Greetings all. I've been a chain follower of this thread, though I've always visited as a guest. Uniben indeed has a myriad of great intellectuals. I've read amazing write-ups here, at a time this was more like a learning zone for me.

I want to give kudos to all who have made this thread lively. Most especially to one guy who's moniker really intrigued me, maybe because I'm also a Geology student. His name is Geofavour. I think you'll make a "gneiss" geologist. Here is my epistle(short but worth the while)* please read

After writing Jamb twice( I am not jamb customer nah.. duh!!! ), I put Petroleum engineering in both times.. My first year of trial was futile, my classmates all gained admission that year, excluding me and a few.

Nevertheless, I was discouraged but had to try again. And the second time(this year) surely didnt pass me by. Jamb started posting rubbish and then I wasnt posted, I didnt complain to human being but I prayed to God.
Dibu was sacked and Adamu kept quiet.
Uniben came again with their wahala ( shu invitation ni . are we attending wedding ceremony?).

First batch passed, I was not invited, then I knew that only praying and fasting (I did three days 6 to 6) would work, because to me I felt My score was ok to get me screened. They started second batch saga and as God will have it: I was the first person to check and tell others the goodnews.
I dont know how many people remember that post on Fb by Mykel Peters- Yes that was me.
After the screening, rumours started propagating here and there. I was actually a Culprit in that area and it got me banned from Uniben group( Facebook).. I was devastated but I said "who group epp, mtcheeww. Na admission nah gbam pass. Let dem chop their group.
Then finally
I was admitted, to study my weakest Subject. This is a blessing in disguise because now I wont stop trying until I get my course of choice. The big difference here is that I will be in school already and that alone is something.


My point: If you checked and its still " submitted' , dont give up hope, pray about it and dont relent untill you get what you want.. If it turns out to re-writing Jamb: whats the big deal. Many wrote 5 times ( but Godforbid its not your portion).
EVEN WHEN YOU FACE DIFFICULTIES DONT GIVE UP. ALWAYS STAND UP AND LOOK TO THE BRIGHTER PART OF LIFE.. AS FAR AS THERE IS LIFE THERE IS HOPE.
CONGRATS TO THOSE ADMITTED AND BEST OF LUCKS TO THE YET TO BE ADMITTED.
But lemme noh lie. I dont like Maths....

For those weeping cuz they didn't get their desired course, well...I didn't come to motivate you with sweet talk, I know that feeling too...you have every right to be sad, true. But if you look at things from a different perspective: some folks weren't even admitted at all...no one knows the criteria used to compile this list...
So you see, you really can't complain, cuz overall you're still blessed to be a STUDENT!
