Sadly, I don't share your sentiments because this is a different ball game from the test where we had almost the same set of questions. In this case there are different panels for the different positions applied for and you wouldn't expect them to ask a chemist GT the same questions they will ask a HR or Economics GT . At the end of the day it's like i'ld say, "may the odds be in our favor" that's pretty much it
Lmao. Well said bro.

Maybe the last one, was affidavit or age declaration accepted in lieu of birth certificate?
I will advise you go with your birth certificate, in my center, they made notes against people's names who didn't have birth certificates and also those whose documents were incomplete.

Guy, it would be stupidity to tell anybody a direct question but I think there's nothing wrong with pointing someone to a direction or two. Trust me I almost lost my hope in this DPR job when I saw the rate people were pasting live aptitude test questions on here after the first 3 days of the test and I happen to write mine on the first day but by grace, I was called. If it is ur time, it is!!

You lie! I feel sorry for you if you are just making shit like this up to bring others down. It says alot about who you are. A miserable person. Shakur is the DD corporate services and decision maker of this recruitment process. Surprisingly he has been way too strict with enabling stakeholders list. Go and ask anyone in DPR the staff kids that made it to interview stage is only about 10% because shakur explicitly made it clear that any staff kid that did not do well in exam won't be called and he did exactly that. Stop this BS of people getting invites ahead of the inital release date. They added stakeholder list with merit and invites were released same day. Nobody got 2weeks headstart like you claim. Which is why those also writing 2nd week are not getting their dates and venue yet until it is a week before. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying so hard to delivery bad news. If you got your invite, pls go and get busy. Face your life if you have nothing encouraging to dish out.
I don't know you o, but your name really fits you!!! You're hawt hot howt!!! Hahahaha... Nice one.

tolesky. my dear, they don't like hearing the truth. see some of them comparing those hungry parastatals to DPR and nnpc. I am already getting private mails from people telling me that it is true. do you think people that know someone will come out and talk. everybody is keeping quiet. I have nothing to loose than to show the rot of the stupid system. I cannot wait for the final list to come out. I am eager. in fact I don't want to be a hypocrite. the reason why I am talking is because my friend could not put in good word for me to her uncle minister. if to say my name enter list I go lock up they laugh una.
Your previous post stated your name was on the said minister's list, you're talking from two sides of your mouth. To be honest, people who are connected really don't talk this much... And don't get what I wrote earlier twisted, I know that corner corner list dey but believe it or not, 70% will get the job on merit. I'm not doing guess work, it is what it is.

I won't write on this furthermore in order to avoid people speculating but do your best and leave the rest. I wish you and everyone else here the best though.

Cheers.

I am even laughing harder than you. My dear, stop deceiving yourself and few others who do not know your type. The fact is that we have seen a good number of your type who come here to make bogus claims. Of course, they do bow out in shame when their lies are revealed.

Those who are really connected do not come here to brag about it.

I dare you to show us the list as an evidence.

This is how some no-joy guys who were not shortlisted for aptitude test fabricated a list supposedly from the chief whip and when their lies could not sell, they bowed out in shame.

Certainly, there are those who depend on man for this job but they hardly come here to implicate themselves.
My dear, I wasn't going to respond to her again. During NDDC scholarship wahala in 2014, I encountered a lot of her type, one even use english that bust my head, said his person was in the "top echelon". When God favoured us, I start to find oga wey get person for "top echelon", my dear I no see. They only have mouth.

I just don't understand how people stay and assume rubbish... I'll say this is the first federal govt job I've applied for, but how the hell do people know how it's shared amongst senators and what have you. Believe you me, all that thing is RUBBISH!!!

That's how people said there was wayo in NDDC scholarship, I can authoritatively say that for the one I did, I repeat, the one I applied for and got, more than 70% got the scholarship on merit.

That said, of course, I believe there will be slots allocated to people but I don't believe it will be that overwhelming.

Lastly, I have only used my experience with NDDC to just encourage us all and make us know that we should still keep faith, a lot of us will get it on merit, and even if we don't, it's an experience, although it might be frustrating, it's an experience and life will still go on.

