You spoilt your post by hyping her 'British English'.

You Africans need to stop thinking like this.

That's your Number 1 problem - this strange adoration you have for those that enslaved, colonised and brutalized your ancestors, and looted your natural resources as colonialists for a century and more.

It makes you SO vulnerable to their machinations.

The Chinese and Indians are very different.

They don't WANT to sound European or anything else but the way they sound. PERIOD. If you don't like their accent, don't listen. Go away. That is their attitude.

Same with religion. They still worship their cows and dragons etc till today.

They simply updated their religions and continued with them, unlike you that just abandoned it all and carried Arab Koran and English bible.

Now that you've turned to 'black Englishmen' and 'black Arab men', is your country better and safer than those Asian countries that stuck with their own traditions?

Now you want her to even sound more English.

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery!

- Bob Marley
Lol, who’s this muppet?

Again: Naledi’s British English is impeccable.

If you don’t like it, suck yuh madda.

Take your sermon to your fellow Nigerians.

This looks good. Good move by African leaders.

I hope the AU would stand firm and condemn the treatment these people received in Poland yesterday. That was one of the most disrespectful treatment of leaders I have ever seen. And I doubt Poland has the balls to do it unitarily - the order came from Washington, London, Paris and Brussels. What happened in Poland yesterday is a lesson to idiotic Africans that are stuck on eating western diicks - they’ll always treat you like a monkey regardless of your status.

Putin and Xi are running circles around the squares of these inbred western leaders. By the time they’re done with the west - a lot of western countries would be asking for bailout from Africa, like Portugal did with Angola. You know their time is up when you start hearing phrases like, “attack against our values”, lol. The values they have: imperialism, following nazism by invading non-white countries and domination. They pushed their luck too far with Russia and this is the beginning of the end of their era.

Too bad Gaddafi isn’t alive to witness this paradigm shift in geopolitics, at a time when Africa needs a strong and boisterous leader. Ramaphosa of South Africa is doing a decent job but he tends to be too diplomatic sometimes. But I like Naledi Pandor - she’s Mama Africa - strong, fearless, articulate and her British English is impeccable. Hopefully, she’ll become South Africa’s president after Ramaphosa.
PoliticsSome Obidients Played The Script Of Others Pushing For Interim Gov - Soyinka by Creeper(op): 1:14am On Jun 17, 2023
According to the literary icon, some Obidients claiming to be radical were playing the script of some other people, which had been designed before the February 25 presidential election.
Noble laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka has insisted that some supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, popularly known as ‘Obidients’ are fascists.

Speaking during the question-and-answer session at the launch of his book titled “The Putin Files: Excursions Around The Ideology Of Pain”, the latest in the popular Interventions series in Lagos on Friday, Soyinka described some members of the Obidient movement as appalling to think that only governments and government agencies could be fascists.

Soyinka, who said this while responding to a question asked by poet and lawyer Ogaga Ifowodo, as to why he called Obidients fascists, used the 2020 #EndSARS protest as an example of a struggle driven by pure truth.

“#EndSARS is one of the most successful movements in this country,” he said.

He said that he supported the #EndSARS protest and even addressed some protesters when he was leaving Lagos for Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital during the protest.

“They begged me not to go, I said I’m going,” he said and narrated how he “stood on the median and addressed the crowd”.

In comparison with the #EndSARS protest, Soyinka said that what the Obidients were trying to do was mobilisation of youth to defend an untruth, noting that he had been there and seen when the immediate former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, pushed people to kill innocent serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by claiming he was cheated out of an election.

According to the literary icon, some Obidients claiming to be radical were playing the script of some other people, which had been designed before the February 25 presidential election.

He said long before the election, some people had schemed to tilt the country towards having an interim government.

“That tendency had been apparent even before the election,” he said.

“So some of those who thought they were being radical, they were being ‘mumu’ (foolish), and “playing the script of others”.

The Nobel laureate said that he knew that after his statement on Friday, a mob of Obidients would again launch an attack against him online by opening what he described as their “dictionary of abuses”, adding that he would be happy to face them.

