PoliticsRe: Tax Evasion: FIRS To Go After 325,000 Companies, Persons by Crocz(m): 12:08pm On Aug 30, 2015
omojoshy:
How do you pay tax on negative returns. How can a company be profitable when you spend over 3Billion naira on power or diesel, check with Guinness how much money it spend annually on power, ask Dunlop why the government loose its revenue and Nigerians lost their jobs and the federal government lost its tax base.

Instead of looking for ghost companies for revenue think about how to help these companies to improve there production and increase the tax base.

Try to get your goods out of the ports in Nigeria and see how the customs, the shipping company, the clearing agent and the terminal all ready to frustrate your effort in creating jobs for Nigeria. See how bad the roads leading to the ports are and the roads are blocked by trailers.

If you want to improve tax base, improve unemployment, I'll say 90% of Nigerians are either unemployed or under employed, reduce imports.

God bless Nigeria.
I'm inclined to agree with the port issue...but on companies not paying tax cos of negative return isn't good enough an excuse, the government shouldn't be sharing in the failures of management of a company and I strongly believe that the cost of power in most companies is grossly exaggerated. If we continue to see companies in Nigeria as doing government favour by providing employment then we'll be missing a vital fact that most of this companies get bumper returns as profit for their troubles, so it's a two ways thing.

No company can operate at a break even for years let alone on a negative return.

I am a Yoruba and a core pro PMB supporter.
I also don't give a damn about who PMB appoints to office. In fact, as far as I am concerned, PMB can appoint mallams in sabo markets into his cabinet on the condition that the level of good governance to date is maintained.
BUT I will not subscribe to a post that "labels" an entire region as "goats"
There are people from that region that are strong supporter of this administration. They are not blinded by bigotry and are not demanding they be appointed.
There are political goats in every region. The message could have been passed without sounding like that region is the only place that goats reside.

Some people are just quite very funny...cos you see the head of the pidgin to be white doesn't mean the entire body will be white. My point is, the man just made about 20% of the appointments...more are yet to come and you are already comatosing? The beginning of Jona's failure was the appointment of untrustworthy people into his close quarters, he said it himself that there were a lot of things going on he was never aware of cos they kept it from him. And to find such people, you need to have known them personally or someone you trust vouch for them. So chillace and reserve your wailing strength!

PoliticsRe: NERC Expresses Gratitude To Jonathan Government For Steady Power by Crocz(m):
Nobody is saying there was no good at all in Jona's government..just like in a football game, you got smacked 5goals and then you managed to score a consolation goal, it doesn't erase the fact that you've failed...I do understand the pain of wailers from south south who haven't yet got over the loss of their "son" in the election, and I also understand the endless pain of "biafrans" who by design and circumstance always seem to self impose pain on themselves.

But one thing I'm 1000% sure of, and I can bet my two balls (which about now is the most precious stones I've got) that Buhari will succeed and eclipse the painful memories of Jona's failure

I already know Mercy Aigbe would be number1 without him posting it.
I guess the top 5 should be
_Mercy Aigbe
_Fathia Balogun
_Doris Simeon
_Iyabo Ojo (and)
_Dayo Amusa

If it's not them, he should edit his list.

Extras:- Wura Gold and Funke Akindele.
You just work it out for the op...Mercy Aigbe tops the list really...I would have chosen Doris Simeon over her if it were like 3yrs ago grin

That's how one pretty voice lady called me allegedly from Sterling Bank asking for my BVN number so she can link to my account...and I foolishly gave her the number. But I wasn't bordered cos the account is dormant anyway.

Some few minutes later, she called to remind me of my account dormancy(like I don't fu'cking know b4)...then she pleaded I should make "real" transactions in the account grin

Probably the left over amount in the account wouldn't do for her, she wants better...she's prolly waiting for the day I'll make a deposit into it, who uses Sterling Bank these days again anyway?...na dia she go old, I don't use the bank any often than I use tissue to wipe ma a'ss
