whizkidy: whether it's a fat or slim lie, it's none of my business. Am not a scholar under nddc. Just wrote what I heard from a scholar. And considering the irregularities associated with this scholarship, anything is possible.Whiz, truth is they got it August/September for the said year. So probably the girl deferred or I don't know. Let's take it easy with how we call people names, he's only helping out and you can't and shouldn't blame him for information he heard. Thanks. |
Benny247: Good evening brothers and sisters.... The weekend is over, did anyone contact his/her source? Please update us. I wish I have one though. I wish everyone good news this new week in Jesus name. AMEN #teamoptimisticLwkmd. You like wahala o. Meanwhile heads up everyone. I didn't get the result yesterday, I was told to come today to get it. For those who wants to do theirs in Abuja. I have just one advise for them. Prepare your mind to spend the whole day there! Get there very early also. 7/7:30 am would be perfect o. |

I dey IOM for Abuja. Any nairalanders ?? I'm there now!!!! Make we flex Abuja oooo. No dulling. I'm leaving Saturday or Sunday. |
I learned the MD just resumed this week after being away for about 3 weeks and that secondly indigenes, that's youths from phc are causing trouble. Probably due to one or two promises made them not being fulfilled. As of when the MD will sanction the list to be released and candidates contacted, that one dey between the man and God. No one knows when it would come out. |
Benny247: Chissiooo......Guy ur dream get as e be ooo, abeg make the person com collect the recharge card money oooo. if that is now the issue.O boi u b learner? That recharge card money fit reach half a million oooo! Lwkmd. |
linton99: Thank God for d bright morning, new week full of expectations...testimonies will surely be ours...if u agree say a big Amen!! #teamoptimiistic,#wekeephopesaliveAMEN!!!! |
cabaye: Lol.. its complicated and its a long story. thanks for the tip.Cabaye!!!! You be correct guy. I love this answer wey you give. Mr Scientist! Mr I know everything! So you fit ask question!!!? I'm baffled. I'm not interested in knowing any news again, I've stopped asking my contact questions, when e show we go all know our fate. No need to give ourselfs hbp at out tender ages o. Lol. Happy Sunday everyone. |
scientist235: Good morning everyone hold your breath you are getting your letter this monthBaba park one side o. No dey yarn for this forum. I remember how you dey hustle everybody for information and we were giving it to you but cos according to you, you meet top echelon wey give you info, you no wan yarn. Guy you be fake guy, make you park one side abeg. Whether your name dey or not, na for your pocket. Everybody here know say the list dey fall out this month, so if you have nothing new to say, just FEM!!!! Which kain rubbish sef? You dey enjoy as your fellow men dey beg you? You no know yourself. To all potential scholars, let's exercise patience. When e fall out we go all see am. My advise is that you should notify your schools of the delay and drop a hint that you might need to defer until Jan or Sept next year. It's a smart and wise step to take. |
sifo: No one said NDDC is bad we only made comparisons between the quality offered and opportunities available afterwards. My advice for u is to try and interact with previous nddc scholars and scholars from the Institutes I mentioned then draw ur conclusions from that, ur comparison with professional courses in India is completely wrong. I would want to go into details explaining IPS and d rest but that's not necessary here. This gist has derailed the thread enough biko let's go back into info on wen d mysterious invite will come in and TB test and lemme become a silent observer once more.Bros with all due respect to you and what you know, I just might know more about IPS than you do. I know the opportunities with IPS and their affiliations but we can't compare an M.Sc outside with anything in Nigeria. I have friends and lots of them for that matter but then dem go still tell you say away dey better o. Let's just leave the argument as you suggested but I'd end it with this. Any school in the UK is better. Trust me on that. I'm talking out of experiences from people, past and present. Thanks. |
I've been following all what you all have been saying and I have one thing to say to those who said they'd forfeit. That's real weak talk. Balderdash. Rubbish! Forfeit kor forfeit ni! Na lack of information dey kill us for this one country we dey oooo! Let's look at the facts here. As stated the first school in Nigeria to appear amongst the top schools came in at about 3000, all the schools affiliated with the nddc fare way better than that. IPS we are talking about is not a university. It's for professional courses! It's like going to India for a professional course in automation, instrumentation and control that's why it's expensive and their affiliates also. Let's argue here with facts. We are waiting patiently and I pray we all get this then make I see una wey wan forfeit. |
