Iraq was a tiny country with degraded military before the gulf war?
Mehn...
See as disuan dey analyze rubbish with confidence sha.
Where all these bunch of idiots come from sef?
You’re a slowpoke and an illiterate due to how incoherent you sound. I didn’t even want to cuss you but learn how to be civil if you want to engage people.

Let’s start with this:

UN arms embargo on Iraq
A United Nations Security Council mandated arms embargo has existed on Iraq in various forms since 1990 in Resolution 661. Until 2003, the arms embargo applied to the whole territory of Iraq. However following the war in Iraq in 2003, and the fall of the regime, the embargo has been modified in subsequent resolutions in 2003 and 2004 so that arms sales to the Government of Iraq are permitted, but not to other end-users.

In August 1990 Security Council resolution 661 established comprehensive sanctions against Iraq, including an open-ended arms embargo. This was passed in reaction to the continued occupation of Kuwait by Iraq, following the invasion days earlier.

Resolution 661 decided that states should prohibit ‘the sale or supply by their nationals or from their territories or using their flag vessels of any commodities or products, including weapons or any other military equipment, whether or not originating in their territories’.
https://www.sipri.org/databases/embargoes/un_arms_embargoes/iraq

^That’s what you call degrading a country’s military capabilities. Especially a country that imports military hardware and parts. And Iraq was under arms embargo for 13yrs before US invaded in 2003.

I never mentioned Gulf war - I was alluding to 2003 invasion

Then this:

- Size of Iraq and population before the war: 438,317 km² and 27million people.

Compared to this:

- Size of Ukraine and population: 603,700 km² and 41million

Also, apart from the fact that Ukraine had 8years to prepare with the help of NATO and all of NATO’s resources and funding - it’s a 2nd world and borderline 1st world country since it’s an European country. Iraq on the other hand was isolated, under arms embargo and a 3rd world country.

The difference between the two in everything is like day and night.
PoliticsRe: Chicago Radio Slams INEC, Says No Drug Lord Can Be President In US (video) by Creeper: 12:43pm On May 04, 2023
Ironically, Ronald Reagan was a drug lord as POTUS and he signed off on CIA orchestrated Iran CONTRA drugs trafficking - to fund the war in Nicaragua.

And looking at the timeline - the drug kingpin Tinubu was allegedly laundering money for, was also indirectly working for Reagan/CIA, since Nigeria was a major for moving opium back then.

Americans are generally just stupid and ignorant.

instead of escalating the issue with Russia NATO will rather stage a false flag operation to so that they will have a reason to blame him and finally abandon him to his faithe, US in particular will not want to go to war With Russia because of Ukraine
Don’t underestimate the crazy neoliberals in Washington. Most of these people are relatively young and inexperienced in how the world works. And they grew up in an era when the US was bullying everyone.

Also, most American military generals are paper generals who attained the position by fighting 3rd world countries - not in real wars. All the veterans from Korean and Vietnam wars that saw the demystification American military are no longer there. So, never say never.

I read an article last year where Gen. Petraeus, the same US Gen that showed his mistress classified military documents whilst pillow talking - brazenly claimed that the US would destroy Russian forces if Russia tries to use tactical nukes against Ukraine.

Those are the type of clowns who are detached from reality that are running Pentagon.

Just looking at all the grave errors they made with the Ukrainian stuff and how it has ricocheted back - is enough to tell you the type of lousy brainless people running the show. And they will continue until it consumes everyone.

You will soon add Ukraine to that exclusive list.
Lol, too bad Ukraine doesn’t have that luxury. Ukraine is mostly flat lands with sophisticated Soviet era line of defence in the Donbass region where almost all the fighting in the war have taken place.

Once Russia takes Donbass and cross Dnipro - it’s over for Ukraine.

The only other place that would be a tad difficult for the Russians is Odessa. Everything else is gonna be easy - as long as they have enough troops.

I would like to come back to this thread when Russia is finally humilliated out of Ukraine just like in Afghanistan.
Nobody is going to use any nuclear power.
Lol, that’s wishful thinking. Russia has already degraded almost everything Ukraine has militarily and its best troops. The only thing keeping Ukraine afloat is NATO.

And the reason why I cited nuclear weapons is because both sides (NATO and Russia) can’t afford to lose. Once it becomes more obvious Ukraine has fallen - I expect NATO to escalate to a place where Russia’s hand would be forced (despite the restraints it has shown thus far) - to do something big. So, never say never.

Afghanistan is different. That’s the country where empires are buried and no country can win a war there and hold it due to geography/terrain.

If there's anything Russians are good at, it is playing the long game.

It's the same way they were patient with Ukraine for 8 years when the Kiev Nazi regime were bombing the good people of Donbass.
The long game is paying off in other places, especially with the dedollarisation and breaking of the US hegemony. But the movement in the theatre is at snail speed.