“They can go back to the internet, open their dictionary of abuses ad start all over again, I will come back and tell them that you are ‘mumu’ (foolish). You were not playing your script,” he said.

He noted that if they were knowledgeable, they would be “able to put two and two together”.

Soyinka in an interview with Channels Television before the February 25 presidential election said that if Obi lost the election, it would be his followers who lost it for him.

Reacting to Soyinka’s statement, Obidients lashed out at him on social media and on some mainstream media.

But responding to the Obidients’ disparaging comments against him, Soyinka through a statement titled, ‘Fascism on course’ said the “seeds of incipient fascism in the political arena have evidently matured.”

He added, “It would appear that a record discharge of toxic sludge from our notorious smut factory is currently clogging the streets and sewers of the Republic of Liars. It goes to prove the point that provoked the avalanche Exactly!

Foreign AffairsRe: Watch How Russia Weapons Stops Ukraine Offensive Part Two by Creeper: 5:21pm On Jun 16, 2023
Kingsnairaland:
What a joke, to Ukraine military men they moved into a few empty settlements in the skirmish zone otherwise know as the GrayZone kilometres away from the actual Russian defensive lines,

they then retreated from most of them after waving a flag for the photo op before the Russians shelled them, its merely a propaganda stunt to try and placate the western backers of the proxy war,

these little moves will then be spun by the media to try and claim them as serious gains so they can try and use it to get more funding at the NATO summit next month…. 🤷‍♂️
The reason for the failure of Ukraine/NATO with this offensive is a combination of two things: they started believing their own Goebbels-esque propaganda and Russia adapting to the battlefield.

Western military strategists believe they would be able to out-maneuver the Russians with small and mobile attacks like they did in Kharkov where Russians withdrew but did it in an unorganised manner. And they have had some successes with the use of small mobile units throughout the war. However, Russia has also ditched the new BTG formation which was created by Gerasimov - for the old Soviet style formation which they are used to. So, in essence, they’re currently fighting the real Russia and they stand zero chance.

Also, most of the overhyped weapons and western military doctrine were created for countries like Iraq and Afghanistan - not a peer like Russia. Hence they’re being turned into scrap metal with ease.

Regardless, they need to stop this war now because they can’t win. And the longer they push - the closer we’ll get to WW3 with nukes flying. Ukrainians are just getting mauled like rats and at this rate - there won’t be any Ukrainian man left in Ukraine by the end of next year. This is a terrible purge and something needs to be done fast to stop it.

The government should not allow any foreign company or persons own such agricultural land. Chinese were stopped from doing this in US. This is wrong and will kill local farmers. If it’s not technology foreigners are bringing in then they should be restricted.
It’s basically greed and extreme capitalism. And it’s happening all over Africa with governments selling all the arable lands to foreigners from China, EU, India, America, UK, Arabs, etc., for mechanised agriculture. If they’re not stopped - all the arable lands on the continent would be sold off to foreigners in the next two decades.

These leaders are terrible and they lack foresight. Why not educate these farmers on modern agricultural processes, subsidise them and create programmes that would make loans available to them? You can just keep kicking people off their ancestral lands - for foreigners. These leaders are allergic to thinking about the long term consequences of their actions.

Ghanaian immigrants? That's possible. But the dish is now Pan- West African. So who's responsible? Sahelians are the only group of people that move around the most.

What do you think of the link?
A lot of Ghanaians used to live in Nigeria before they were kicked out. And I believe Nigerians learnt Jollof rice from them, the same way Nigerians copied highlife music from them.

Ever heard about Ghana must go? Well, that’s Nigerians kicking Ghanaians out of their country.

Anyway, jollof rice originated from Senegambia region and must’ve later found its way to Liberia/Ghana via Mande speakers who are indigenous to Senegambia, Liberia, Ghana and a host of countries in West Africa. Then it got to Nigeria via Ghanaians.

The link isn’t accessible.

