The Avengers film will feature about 60 of Marvel's most prominent characters. I don't think DCEU is ready to challenge that yet.

Marvel might lose steam after the avengers though (I learnt they are planning to kill off some important characters), but all in all Avengers has a greater fan base.

If marvel like let them add more and even borrow characters from DC but if their storyline is gonna be as crappy as Age of Ultron then......I reserve my comment for now.

Rumour has it that the Steve Trevor of World War 1 will be the grandfather to the Steve Trevor in the current time line. Therefore, there will be two time lines with an older Steve and a grandchild Steve. Amazing huh!

I think you should read the origin story of Steve Trevor and Diana, then you'll understand better. It is most likely that these world war I scenes would be flashbacks linking the past and future.

I know their history very well. A pilot's plane crashed in the middle of an invisible island and diana was the person charged to nurse him back to health and take him back to the U.S.

The first World War occurred between 1914 and 1918. So, I guess the movie will be around this period.