Cheers and goodluck to us all.

it is easier for a camel to pass through the needles eye than to get a job at DPR or nnpc

this is the list, presidential list, VP, and speaker senate and house of rep top priority.

next is minister of state of petroleum (kachukwu), then senators and house of rep members .

then other ministers, governors, and lastly major traditional rulers and off course the head of DPR.

the remaining slots are for the exceptionally brilliant ones. in all agencies they live slots for the brilliant ones. its untouchable

that is how it has always been. if your name does not fall under this people. hmmmmmn. now the issue is not your name falling under them but the fact that the slots are not always enough for them CUs there are too many people banking on them. so it is whoever is top priority for them that they help. usually they get 3 to 5 slots each with the exception of the President , VP and speakers who can get as much as 10 to 15 slots.

another problem is quota system. if you are from delta state I'm so sorry for you. kachukwu and the governor plus olu of warri has taken most of the slots. if not all. only God can help you. not to talk of the senators and house of rep members from delta. all this things count a lot. hence you see some states having more candidates. Lagos state also has a prominent king, a minister , a governor who have their own list. so if you are from Lagos its a big problem too.

that is why the common man cannot get jobs in this places.
Thanks for the encouragement... This type of encouragement isn't needed further, you shouldn't have applied knowing all these facts neither should you have been waiting for interview invitation. Allow us to try our luck with God's grace involved. Thank you!!

Will update when i know more but i know it's not going to be a long session per person because there's alot of ppl and it's just for 2weeks. Interview is by department with panelist that will enter score for the different criteria they have drawn up in their system. I can't tell what kind of question each dept will be asked so best to prepare for both current affairs and yur field based questions.

Pls i still don't know how to access personal message sent from nairaland and i get quiet alot of emails for this. I can't see then nor respond and honestly i don't have answers too but whatever i know that i can share i will do so here. I am also going for interview so we are all in same boat.

I've apologised for my response because Im really not that type of person but you pointing me out for criticism is plainly unfair.

Id fight for anybody, that's the kind of person I am, we have tried a lot of things and put in the best of our efforts but if it doesn't yield results we move on. My main issue is that the way nddc has been bashed, it's painful with respect to some of us who got it through hard sweat.

I read back to back for mine, didn't even know they had a practice material during my time, it was at the exam center I saw some dudes using it. Is the system all fair, Id be irrational to say yes but then do we criticise everyone who got it? I say everyone because some people say only 10% got it fairly that means basically everyone who's a recipient doesn't merit it just because they didn't get it. It doesn't make sense if we will be honest with ourselves.

I had a 2.2 from FUTO, studied Elect/Elect Engr, I have done numerous certificate courses in the field where I'm going to do my masters and this is not me blowing my horn but then when I see a post of 90% getting it be connection it makes me wonder why people actually think they are better than others. So does that mean if they'd got it, that the system is fair?

Check my past posts even from the past forum, I'm an agreeable person and you'd only have to meet me in person or ask people who have interacted with me.

I feel hurt some don't get it justly but then we can be matured with our approach. Last year when I went for our briefing, I asked th question why the list isn't published online and they gave an answer that we all accepted be it right or wrong, be mindful I was a recipient but I asked still.

Anyways, I've apologised and not because I feel otherwise concerning my stance but because of the words I used on people who I really know nothing about.

I'll always say like I've said before, do I think the process is entirely fair? NO! Do I think the percentage who got it fairly is way way greater than the stipulated 10%? YES! Thousands wrote it, only 210/220 will be selected, it's God's favour first and of course your input that can see you through but my getting it doesn't in anyway make me feel like I'm the smartest ass out there, I just felt thankful and grateful I got it.

Bros I'm from Ogwashi. Daalu bros. Adim very sorry.

Guy, you are an IRRE!!! Simple and short. Because you didn't finish in flying colors or you remain jobless doesn't make any of our destinies entwined with yours.

Your parents did neither of the aforementioned in your statement and you are obviously a poor learner cos if you were remotely smart or the Europe you claimed to have studied in didn't teach your manners then your life is still yet to be sorted.