Historical trends have shown that information and culture in West Africa usually spreads from the far west sahelian countries (Mali/ Senegal) This happened with Jellof Rice & Islam,

And do yorubas really think this didn't happen with Agbada?

In regards to your question on iro & buba. Have a look at this:

https://fashionhistory.fitnyc.edu/boubou/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CIt%20has%20been%20suggested%20that,until%20the%20late%20nineteenth%20century.
You can’t compare jollof rice which most likely came to Nigeria via Ghanaian immigrants in the post-colonial era and style of dressing. Yorubas have been wearing clothes since time immemorial.

Islam also got to Yorubaland in the 15th century during Oyo empire, which was the 2nd empire Yorubas built, after Ife empire’s decline.

So, I doubt agbada got to Yorubaland via Islam.

ImperialYoruba:
Na Yoruba originate Agbada.

Look, the Arewa symbol that Northern people put on everything, na Yoruba own am.

It is taboo in Islam to identify with image, or so Notherners thought. Right about 1957 when colonial government was looking for a symbol that each region will use for self identification, Hausa North turned down every symbol proposed and claimed it was not in line with Islam. So in frustration, colonial govt began using the Solomon Knot (which is an ancient totem and a heirloom of Yoruba royalty) for any document and state symbol for North. Thats how it became an official symbol for them. Luckily we have pictures of Yoruba Obas that predated 1957 and you can see the weave on their Agbada. However, no picture or representation of the symbol anywhere in North prior to its 1957 adoption. The specific lineage of this totem is Oranmiyan. He bequeathed it to Oyo. From Oyo it gained wide usage in Yoruba.

Dont play with Yoruba when it comes to archived history and culture. We are originators.

I will even go further and say there is a very expensive clothing worn by Ibo women and is called George. Its origin is Yoruba and it was a weave pattern. In modern times that pattern would be patented. The specific Yoruba group that owned and made the weave was Ijebu.

Now, how did it get to Ibo?

Itsekiri traded it with portuguese merchants. From them it got to Calabar. Feom Calabar to Iboland.

I will teach Ibo history of its ancestral journey from nude to semi nude to this modern time copying Yoruba dress style and urbanism.
At bold: I believe you’re alluding to Ijebu’s “Aso Olona”. Ijebus traded those clothes to Nembe Ijaws and I think Igbos got it from them and co-opted it as their traditional cloth.

And you’re right - agbada most likely has Yoruba origin. Danshiki as well.

From the Census report, it also shows that the Nupes and Hausas also have origin in Lagos and can claim ancestral heritage to Lagos.

The moment other settlers came early to co-habit with the original settlers of Lagos, and both settled seamlessly like the ones from Benin Republic and Togo, one is safe to say that Lagos does not belong to Yoruba alone.
The Nupes and Hausas were slaves and warriors. Slaves can’t claim ownership - same is applicable to warriors who’re part of the army of a Yoruba subgroup.

Anyway, those amongst them who remained in the place have been Yorubanised and they’re Yoruba today.

Bruddah, it’s not that deep and you can pretty much tell both are just trying to live their fantasies and are too dumb to know how to navigate, due to lack of experience and self-awareness. I have followed both since they were young in the AAU circuit because they’re popular on YouTube and you can tell their lives have been about basketball and whatever fantasies they’re trying to live now.

Why would any normal person with $100 milli in the bank (with potentials to make over $500 milli more) even want to entertain a IndecentStar that gets paid to get fccked on camera like she’s your girl or bread up a known escort? Or want to be a plastic gangster at that stage of his life?

If I had that type of money and potentials - I’m running through A-list celebs. And if I want to deal with these insta skets - I’m getting a female PA that would sort that out while they sign NDA, lol.

Also, who gives a fcck about being seen as a tough guy when $100 milli is in the bank? Fcck that tough guy and gangster shyt - that’s a ticket to death or prison. Those who got caught up in the lifestyle had to do it for their survival to be where Ja is. Once you’re a survivor - it’s ok to be the softest guy in the world. The toughness you need is your bank account.