When do you think would be the appropriate time for Russia to escalate and move a tad faster? They have chewed up almost all of Ukrainian best troops in the meat grinder in Donbass without using their elite forces. So, they need to move faster because soon most of the fighting forces in Ukraine would be NATO forces cum mercenaries.

I was reading a book written in 1989 about WW3 recently and a lot of things in that book about the early stages of the war are eerily similar to what’s happening in the world right now. And the book claimed the real will start with Russia nuking Birmingham, UK. And in retaliation - Minsk in Belarus would be nuked.

It's a false flag operation by the Putin. There is no way a drone will fly all the way to the Kremlin undetected.

Like play, like play, "I can take Kyiv in two weeks if I want" is now over 1 year despite the suprise attack at the start of the war/military operations. Ukraine has shown that it's not a walk over.

The lesson here is Never underestimate your enemy no matter how small you think the enemy is. Even a small mongoose will take on a lion without fear.
Lol, I don’t think Russia needs a false flag operation to do anything to Ukraine since Ukraine has crossed the red line multiple times and Putin has shown restraint. And looking at the video and type of drones used - it’s definitely not a false flag operation.

There are 5million Ukraine refugees currently in Russia and some saboteurs who’re part of Ukrainian intelligence are definitely embedded amongst them.

Looking at the drones - they took off from within Russian borders and the operators are definitely in Russia.

Also, they could’ve taken Kiev in 2weeks if they wanted to. However, the cost would’ve been huge and insurgency would’ve crippled everything they’re trying to achieve on the long run. They took the airport and held it in one of the bravest military adventures of paratroopers in history and laid a siege on the city for months. But once you analyse it from a military perspective and the fact the Russia didn’t go into Ukraine in real war mode for conquest (it went in to force Ukraine’s hand in negotiations) - it would’ve been suicidal due to the fact Russia didn’t send enough troops into Ukraine, logistics were terrible, their lines of defences were so thin with huge gaps that they would’ve been chewed up mercilessly by Ukrainians in ambushes and guerilla warfare by small mobile troops. Russia needs at least 2million troops to take Ukraine and hold it.

Ukraine is a massive country (2nd largest in Europe after Russia) not a small country. And it had more than 1million troops that were trained by NATO for 8yrs thus making it the most prepared army in Europe. You don’t conquer such a country with 160k troops and hold it - that’s suicidal. So, once you examine that - you’d understand why Russia pulled back and changed tactics when negotiations failed.

You don’t defeat a country like Ukraine with “shock and awe” like US doctrine preaches. Even the US learnt its lesson in Iraq because after the invasion and Bush’s declaration of victory - that was when the real war started with insurgency and eventual defeat of the US. And Iraq is a tiny country with degraded military compared to Ukraine.

This Osinbajo man is either a weakling or basically just a very cunning man who’s trying to be smart by half.

Whichever one he’s, he has shown he’s not cut from the same cloth as the Great Sage and Yoruba Jesus, Chief Obafemi Awolowo - despite being an Inlaw. Awolowo was always about Yoruba first and the survival of Yoruba people - with a better understanding of what a nation should be.

I expected more from him - it’s just sad.

Biden actually has a worse corruption dossier than Trump - with his son involved in all kinds of scandals, including bribery/corruption, drugs addiction and being a sex predator. But that didn’t stop him from becoming POTUS.

Don’t get me started on the Clinton family - their corruption dossier is longer than Mt. Everest. But they’re an American royalty. So, there’s nothing to see here since you’re trying hard to make comparisons.

Below, is the link to a video of a Yoruba man speaking on behalf of himself and a group of Yoruba people in the same situation in Sudan, as the Igbo man in the OP. You’d notice that he only appealed to Yoruba governors/elders for succour and didn’t make his plight about tribal bigotry - whilst blaming another ethnic group for his woes.

It exemplifies the difference in mentality between the average Yoruba person and an Igbo person.

What's this fool saying? Why evacuate some and leave some behind? What's the special treatment. You are just a wicked soul. It's people like you that fans the ambers of divisions because of your careless utterances. Nonsense
Einstein, can you proffer a way to evacuate 3 million people (the number of Nigerians living there from what I have read) in one fell swoop from a country that’s on the cusp of civil war (the ceasefire is just for 72hrs)?

Even the UK, US and most countries in Europe are struggling to evacuate their diplomats and have told their citizens to find their way to Egypt. But somehow, an Igbo would make it about being persecuted for being Igbo and pull out the inherent victim card.

Also, isn’t an Igbo man the Foreign Minister(the buck stops at his desk)? Why drag the Yoruba woman into this?

