Lol..ask around they have offices around states,find the closest to you..6 months is such a long time to be waiting for them..

You cannot just “walk” into their office.

If your case is outside the processing time, you may want to call USCIS and speak with a live person.

When the call connects, mention "infopass". It should transfer the call to an agent and you can ask your questions.

Good morning gurus in the house. I paid for my green card in December 2024 before relocating to the US. The status of my green card hasn’t changed from “Payment received….”.

I have been in the US since January and there’s no news/update on the status of my green card. Few months ago, whenever I submit an inquiry, they will say it’s “within the processing time” so I cannot submit an inquiry.

But for 2 weeks now, I have been unable to submit an inquiry…it will just show this message “The form submitted for this case is not available for this tool. For more information, call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TDD for the hearing impaired).”

Does anyone have any information on how I can go about this? Whenever I chat with them, they refer me to the website and it is very frustrating.

I sincerely doubt USCIS will mail to a PO BOX.
Did you receive your SSN through the PO Box as well

Try contact center link agai and follow the advice thern and create an account. You can then track with updates on where they are on sending your card.

There was an option to use P.O Box address. I already received my SSN about 2 weeks after arrival. The SSN was sent to my address not P.O Box.

Did you have a different address from the time you paid for the fees and now? Does your address get important mails

The link is not helpful. My address hasn’t changed, I used a PO Box because I wanted to make sure that there’s no mistake in delivery. It’s been over 90 days since I got here. I heard it’s within 90-120 days.

Did you get married and have a baby after you submitted docs on the ceac site.

I do not believe you can add derivatives after you're DQd , I honestly doubt it. You can file for them once you get your green card though.
I hope you're not F1 category...

I am F4. The email that was sent to me cannot be replied. They just asked that I follow a link and the link wasn’t helpful.

I have contacted the embassy, was asked to send an email to one address and it was not helpful.

I called usvisapt, was told they don’t have the data of immigrant visas on their platform yet.

Hello Gurus in the house. I am an F4 applicant, I received an email (appointment letter) from NVC and my appointment date is stated in the letter. Please I have a few URGENT questions.


1. Do I have to register on https://www.usvisaappt.com/ or should I attend the interview with just the letter since the date and time is stated on the letter?

2. I registered on https://www.usvisaappt.com/ (as per instructions on the prep website) but I get an error message whenever I input my case ID. My case ID starts with LGS *****. Am I wrong? is there a different case ID? I also tried the Case Master ID, same error. (Picture attached).

3. What is the correct process/steps of confirming interview on https://www.usvisaappt.com?


PLEASE NOTE: I just signed up on https://www.usvisaappt.com today. Do I have to wait for a few days before confirming my interview date?

There's a difference between being able to pass an English exam and knowing how to construct a grammatically correct sentence.

A science student does not have any opportunity or incentive to learn English language in the university except for personal development.

Just be grateful that you had the opportunity to learn it growing, i know you probably speak it at home with your parents and siblings. Some people were taught in primary school with their native tongues.

Just in case you don't know. What determines your proficiency in English is your formative years. You can just improve later, if you didn't attend a good pry and sec School, you are done for. It doesn't matter the university you attend except you decide to learn it on your own. My point is, it has nothing to do with your level of advanced education.

Why is English language required to gain admission into the university?

You sure say na masters you go do so? You write like a primary school pupil.

If you read correctly, I raised 2 issues; steering and brake application. What if a car stops abruptly in front of you?
What if you are on the fast lane? Do you want to remain there until the car comes to a halt on its on? The opinion raised by the OP are not realistic.

What would have made sense is; if you have to steer, do so gently and if you need to apply breaks, do so gently. I have been in a vehicle where a full tyre pulled off on high speed. Luckily I was in front of the vehicle and immediately held the steering wheel when the driver freaked out and started steering violently.

Sometimes when your tyre bursts and you’re on high speed, the first instinct in your mind will be to panic and apply brake. But this can be really dangerous.

So train your mind to be calm in such a situation and try the following steps;


1. Don’t panic

2. Don’t apply brake; you’ll tumble

3. Switch your hazard lights on

4. Release the accelerator gradually

5. Keep car going straight; don’t steer

6. Let car gradually stop; don’t match brake!