What ever brought parents into this? You lack respect for your parents.

On the otherhand, talking about JJC, for the purpose of this, Id accept I've never ever traveled but considering you have done that, I'm trying to see how its bettered your life. For us wey neva travel, make we travel go see you hear!

#MeComingDownToYourLevel

CHAIRMAN1:
Quit with this childish and classless attitude of trying to rub salt in the wounds of those who weren't successful. Its either your parents didn't do a good job at bringing you up or you were a poor learner. I'd advise that you concentrate on sorting out your travel papers and facing your studies when you get there. Let me come down to your level a bit: Getting the scholarship is no guarantee you will finish your program or finish it in flying colors or even get a good job with whatever degree you finish with. Learn to be humble and watch your language on faceless fora like this.

For the records, I finished my MSc in a top 10 University in the UK over five years ago. So don't think its a JJC like you who has never been to the UK or Europe replying your comment.
EducationRe: NDDC POST-GRADUATE FOREIGN SCHOLARSHIP 2015 by csimms7: 2:22pm On Sep 14, 2015
You've responded as a human being but I don't believe the lie of 2 international scholarship and if there's any truth in it then he's as bad as the NDDC fraudsters he so hates and despises for wanting extra scholarship funding.

That said, bros the Nigerian factor of connections is still prevalent and I don't deny it, one question is, if you had someone, wouldn't you attempt to pull same strings? Does that make it right or wrong? You be the judge. If I had someone Id sure as hell inform the person.

On another hand, a lot got it on merit, do we then totally discredit everybody? Do you get my point? You don't tear a system down because it didn't favour you. If he'd got it, we wouldn't hear this rant and rave.

I asked a friend, why is it that when you ask someone for something and they accept to do it, you don't ask why but then a lot of people when they ask you for favours and you say ok, they still don't ask WHY!!!

I'm not bashing your friend but criticise constructively and not because you feel hurt.

regalregal2:
@csimms dongreat is my childhood friend n what he is saing is true. Infact he was the one who encouraged me to try the nddc scholarship but ryt nw i feel i shouldnt have wasted my time on it cos the whole process is a farce. I blieve its juz like giving credence to a medium with which politicians settle some of their cronies as of all the many people i know who applied the only 3 who got the scholarship had somebody pulling a few strings here and there. If some of the successful pips msc candidates here will be truthful, they can confirm what i am sayin. Juz sayin tho

See ehn, I hate it when people are this way and all negative. You didn't get the scholarship, lick your wounds and move on. As Nuel said, to a large extent the one of last year was fair and I was a recipient and didn't ask anyone for any favours.

Do you think it's because you scored 50/50 and you've got a 1st class that makes you better than the other person? They have different guidelines to select scholars and they don't have to disclose it to you or anyone else for that matter.

Most of us have gone for job exams and interviews and didn't get it, why didn't we rant and rave at the companies when they didn't call us to give us the job?

Are you trying to say you are better than those that got the scholarship?

With all that said, I'm not in any way taking away the factor that some might know one or two ogas at the top but the question I want to ask is if you knew one or two people at the top, wouldn't you call them and ask for same favour? If you aren't a hypocrite and you are true to yourself, you know you would.

Please congratulate those that got it and pray that you have better favour next year.

I'm a recipient and I got it last year without any oga at the top. I know up to 50 people I can vouch for that got it free and fair also.

Thanks and I wish you all the best.

Congrats to the present scholars also.

I really don't know and understand why you're being so negative and pessimistic. I said it last month that the list would be released this month. Baba chill naw.

Nuel1647:
if u give me five minutes, I can also do this.
But more importantly, we now know the venue and people can ask about its reservations tomorrow.
why is 2015 underlined in your text message, what would a text message that long even be sent.
Finally, you already have admission letter which you got using academic reference and Transcript, all you need is the damm scholarship letter to get your visa, so why are you asked to come with them, esp as some reference were submitted online and some schools sent transcripts directly to the foreign University. I went through thesame process last year.