Read this:

BabaO2:
Ibos are best trained to be hateful and blackmailers.
A yoruba man came up with video of their sufferring with wives and children in same sudan yesterday appealing to yoruba controlled states to take cue from their northern counterparts like kaduna, borno etc for their rescue, he never blackmailed federal government nor played any victim card as this one is seeing doing. What is the problem with ibos with their low self-esteem?
Nice post.

I also saw the video on Twitter yesterday and the Yoruba man was speaking in English language (to ascertain that it’s the same video). I think he also alluded to some of the women being pregnant.

This basically just shows a difference in mentality. The Yoruba would always look inward while an Igbo man who’s inherently full of hate will blame everyone but himself for his woes. And it looks like Yorubas are always their target.

Honestly, Nigeria is a moribund country that has refused to make any progress whatsoever since the 1940s. Once you open the history books and start reading the history of the country - it has been the same story from the 40s. And it’s going to be the same story in the next 200 years. The only difference is that the ‘actors’ will keep changing.

Igbos and Yorubas will never get along. It’s a rat race. Igbos inherently, as declared by Zik, believe they’re the superior race in Africa - while Yorubas who’re empires and civilisation builders will always look at the Igbos as being primitive/uncivilised/uncultured. Both groups would have to go their separate ways from the unholy matrimony - for peace to reign.

CareerRemi Adeleke: A Navy Seal’s Journey From Africa To The Bronx And To Hollywood by Creeper(op): 2:04pm On Apr 30, 2023
His dad discovered/founded Banana Island.

Remi was born into riches in Nigeria to a Nigerian father and an American mother, but following the death of his father and the unjust seizing of his family’s wealth by the Nigerian Government, Remi, his mother, and brother permanently relocated to the Bronx, New York in 1987 at age 5.

“That’s where my American journey began,” Adeleke tells PEOPLE. “And it didn’t start off well.”

At 8 years old, he began to steal, and when he went to high school, he began selling drugs and running a fake sneaker business.

“By the time I was 19, I was bringing in thousands and thousands of dollars,” he recalls. “I was using that money to fund a record company because that was my dream.”

It took Adeleke getting into a “very bad deal with a drug dealer” who showed up at his apartment and threatened both his life and his mother’s for him to “wake up and change everything”.

He vowed that very night to leave his rough and dangerous life in the past. For the next six months, he thought hard about what to do next.

“I decided to join the military,” says Adeleke. “I finally came to the realization that I had nothing left. I had failed at everything in my mind. I had failed at my record company, I had failed at selling drugs, I failed at all of these things and I was like, ‘What else do you have left, Remi? You have absolutely nothing left.’ I had to hit rock bottom first.”

At the recruiter’s office, he met Tiana Reyes, a woman who would change his life forever. When she ran a background check on him, she saw he had two warrants out for his arrest.

“I tried to bolt out of there because I knew I wouldn’t be able to join the military now,” he says, “but she asked me where I was going and if I had a suit.”

Adeleke told her no, but that he did have nice pants and a shirt. Reyes said to come back the next day.

When Adeleke showed up, she took him to a judge in New York and a judge in New Jersey and advocated on his behalf.

“She told the judge that I had made mistakes, but that I was trying to join the military,” says Adeleke. “Tiana asked him if he could give me a chance and expunge my record so I could enlist.” Both judges unanimously said yes.

“They said what I was doing was an act of patriotism and if that Tiana could vouch for me, then they would say okay,” he recalls.

After years of making regrettable decisions, Remi enlisted in the Navy in 2002, serving as a corpsman with 1st Marine Division and later joined the Navy SEALs where he specialized in combat medicine and HUMINT (Human Intelligence/tradecraft). Ending his successful naval career in 2016, he was led to pursue opportunities in film/tv consulting, directing writing, and acting, including the 2017 franchise film Transformers: The Last Knight, SEAL Team CBS, the Universal thriller directed by Michael Bay, Ambulance, and the Lionsgate blockbuster The Plane. Remi can also be seen in a recurring role on Amazon’s TV adaptation of the New York Times Best Seller Terminal List. As a consultant Remi worked on Netflix’s 6 Underground, Apple+ TV series Invasion. Remi is the host and Co-EP of the Down Range narrative Podcast, which will be distributed via Tenderfoot TV/iHeart Media in January 2023.

Additionally, Remi is one of the hosts of the UK hit series, Who Dares Wins and it’s U.S. derivative Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. As a filmmaker, Remi wrote and directed The Unexpected, which is a 32-minute short film that uncovers an international organ harvesting ring. In addition to the short he has written and will be directing the feature length version of the short, titled, Unexpected Redemption. As a screenwriter Remi co-penned the adapted teleplay for Slave Stealers, which highlights abolitionist, Harriet Jacobs.