Dantidote: My guy na faith me jst dey use ooo. I'm just a common Niger Deltan and i neva get access to the list...Baba make we do am by faith. People wey don get access to list, na only one slot their name go enter na. Abi dem go duplicate their name into 200 places? Lol. |
EMMABC1: bros u sure? I tot it was earlier than dat ( 2nd week)Dantidote is actually correct. That's why my argument from the onset has always been that there's no specific set pattern to when they will send the SMS and I stressed this in my earlier posts. Let's be patient. For those who are very sure their names is on the list, they can go ahead and start making preparations for visa and ish. Success to us all. |
rajrascal: Let a man taste success and his true nature is revealed. Emma BC firstly don’t let your perceived success get to your head. All Linton was trying to ask was if your scholarship was purely merit or someone put in a good word for you. You don’t talk down on people like that.Inasmuch as I don't support Emma's attitude and response to the question asked, I also feel that the question asked was very very irrelevant. Wetin concern una concern him score and if na connections him use get am? This forum is an open one and what if there are spies. Emma on the other hand you suppose tell anybody say dem check your name and etc. that's why such questions would be aroused. On the whole let's squash the ish and be united once more. God bless. |
cabaye: can any one clarify to me how Nddc makes payments to the schools they are affiliated to. do they pay before service or pay after service ?? (they pay to the school as soon as they confirm you are in the UK or they pay before you depart)When you get to the school, NDDC pays, at times the payment is made towards the end of the year being November/dec/jan and then the balance will be paid to your account. |
kurma: I really dont knw wat to call dat but i bliv each participating state shld b alloted a quota of candidates to produce dan letting the selection be just like dat.We are saying same thing. The quota was allocated according to how much oil is produced in each of the nddc states. |
I want to also give a response with respect to getting scholarships from school and etc. most people who when applying to their schools put that they were being sponsored didn't get any form of scholarship from the school. I'm a victim of that. So I think if you put self sponsored you would be entitled to a scholarship. Then I don't know if you can eat more than one scholarship from your government but if you can, I still maintain my position that it isn't fair. We all have consciences. If your own gree you do am, good for you but if I were in such position I wouldn't. |
Dantidote: Hope ondo candidates wouldn't suffer from this in NDDC Postgraduate scholarship shortlistingThe topic they deliberated on doesn't have to do with us firstly, secondly I think ondo state doesn't have a high quota in nddc stuff. If you do the maths by the highest oil producing states and then multiply your results with 200, you'd get the approximate number of candidates each state will get. Assuming they do it that way though. |
rajrascal: where csimms7 sefBaba I dey o. Still waiting. My contact never tell me anything. Just told me that the MD hasn't been steady in office. |
rajrascal: walahi!!..dis thread quiet today o..My fellow comrade in faithful waiting, lol, we dey o. We fold hand dey look from far. We dey observe quietly. E b like say dem want make we as Niger Deltans start to agitate o. Lol. I hear say Boko dey recruit, say vacancy dey. Kindly forward applications to recruitment@boko.com if you are tired of waiting for NDDC o. Lmao. All the best my friends. I wan go church now. Please if you are in port harcourt, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi of Deeper Life is in town life!!!! Come and be blessed. 25-27 this month o. Explosion of Miracles. I go fall out from the program by Sunday with my testimony o. If you wan dey like me, let's meet at Rumudara. One love ya'll. |
Benny247: @EmmaBC1, thank you for the information....however, can we know your source?Instead of you to say thank you for the information. You dey find the source. Nigerians ehn! Una get wahala o. Lmao. |
cabaye: I'm not in support of those writing the petition but its a bit unfair to say government/nddc owes we Niger deltans nothing. what are they then existing for?? the existence of nddc and the minstry of of environment were argued to be similar during the confab and some delegates from the north were advocating for the closure of nddc as its not functioning.Baba don't get it twisted. NDDC carries out thousands of projects in all their states baba, skill acquisition dey too wey dem dey do, no think am too much oooo, the argument they had wasn't for scholarship oooo, if they decide to stop the scholarship scheme we will only rant, rave and protest but it won't deny the fact that they are working in the states where they are. That's my own view. |