Both are hustling backwards and it’s due to their childhood and lack of life experiences. Personal demons aren’t responsible for this, trust me. Only people who deal with personal demons are those who have past trauma (PTSD) - definitely not these two sheltered idiots.

Things to note:

- Yoruba = Oyo
- Oke-Odan = Egba (most likely Owu-Egba since there’s also Egba in the census).
- Jebu = Ijebu
- Ketu = Yorubas from Republic du Benin
- Popo = another group of Yorubas from Republic du Benin + Ogus (Eguns).
- Lagos = Saros and Amaros.

Finally, it shows almost Yoruba subgroups have always been in Lagos, from Ijeshas, to Egbas, to Aworis, to Oyos, to Ijebus, to Ondo, to Ife, all the way to Yorubas from Republic du Benin and most likely Togo. The only non-Yorubas who co-existed with Yorubas albeit in very small numbers were Tapas (Nupes) and Hausas.

babaolofin:
You are an illiterate and an uncivilized crude Onitsha main market trader.

What makes him the least qualified? Is it because he is a Yoruba? Is it because he has an engineering background? You are a fool.

You can see how shallow minded you are. While it is true that not everybody who works in bank is a banker, also, it is not every banker that can become CBN governor. Management of monetary policy (financial system regulation and fiscal policy) of a Nation is different from core banking operations. An engineer that has been in the banking environment for over 3 decades by training is well equipped to head CBN.

Firstly, I am an engineer in addition to other professional trainings and qualifications. My engineering training opened my intelligence more than any other training I have done because of hard thinking, mathematical modelling and analysis, control systems, statistics, engineering economics & management.
If I have devoted my entire life in the financial sector of the economy, I would be better than anybody in the understanding of the operations of economy. Digital economy and Financial Tech platforms (Cryptocurrency, online banks, etc) are not isolated from fiscal policy, micro and macro economic analysis of the economy.

Head of Operations department of CBN is not just to oversee SWIFT and International and Local Electronics Financial Telecommunications (EFT) platforms or various Financial TELEX platforms but must understand the economy and operations.

Kindly show us the Organogram (Organization Chart) of CBN that makes the Deputy Governor (Operations Department) the least qualified to be an Acting Governor of CBN. You are very parochial and unenlightened. I am taking you for a crude and an uncivilized Onitsha main market trader. Representing a governor at events does not mean the person automatically is the next governor. It might be due to the relationship between the governor and the person, it might be due to deals and not necessarily the month or year of appointment to the board. Soludo used Tunde Lemo as his right hand man not because Tunde Lemo was older on the board than other Deputy Governors but because they graduated from Nzuka.

Is the Financial System stability or Corporate Services more than Operations Department? What is the effect of the Financial System stability or Corporate Services on the operations of the banking systems and various International and local banking platforms being used in Nigeria? Operations Department is the engine room and the heart of the banking systems. This is where fraud and deals are transmitted electronically and this is where EFCC and DSS monitor and track.

Tinubu is different from Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan and Buhari. Tinubu had first class in Business Admin (Accounting).

CBN governor is not the only person managing the economy. We have economic team. Economic Adviser and Minister of Finance are part of the team. Tinubu as the President and a private sector expert is the Chief Economic Adviser to himself. Tinubu understands economics and economy. Tinubu had dialogue with the private sector during campaign. He will continue to interact with them. He needs a Tech person now.

Finally, your problem is that the Acting governor is Yoruba. If Fola Adeola, the founding partner of GTB is appointed as CBN governor, you will still cry, you will still wail. Show us all the Jonathan appointments. Show us all the Yaradua and Buhari appointment.

You are very uncivilized, it is better you focuse on trading and clearing and forwarding matters.
Your posts on this thread are insightful and are like rays of light in a sea of darkness.

Keep it up.

Nigeria definitely dodged a massive bullet with the 1966 counter-coup. If not, Igbos would have turned other Nigerians into Palestinians. The more I look at Igbos, the more I see a lot of things the Zionists amongst Kazan/Ashkenazi Jews used to do in Europe pre-WW1/2. But the only difference is that: while Kazan/Ashkenazi Jews are very intelligent and stealth - Igbos love being loud, vainglory and gross exaggeration.