He also wrote The Chameleon screenplay and finally The Last Shall Be First screenplay, which tells the untold true story of the first group of African Americans to serve in U.S. Special Forces and the integral but forgotten role they played in the retaking of South Korea from Communist forces. Mr. Adeleke holds a bachelors in organizational leadership and an masters in Organizational Strategy, both from the University of Charleston West Virginia. As an educator he co-founded Muskegon Michigan’s OPS academy that opens to inner city students K-8th in Fall of 2022.

Remi’s incredible story can be found in his HarperCollins bestselling autobiography, Transformed: A Navy SEALs Unlikely Journey From The Throne Of Africa, To The Streets Of The Bronx, To Defying All Odds.

However, going through the list, it was discovered that there was no Igbo person, a development that had generated reactions across political party lines in Igbo land.
Then say this:
Ohanaeze is not in a hurry to recognise Tinubu as the President-elect because any house built on a faulty foundation is bound to collapse.

“We believe that the process of the 2023 presidential election is still on.

“The voting has been done and the court has taken over and until the outcome of the court process is known, we cannot take a stand on the 2023 election.”
Why do they want to be part of the inauguration committee of a president they are yet to recognise as president?

I think these people are inherently bipolar and they suffer from PTSD.

Then again, I don’t blame them - I blame people that allowed their victim mentality without checking them - thus making them very entitled.

I know you love posting questionable/disjointed Yoruba pseudo-history (based on what I’ve seen since I’ve been here recently) and I’m a tad iffy if Yoruba or not. Then again, most Yoruba people don’t know Yoruba history.

However, not everything in Lagos is Awori. Obanikoro family are Yorubanised Benin people just as the Oshodis are Yorubanised Nupes. And there are a few families from Lagos like that. I’m sure there many Yoruba families in Oyo, Abeokuta and Lagos that were Hausa and Fulani slaves cum warriors who’re Yoruba today.

Heck, there are Itsekiri people in Lagos who still speak the Itsekiri dialect albeit mixed with Awori dialect that people call ‘Aworis’ today. Granted they consider themselves as Yoruba unlike Itsekiris in Delta, who are about 80-90% Yorubas, who have a new identity. However, it doesn’t negate the fact that they were there in Delta state when the Yoruba speakers there created the Itsekiri identity - before they migrated to Lagos to form another community.

Even a quick Google Scholar search would tell you that the Obanikoro family are from Benin (the screenshot below shows excerpts from a book about the history of Aworis).

This paragraph is laughable, especially coming from supposed Yoruba people - when Nigeria has never had a Yoruba senate president. I guess Yorubas have never been recognised as part of the supposed ‘tripod’ and Nigeria has been pushing its luck too far since it was created.

Some weak, sanctimonious Yoruba people are the biggest problem of Yoruba people. I don’t know why these numbnuts tend to get swayed easily by cheap emotional blackmail by Igbos all the time.

It doesn’t even make sense to have an Igbo senate president since the man was rejected and ridiculed by Igbos overtly and covertly. And he’s still going through it with them due to hate. So, why give such a powerful position to someone from the same group with questionable loyalty?

Tinubu would be a suicidal idiot to support an Igbo senate president.

Nigerians worry about the dumbest things based on imagery and not things that actually matter in the scheme of things.

Skyscrapers aren’t “modern’ and they’re mostly for cities that don’t have enough land. Most of the skyscrapers in Chicago and New York City were built in the late 19th century and early 20th century. There are tons of videos of New York City and Chicago in 1910 and the skyline of those cities look almost exactly as it’s today. Most European cities don’t have skyscrapers and they’re more beautiful than these skyscraper cities.

Most of you ought to be more worried about quality education, social amenities, basic infrastructure, job creation, quality of life, etc., than lousy skyline with skyscrapers when the average person can’t afford basic things.

Even Chicago with all its skyscrapers, as the first city with skyscrapers, is one of the worst cities in the world once you leave downtown Chicago. There’s no city with drug addicts, gun toting kids and extreme poverty in the Western Hemisphere like Chicago.

Nigerians are too obsessed with US but most lack the requisite knowledge/education to understand that the US isn’t a country you can emulate in building a nation. It’s a very flawed country that only thrives due to the power of the dollar - not its institutions.

Yes but initially land from Africa was considered to be carved out for Israel, to settle in, before they decided on the land in Palestine.

If they had gotten Africa maybe they would be controlling Africa by now.
If they can’t co-exist with Arabs on the stolen land - let them return to Europe where they’re from.

Stop thumping the Bible - Jewish people are Europeans. If the Brits had succeeded in stealing African lands for them, they would’ve institutionalised apartheid all over the continent.

And stop posting nonsense.

Omo. Thank God they lost grin
They would’ve started a civil war, lol.

A glimpse of what they would likely do happened under GEJ. This one would’ve been on steroids.

Obi is 10x worse than Ironsi and Zik combined. And we all know know what happened with those two.
