I woke up around 1.48am and I couldn't sleep again.

So, I decided to quickly check my Facebook wall to
see what is going on in the Mark Suckabag world.

Lo and behold, I came across this interesting writeup
about lobsters from my friend, Ronald Nzimora

I once read a fascinating story about lobsters.

You know what lobsters are right?

Those giant crayfish-like looking sea "animals" people
like to eat.

How does anyone eat seafood? They give me an allergic
reaction!

Anyway, so here's the story:

When waves roll and crash against the rocks, they will
carry with it tens of these lobsters and when the waves
roll back, the lobsters are left behind.

A lobster when left high and dry among the rocks, does
not have the instinct and energy enough to work its way
back to the sea, so it waits for the sea to come to it
and take it back.

Sometimes though the sea never comes back to roll over
those rocks on which the lobsters are.

If the sea does not come, the lobster within a yard
of the waves, remains where it is and dies.

Why would it do this? Why would it choose to die
although it could have prevented it's own death if
only it would make the slightest effort to reach
the waves, that are just beyond those rocks?

Turns out this is a valuable lesson for you and
I because, guess what?

The world is full of human lobsters.

People who sit and wait for permission top start
living their best life. People who are waiting for
the perfect time, the perfect conditions, the perfect
tools, the perfect amount of money, before they get
off their hiney and do something to change their
station in life.

Men and women stranded on the rocks of indecision,
self-doubt and procrastination, who, instead of
putting forth their own energies, are waiting for
some grand wind of good fortune to to blow them
into the sea and set them afloat.

They are the people who are waiting to "hammer",
waiting to be handed things, waiting for things
to be done for them. So they wait and wait and
wait, like Godot, forever, when they could simply
have reached out and taken everything they could
ever want.

I don't want this to be you.

Please don't be a human lobster.

Succeeding in business is no easy feat. It’s too easy to let business knock you down. Instead of throwing in the towel when there is a business problem, pick yourself back up, buckle down, and get to work. These motivational stories prove that with a little hard work, any amount of business success is possible.

1. Colonel Sanders | Kentucky Fried Chicken

Once, there was an older man, who was broke, living in a tiny house and owned a beat up car. He was living off of $99 social security checks. At 65 years of age, he decide things had to change. So he thought about what he had to offer. His friends raved about his chicken recipe. He decided that this was his best shot at making a change.

He left Kentucky and traveled to different states to try to sell his recipe. He told restaurant owners that he had a mouthwatering chicken recipe. He offered the recipe to them for free, just asking for a small percentage on the items sold. Sounds like a good deal, right?

Unfortunately, not to most of the restaurants. He heard NO over 1000 times. Even after all of those rejections, he didn’t give up. He believed his chicken recipe was something special. He got rejected 1009 times before he heard his first yes.

With that one success Colonel Hartland Sanders changed the way Americans eat chicken. Kentucky Fried Chicken, popularly known as KFC, was born.

Remember, never give up and always believe in yourself in spite of rejection.

2. The Obstacle in our Path

There once was a very wealthy and curious king. This king had a huge boulder placed in the middle of a road. Then he hid nearby to see if anyone would try to remove the gigantic rock from the road.

The first people to pass by were some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers. Rather than moving it, they simply walked around it. A few loudly blamed the King for not maintaining the roads. Not one of them tried to move the boulder.

Finally, a peasant came along. His arms were full of vegetables. When he got near the boulder, rather than simply walking around it as the others had, the peasant put down his load and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. It took a lot of effort but he finally succeeded.



The peasant gathered up his load and was ready to go on his way when he say a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The peasant opened the purse. The purse was stuffed full of gold coins and a note from the king. The king’s note said the purse’s gold was a reward for moving the boulder from the road.

The king showed the peasant what many of us never understand: every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

3. Value

A popular speaker started off a seminar by holding up a $20 bill. A crowd of 200 had gathered to hear him speak. He asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”

200 hands went up.

He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.” He crumpled the bill up.

He then asked, “Who still wants it?”

All 200 hands were still raised.

“Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” Then he dropped the bill on the ground and stomped on it with his shoes.

He picked it up, and showed it to the crowd. The bill was all crumpled and dirty.

“Now who still wants it?”

All the hands still went up.

“My friends, I have just showed you a very important lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, life crumples us and grinds us into the dirt. We make bad decisions or deal with poor circumstances. We feel worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special – Don’t ever forget it!

4. A Very Special Bank Account

Imagine you had a bank account that deposited $86,400 each morning. The account carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every dollar each day!

We all have such a bank. Its name is Time. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever time you have failed to use wisely. It carries over no balance from day to day. It allows no overdraft so you can’t borrow against yourself or use more time than you have. Each day, the account starts fresh. Each night, it destroys an unused time. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, it’s your loss and you can’t appeal to get it back.

There is never any borrowing time. You can’t take a loan out on your time or against someone else’s. The time you have is the time you have and that is that. Time management is yours to decide how you spend the time, just as with money you decide how you spend the money. It is never the case of us not having enough time to do things, but the case of whether we want to do them and where they fall in our priorities.

I tried my best to convince this beautiful girl # Carol on
Facebook to visit me but she always said she is too
busy. Her profile pictures were too tempting and enticing
and everything she posted on social media really turned
me on in a way I had never felt before.

