth chasing about a piece of a foreign nation"s currency...we must escape from this neo colonialism trap, and stop seeing dollars as gold, it's a means of exchange not a store of value. IMF, world bank, WTO, are all tools of America and the West for global economic control, who gave the order that we must trade internationally with dollars? Most Nigerians like spending dollars to show off or for fashion, but they don't know the more you demand for dollars in Nigeria, the more the value of dollar increases, the value of dollar against naira will drop if we reduce our demand for dollars. This is a valid statement of fact. Since we use naira in Nigeria, there is absolutely no need for us to be spending dollars inside Nigeria. CBN must do this immediately to reverse this ugly trend. 1) Advise the federal government to pursue monetary policy, ensuring no more leakages in the disbursement of forex and discouraging round tripping, using measures as currency marking etc. 2) Advise federal government to put import celling on importation of certain products we don't need, to reduce our demand for dollars to pay for imported products, the more we demand for dollars to pay for imports, the more our currency value falls. 3)All payment in Nigeria must be made in naira. 4) Central bank must focus on giving loans to production industries, focus on job creation and manufacturing and production factories and units, to produce more of what we consume. 5) increase taxes on luxury goods that are imported into Nigeria, luxury cars, private jets etc,.to discourage flight of wealth from Nigeria. Nigerians are the largest spenders on Champagne, luxury cars, private jets in Africa, this is a huge capital flight, because those big manufacturing companies don't have assembly plants in Nigeria, and no local inputs. Government must invest in ajaokuta steel, force companies to go into assembly of cars in Nigeria, and use our steel, plastic etc... 6) Government must invest in and go into Joint ventures with industrialists, we must process our agricultural products before exporting and stop exporting raw materials, to boost the value chain, create more employment, get more value from the resources, and more national revenue etc 7) Federal government must work with Dangote refinery, so they start operation quickly, if we can stop importing pms alone for now, we will drastically boost our currency value. Chronic importation and excessive use of dollars in Nigeria is bad. We don't use dollar in Nigeria, let's abandon naira...go into trade agreement with nations that will receive naira for imports. Nairaland moderators please push this to frontpage, we need ideas, so the Nigerian CBan governor, can come get some suggestions here. Please share. |
Too small a amount, seize all he has...this plea bargain is only good for misdemeanor cases, maybe libel, threats, without action carried out...but this man carried out a grievous action, his actions caused unrest and mass suffering of Nigerians. How can you withdraw currency from circulation...this is unheard of, serious economic sabotage. |
Vlad interviews got him jammed up, he was paid for the interviews though. The proffer agreement only covered the evidence he gave to authorities, any evidence outside that is not covered. I think he didn't read the fine lines. |
Of course for privacy reasons. I won't want my results out there for all to see as well, unless it's absolutely necessary, which in this case it isn't, for Mr president. |
Transportation must be regulated because of the security risks, biometrics, licensing control and even tags, cameras etc, can be mandated for all vehicles carrying passengers on the road, eithers buses, cabs, uber or cars...and there must be a central control system in coordination between police and FRSC, drivers licensing and plate licensing agencies. This synergy, under a system, all coordinated with simultaneous communications into a central information processing unit, will help in fighting vehicle theft, one chance, kidnapping etc. |
