They just need to know if you sit for the Jamb exam and you were given admission through Jamb!

because, Jamb controls admission into Tertiary institutions in Nigeria!

How about people who were admitted into school through REMEDIAL and later mades ways to have a JAMB REG. NUMBER?

It's like this.

Schools upload to NYSC website using the portal login available to them through their individual ICT unit.

The date uploaded by schools to NYSC website is then vetted, arranged, organised, sorted and then uploaded to the website. Which then leads to what we see!

When schools upload, they upload to the backend. When NYSC upload, they upload to the frontend.

So you're saying however it is, they both upload to the same site right?

The idea of paying the 3k is actually to favour those travelling from long distance to their school to collect the CUL.

So, If you feel it's waste of money, don't pay.
But if not, please do!

Even though I may be within the city of my Institution, getting to camp on time is of utermost priority to me

crobboy: I don't think there will be much ish with that! it simply means maybe your dpt has been accredited under a different name which may not mean anything. e.g for my dpt in OAU(agric Econs),on the NYSC portal,there is no agric Econs separately but there is agriculture...(this means that there was a collage of all the dpts under agriculture in my school on NYSC portal). I hope you understand that? But, I will aside that you should go to your school's DSA and confirm under which name your dpt is placed. It is well....

From inception, there were factors that suggested that considering our current national economic cashflow.
However, what I'm confident about and know with such degree of certainty is the laid structures and existing systems (Which NYSC is inclusive), will continue to make progress with little or no interruption.

It depends on the situation that'll result in that.
First and foremost, have you completed all your required clearance (from Unit to Department, faculty, ... until bursary as you Institution specifies)?
Secondly, have you verified from your Departmental Academic adviser and DSA if you school's senate have approved your result?
Thirdly, have your school send qualified student to NYSC portal (better put, uploaded the schools result on the designated NYSC site)?

If all these are 'a yes' for you and you still can't find your name on the NYSC senate's list on their site, then go to your DSA on monday or make inquiries from your predecessors.