Zik and the first set of Igbos that studied in America must’ve studied Zionism whilst in the US and decided to use the same playbook for Igbo consciousness. It’s so glaring with everything they do. I guess that’s why they think they’re Jews.

Emefiele is the fall guy in this "game of throne"

Information is Power
Power is power
Tinubu has both 🙌
I’m pretty sure he knows who the cabal is.

Isn’t the former American (African American) diplomat, Brian Browne, one of his closest associates/confidants? He knows a lot hence he’s always a step ahead of everyone. The likes of Brian Browne went through Langley when it was at its best during the Cold War era and they’re the best of the best.

I believe Tinubu had close relationship within the upper echelon of the DSS even before he became president.

Tinubu knows a lot (you can’t move the way he moves without knowing your opponent’s next move). But he can’t declare total war right now - until he has his own loyal people installed everywhere, including the military. Emefiele is a useful tool that’s disposable and poses no threat - so he’s always going to be the first fall guy.
PoliticsRe: Arrest Buhari alongside Emefiele - Sowore by Creeper: 1:47pm On Jun 10, 2023
It is time to indict, arrest and try his accomplices as well. They include his principal, @MBuhari , the ex-Attorney General, Abubakar @Malami SAN. Buhari’s cousin and ex- Private Secretary, Tunde Sabiu, Chief of Defense Staff, General Irabor whose wife was given the task of printing naira notes under the pretext of being falsely appointed by the Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company.
This is too soon and it would mean a total declaration of war against people who are still very influential within the power/military corridors of Nigeria and enough money/war-chest to go to war. It would be suicidal for Tinubu, who’s still at the infancy stage of his presidency - with a tribunal hanging over his head and without full control of the military - to do this.

If there’s anything Tinubu has shown - it’s his patience and how he makes moves like a chess player. It’s somewhat reminiscent of Putin and I have alluded to him having a bit of Putin in him, in one of my posts on this forum.

Emefiele is the weakest link - with no bite. And it’s understandable why he’s the first collateral damage. Tinubu is somewhat vindictive/spiteful from what I’ve seen and he’ll surely get to the rest of them in due course when he’s totally in control. The only person that will probably escape his wrath is Buhari.

Also, you can’t be an authentic Yoruba with a Berber last name. So, his ancestry is questionable until further notice. It’s basically the same way you Igbos brought some Chinedu Rhodes Vivour and claimed the monkey is an “authentic Lagosian”. I initially believed the lie until he was exposed. And after further digging, I discovered that Chinedu’s forebears were walking around butt naked in Igbotic rain forest when they were kidnapped by Arochukwu and sold into slavery via Bight of Bonny.

Anyway, these laws should’ve been in place years ago as non-Yorubas started trooping into Lagos. It shows the lack of foresight by Yoruba leaders and why all of them will never be able to lace Awolowo’s boots. Or perhaps, it’s due to greed. But you don’t build prosperity in a city due to excessive population - you do it based on the quality of people in the population.

Welsh, Irish and Scottish people had to learn the hard way from English encroachment. And they had to fight to salvage what they could get and enforced laws for self-preservation.

There’s a reason why the white population in America (which is a stolen land) has refused to ditch the old constitution written when the blacks were slaves and Asians/Latinos were non-existent - for its new reality and demographic. You know why? - changing that constitution to represent the new reality will negate their claim of ownership and take away their white privilege.

Canada (another stolen land) just banned non-Canadians from buying properties in Canada.

So, it’s a universal thing and the naïveté of Yoruba leaders (or perhaps greed) is the reason why you and your ilk, who makeup the destitute population of Lagos feel so entitled - with your phantom wealth and phantom lands you’re buying in your heads.

Detty December which is mostly about Accra contributed about $6billion to Ghana’s economy last year. That ought to be Lagos if it weren’t as overpopulated as it’s. Who wants to visit a city that’s a human disaster in terms of population?
