But those who want to mock Lagos should have a rethink... because your own land is probably not any better in terms of physical infrastructure and investments.

This is one of the reasons why the coastal highway is a waste of scarce resources.

The investment should have been in developing the existing seaports to make them more attractive and commercially viable.

This would help reduce the pressure on Lagos ports, reduce the population of people, reduce businesses located in lagos strictly because of the port business and spread wealth as other cities would be able to develop better.

Exactly, no way Lagos will not always be in bottom 10. If you keenly look at countries that are in the same category with Nigeria, they're war torn zones. Kiev, Sudan, Syria.... As long the government refuse to prioritize development across the country, Lagos would always be in that category.

Here are few steps I deem would help for people having issues with talview browser link:

1.Ensure you download the link using updated Google chrome or Firefox browser
2.after downloading the link, install it, go back to the mail and copy the practise test link and paste on the updated chrome or Firefox browser as a prompt would come out showing the talview browser for you to open
3.Ensure your window is activated and it is at least window 10.

Thank you for this update. However, people who do not have window 10 may not be able to download talview. My advice based on my own experience, make sure you have Google chrome on your PC. copy the link and paste on your browser.

Just copy the link and paste it on your browser. Copy it like this dragnet........ And it would work. You don't need to install anything. Use Google chrome.

My advice, don't go and be wasting your time on the practice of a thing. They used to demonstrate how the whole process would be, and not how the questions would be.

I have a question for you, have you tried to open the link for the real test. Is like the link is not functioning ooo. Help me to confirm. I want to be sure I am not the only one experiencing this.

Modified: I used my cell phone to test the link and it worked. So, may be it is my browser that is not working properly.

Yes I did. A friend of mine who also chose the option of in person didn't get a mail. I was wondering if its only those who chose the virtual option that was reached out to.

Probably it was oversight from them. I would advise you send them email. They should quickly resolve the matter for you before tomorrow

Sometime in February, I was replying some important whatsapp messages when I suddenly found myself added to a new whatsapp group by a random dude who has my number.

This guy added me to a group that was created for the purpose of monitory contributions for the marriage ceremony of a mutual acquaintance.

The group admin ever since has posted messages at intervals asking members of the group to contribute money for his friend's wedding.

I know the guy who is about to wed quite alright but we are not friends and I'm not sure we have even had a phone conversation together. We just see once in a while and say hello.

The guy getting married didn't even extend any wedding invite to me in person. And while I won't rule out the idea of gifting him for his wedding, I believe adding me to a group and asking me for money is absurd and annoying.

Who else has encountered this kind of situation and how did you handle it.

Exactly my experience. The only difference is that, I knew this guy during our NYSC days but we aren't friends as such. He never told me he was getting married but I saw it on his status. Suddenly, I was added to a group by a number I didn't have on my list, and daily message started rolling in for contribution.

Let him bear the brunt. He was the one who facilitated the loan he's currently complaining about. Elrufai booted Shehu Sani out to pave way for his crony Uba Sani who eventually pushed for the World Bank loan. The loan performance by Elrufai was quite remarkable as it's evident across the state. However his albatross was that the loan is fully dollarised. By the time the Naira was floated, it tripled in value. Mind you, the loan was dispensed at the then official rate of the CBN circa 400 Naira. And now the Naira is close to 1300. There lies the big problem.

Elrufai himself inherited about $200m from his predecessors. He couldn't pull big projects because of the paucity of funds. I believe that's what pushed him to get loans. In hindsight, I feel he should have got domestic loans may be worth 200b Naira.
Lest I forget, Elrufai raised the IGR of the state from 15b to 90b in 8 years.
In essence, Elrufai did fairly well in his steering of the state. Uba Sani so far has been woeful. His government is more about propaganda that real governance. It is said that he mostly stays at Abuja. Ask any KD resident, even traffic lights are not working. Potholes are emerging without being remedied. Let Uba restrategise and do the right things. If he feels like, he can prove the Elrufai administration. What matters to the residents is continuity of the good projects kickstarted by Elrufai.

There is piece was written by a Northerner and published on their media platform (daily trust). Elrufai took loan of $350m with condition to spend 78% of it on recurrent expenditures, and 22% on capital expenditures. Who takes IMF's loan under this mischievous condition? To me, the loan was not a good one.

If at all verification is going to be needed, it should be done by yourself using the verification company. You're not supposed to send money to them for verification. The third party company would verify and send it to them.

first of all, these farmers don’t have the necessary heavy machinery equipment that can remove sand/stones from their rice and the government don’t want to help them to improve so you won’t blame them

That’s why Foreign rice will always be better than our local rice, but that doesn’t mean our local rice isn’t good. If you have time to remove the stones/sand then you can enjoy it.

Some selected individuals usually have machine in the market. Due to cost of fuel, the price may be a little bit higher than before. When I was Taraba back then in 2018, whenever we buy local rice, we would take it to the machine for stone removal. And it was cheap then.