I decided to take it to another level..... So at last I managed to get her
phone number. We could talk in for hours and shortly I
found out her hostel were right adjacent to my house.
This was once in a life time opportunity that I really had
to utilize. One thing led to the other till when she finally
put up a date to visit me.

It was to be the following Thursday. This was the longest Thursday I ever waited
for in my life. Thursday came and I called her at around
6:30 am in the morning to get her approval of whether
she would visit me to which she assured me. With that
assurance, I started putting everything in order. I was a
little bit nervous but as well filled with a lot of
excitement.

Everything was ready now. At around 3pm,
she knocked at my door, and I opened to my surprise
she was dressed very seductively in a tight body hugging
silver dress with dazzling red lipstick and a matching red
bra, boobs peeping from the edges. I was more than
happy after I saw how she looks and my mjulubeng
was.......

My dear brothers and sisters, see how you are serious
reading this post while chuckling on your faces. I wish
you could learn how to read your bible like this, with
such great attention and curiosity. Don't be ashamed in
learning to invest your energy in Christ.

You pay less attention to Christians posts and love commenting on
sexual related posts. Christ is doing alot in our lives,
imagine you are holding your phone right now, not in
hospital, not in the grave, not in jail. I know the truth is
bitter but just accept it.

If You Died Today Where Would You Spend Eternity !!!

Did you know that church membership, being a good person, water baptism, giving money to those less fortunate than you, working for charities or having all the money and things in the world will NOT get you into HEAVEN.

The bible says in Titus 3:5
“Not by works of righteousness which we have, but according to his mercy he saved us...”
Ephesians 2:8-9 says
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
The gift the bible speaks of is found in St. John 3:16
“For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

To Be Saved You Must Do Four Things:

1. CONFESS THAT YOU ARE A SINNER. Romans 3:23 says “For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD”

2. KNOW THE RESULT OF SIN. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

3. BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED AND PAID THE WAGES OF SIN IN YOUR PLACE. Romans 5:8 say “But GOD commended His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”

4. BELIVE GOD’S WORD FOR HE CANNOT LIE. Romans 10:9-13 says “That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believed unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED”

There are lots of different ways to make money from photography these days, however it is harder than ever to make a living off of photography. More and more people are getting involved and taking great photos and that means that the market is more diluted than ever. With that being said, it isn’t impossible to be successful.

Before I begin, I want to offer you my #1 tip for making money with photography. Learn to market via social media. Read some books, take some online courses, or learn from Youtube. These days, so many people take good photos, and the age of just taking good photos and getting attention is past. That is why I recommend learning social media, as for me personally this is where all of my business comes from.

Every photographer uses social media, but if you utilise it effectively then you can get ahead of the competition and you will get more money in the long run because of it. Even if you need to invest in social media advertising, it is well worth it.

Learning marketing doesn’t have to be costly. Just buy a few books (I like audio books), watch some videos or if you can spend a bit more then take some online courses. Trust me, this will put you one step ahead of many, many other photographers.

Okay, so with that out of the way let’s get started. These are the most common ways to make money from photography, along with some of the best paying.

1. Become a professional niche photographer. This is probably the hardest but best paying, and this includes wedding photographers, paparazzi, family or portrait photographers, etc. These people get paid a lot, however there is also a high barrier of entry. Usually thousands and thousands of dollars of gear is required, and experience and connections also help a lot. There are people far more suited to talk about this so I will leave it at that.

2. Stock photography. This is another method that is very popular amongst many photographers as it can result in a passive income if people like your photos. Stock photography essentially means that you are selling the image to others for person (and sometimes commercial) use. They have the rights to use your photo and you receive a one-off payment. There are many sites for this such as Adobe Stock, Shutter Stock, and hundreds more.

3. Become an ‘influencer’. I hate this word, but I don’t know what else to call this. This method isn’t about directly making money from your photos, but it is about making money based on the social following you have gained because of them. Companies are on the lookout for influencers that they can use to advertise their goods and services, and if you have a large following then you will definitely receive some of these offers. Whether you make a decent amount of money varies a lot based on your followers, theme, and luck, but it is a nice way to make a little money on the side.

4. Sell your photos to local businesses. This one requires some footwork, but it is a great method and will get you known more locally. Basically this involves printing off some of your better photos and going around to cafes, bars, restaurants, etc, and offering your photography for use as decorations. The price of these prints will depend on a lot of factors, but this method is great for getting you recognised locally.

This is one of my favourite photos to sell (or attempt to anyway) to local places. Since it is representative of the city and it has a famous landmark it is perfect for cafe walls.

* Do freelance work. Freelancing is amazing because it allows you to maintain your own schedule and to be your own boss, but it also allows you to make decent money while doing so. You can contact local news agencies and magazines and ask them if they would be interested in hiring you as a freelancer to cover an event coming up. After a while you will build up your connections and work will become easier and easier to get.

* Start your own business! This one takes some thinking, time, and a great idea, but is often the most rewarding. Depending on what type of work interests you most you can try and create a niche business around this specific line of work. This allows you to keep doing what you love while making money at the same time. This is what I personally do - I turned my photography into a blog which I then turned into many other things. The main thing to keep in mind is to continue taking photos that you love. If you are always taking the style of photo that you like, eventually people will come to you asking for a photograph taken in your style. If you learn about social media marketing this will be an even better path!