I'm not beefing you, just giving people the courage and hope to wait till Tuesday for confirmation. so I will highlight any hole I see.

I know you people were all nice to each other n exchanged numbers during the interview, which opens up the possibility of this being a scam.
I didn't give anyone my number last year, flew in by 8 had my interview by 10, flew back by 12. So when I saw a message (even though I wasn't expecting one) I knew it was genuine.
With or without this screenshot, let's all wait n see. Tuesday is not far away.
EducationRe: NDDC POST-GRADUATE FOREIGN SCHOLARSHIP 2015 by csimms7: 1:13am On Sep 11, 2015
Baba na long story you write. They've released it. Simple and short and confirmed. I know two friends who got theirs, one on this thread and the other doesn't even know this thread exists baba.

Nuel1647:
Just seeing this now, read through every post, and still did not find any evedience, just claims and of course emotions, tensions, etc.
I hate to say this, but I don't think it's true - please this is a personal opinion. We should not even have to ask these so called invitees for any details before they give it to us. (so I'm not accepting anyone now).
Pls put your self in peoples shoes, let's assume we have all been waiting, why won't you help put people out of suspense, by giving full details from the onset?
Those that are not part of this, Forget about this scam, sleep well, do your normal activities and wake up on Tuesday, watch the news, in the evening. If there is nothing then your guess is as good as mine, If there is something, come back here to congratulate them. Congratulating people now or giving up now is simply premature.

In the mean time I suggest those that can should contact Godson.

from the first day when someone said within two weeks, then another said before Friday, with briefing on Tuesday, I started suspecting something.
who sent the SMS, where is d venue for the briefing, why on earth do you need Academic reference and Transcript for pre-depature briefing?

Let us move away from that, I don't want any details. Why would NDDC release the scholarship now, when they know that doing so will cause many scholars to pursue panic visas which can ruin their chances of eventually using the Scholarship?
If you had gotten your visa using your own money getting the scholarship letter now or in October makes no difference, so I still dont see any point, besides just a handful of scholars will have October resumption and even for this handful, a minimum balance of some amount they don't know has to have been in the bank for 28 working days.

So even if its ready now (which I seriously doubt) seeing its so late, I think what was done last years should have applied. Third week of October should be the earliest it should have been released, so that people can plan towards January with comfort.

I wish all of you Goodluck, However I also wish its not true, not because I hate my lovely scholars but because I don't want any of you to ruin your chances. However I beleive this is not true. whatever the case might be, I am not God neighter am I qualified to play God, and so it is GOD that knows best, not me.

it's been a while, however I'm not surprised about the status quo. esp since change is here.
However it's nice to know some of you from last year and some others with their own funds are already on their way.
just a few advice for them.
You can spend up to two hours before you are cleared by immigration so factor that into your arrival time, and if possible try to make it to your destination on thesame day. If your school has a pick up service (which is usually free and will be available till like 5pm local time) try to use it. to use a pick up service you will need to arrive at the designated airport and be cleared by immigration before say 5pm, you might also need to furnish your school with your travel details.
On cold weather clothing, just buy a few, at least one winter jacket, boot -(not boot for site work oh), jeans, chinox, headwarmer, gloves, etc one each because of baggage allowance on your flight.
Duvet and Bedspread and blanket, you definitely need them. If u are staying in a University's owned accommodation some might provide it for you while others will not let you in until you present these items. However as a black man or even white man living in Nigeria you definitely need them. I will recommend a duvet and a thick blanket, for certain weathers, just one of them is needed, however you will most definitely be combining both of them in winter.
Finally for those of you not flying directly as in flights with multiple stops and longer than twelve hours, plan your flight such that a day delay doesn't disrupt other activities.
Boss please your email address if you don't mind so we can talk about these stuffs. Thanks.

very much mandatory
Nah. It isn't very much mandatory as it depends on the school. My school insisted I wrote it though but then they didn't include it in my CAS as requirements to take to the embassy.

I know for Salford also that it isn't so it depends on the school really but it's good to find out from your school plus rules change all the time.