EMMABC1: I understand ur perspectives but what I suggested is a kind of appeal or plea to the presido to intervene.Baba, the point b say e no make sense. Simple! President get Boko issues him dey deal with and other pressing national issues, are you trying to suggest to him that NDDC board aren't working fine? Cos if that's the case, worst case scenario na to investigate and set up panel and is that going to do us more good than harm? Anyways let's stop the petitioning but rather petition ourselves here for information needed and be patient. Patience is a virtue. Always remember that. E go come to pass. Have faith. |
cabaye: hehe..me just ask for oga presidio name to see if I fitLwkmd. You be clown guy. @linton you are so so so right on point. NDDC owes nobody anything, instead of una to even dey tell them thank you say dem dash you 10k after interview, lol. Let's pray and be focused. |
cabaye: thanks a lot for your effort but as someone mentioned earlier that nddc at the moment is/was financially broke was very true. in fact they are owing contractors and it seems the scholarship program is the last thing for them to worry about .etcCabaye, we are all literates here naw. Imagine you are a company and you are submitting your budget to your parent company for the year, wouldn't you add all your expenses? Baba, when we get this letter, they don't pay the school immediately o, it takes up to nov, dec, or early Jan for them to pay and then if there's any balance left, they credit to us. Let's leave the whole NDDC is broke story, that's in the past, budget has now been approved, we should only pray we are amongst the lucky 200. No more agitations. I don't fancy the idea of writing the President and whoever. Did NDDC as a matter of fact sign contract with any of us and give us a specific date? Those writing President and suggesting to write him, how una dey sure say una name dey. Mehn! Let's be matured here. I pray for the best for us all but dem say person wey live for glass house no dey throw stones o. Let's not use our hand and bring gbege to ourselves. Oluwa is Highest. Gbam!!! |
EMMABC1: GEJ facebook name is simply Goodluck Jonathan. Reuben Abati's twitter handle is @abati1990 but u can also write him a letter at letters@reubenabati.com.ng. I have just written both GEJ and Abati.I go dey plain with una. Una dey f**k up wella. Una dey jones. Imagine you working in a company like NDDC and finding out that meetings held are being discussed in public which means there's someone leaking minutes of the meeting to other people. E even bad say we dey talk am here, e come worse say una don dey petition Presido. Una get sense at all? Budget was just approved less than a week or a week plus at most and una no fit exercise patience. Two years ago they got their letters middle of August. Wtf is wrong with you all here. You've waited this long, is it going to kill us to wait a little bit longer. Mehn, I dey para abeg. No more comments |
cabaye: we should know our faith this week, latest Wednesday (by faith). the only ideal time to prepare for the 28 days is by using the month of august . most schools are resuming on the 15th of September.waiting for another 2 weeks wouldn't be good for my health. lolCabaye you know you can avoid loosing your admission by writing the school and buying yourself time right? So if you are sure on NDDC or you wanna self sponsor but waiting to know your fate first with NDDC, we write the school, give some good excuse and buy time till 1st week of August. Cheers bro and good morning to the full house. |
Ezyp: Pls o is it advisable for someone to apply for visa now(while waiting)...cos the CAS number given to me by cranfield (early April) is valid for 3monthsBros I know there's been lots of responses to your question but I want to answer it differently. You should note that if you are going to apply for your visa now, you won't be applying as a student going on scholarship, you'd be applying as a self sponsoring student. So the best bet is to write the school to issue you a new CAS if you still want to wait on NDDC but if not, you can use the CAS to apply, then you'd know that you'd need to show proof of living expenses for 9 months and also show that you've paid half of your fees. So those are your options. |
cabaye: that's 7200 pounds for 21 daysOkies. I think it's just a general requirement to have between 7200-9000 pounds for 28 days if on a scholarship. My friend who's in Salford and got the scholarship last year was required to have that also. I pray it pans out well, hopefully in a week or two we should all know our fates. It is well! |
?? I'm there now!!!! Make we flex Abuja oooo. No dulling. I'm leaving Saturday or Sunday.
