A woman who has formed the habit of making some unforgivable arithmetical errors, not once or twice. Nobody is looking for fault here. We are just trying to see reasons why the economy is failing. Science and technology and yoruba is water and oil. They talk too much and lack that inbuilt raw technical ability present in races like the igbos , germans, asians or even the jews. Yorubas are best fitted to the humanities such as law and co where they can talk themselves to stupor. Even their engineering professors are most of the time very good theorists with a lot of paper certifications. |

diva90: Why should buhari resign? If PDP had been prudent and had genuine interest in the betterment of Nigeria's future, We will not be in as much mess as we are today because we would have had enough to cushion the effects of the problem that we are in right now. Imagine if these money hungry looters came back? Of course we will not know half of what we know today, thanks to buhari's ceaseless fight against corruption and they would have continued to rob nigeria blindly. All that money they were throwing away during elections, their plan was to come back and loot it back x5.... But God had other plans for our dear nation. I urge my fellow Nigerians to be patient. Things will get better. All of u expecting overnight transformation, that was not the change he promised.... Even PDP didn't change this country in 16years! The value of the naira has dipped to a record low in 2 years. The Economy nosediving too to record abysmal lows in two years. All economic and scientific indices point to worse situations for the Nigerian people in the coming years. So where exactly are you getting your optimism from? Are you an afonja? If you are, then I understand your school of thought. You probably believe buhari would be there forever. |

whitebrown: @ironheart I really love the content of ur first line. That's the spirit. Nigeria will not be fixed overnight. By the way, I am not a supporter of buhari' government considering the hardship Nigerians are facing presently but let's keep making this seemingly little strides. If all these rail projects do is to facilitate the movement of goods across geographical locations, it's a good step. Nigerians are not looking for a miracle worker but seeking for progress that is tangible. Whatever little income we generate and the loots recovered from thieves(politicians), let it be put to use in a way we can all see and feel. We might have a journey on our hand, the road ahead might be very rough, but let Nigerians know and see that everyday they make sacrifices, their destination to economic freedom becomes closer. The length of our journey as a nation needs to be specific, our destination needs to be clearly marked, we should be able as a people to know how far we have gone and how further we still need to go. We should not be like passengers in an aircraft that seem to fly forever with no destination in sight except been told by the pilots that "we would soon be there" but never getting there and no sigh of descent. You are deceiving yourself and you know it. The first thing a govt that has a plan and wants to improve a lot of lives would do is how to make the states more productive thereby increasing generated wealth and prosperity. A govt with a plan should be talking about decentralized economics and true federalism which soludo recently suggested too. What you guys are doing in that country is going in endless cycles. Building one or two federal railways and a few roads would not change things that much. Most people would still be poor and Buhari would come and go and you would stop be hoping. |

Or Enugu that is 1/27th the size of Ibadan but not as developed? I have been to Ibadan. It is a massive shitthole. It has one or two decent places, but still an overall shitthole with a massive array of corroded zinc. Comparing Enugu to Ibadan is an insult. Go to skyscrapercity and check the aerial view of both cities and then come back here and make your apology. I don't give a shitt about size. China is bigger than Nigeria and more developed. Singapore is smaller than Nigeria and more developed. Size is irrelevant. |

Aigbofa: Going by your logic there's nothing in the south east that suggests it will be better than any other struggling landlocked African country. Drug pushing, kidnapping and senseless crimes are not the type of tenacity needed to build a nation. The SE is a tenacious , industrious terrain. It just requires a bit of above average governance to make it a success. Unlike other parts of Nigeria, the people in the SE are already productive and ambitious. |

Aside from the obvious joker above, nickel is a very serious mineral. Along with cobalt, it accounts for over 80% of the materials used in the fabrication and design of the US military industrial complexes and many other defence industries in the developed world. Nigeria is underdeveloped . And Would probably lose most of the value added products anyway just like crude oil. |

You don't seem to understand the importance of the south west in Nigeria. Why do u think most Igbo's prefer to live and work here? Because of relative peace and our tolerance for other tribes which cannot be found in your region. Osun is infrastructurally better than Enugu and anambra despite its huge debts. SW will always lead You are a deluded mofo. I bet just like 90% of your youthful Yoruba population, you are ignorant. There is currently no SW state that is as livable as Enugu. That is a fact. Igbos don't prefer to work in the SW- I know you guys like to extrapolate it to the rest of the SW to feel good. They work in lagos capitalizing on federal govt developmentally challenged policies that has made lagos a one eyed dwarf in the midst of blind midgets . No sensible Igbo citizen would go travelling to other Yoruba states like osun and co for economic purposes unless maybe to colonize them there. And lagos is not livable. No sane human being would choose to live in lagos if he had a choice. Btw, your peace is a mirage and not according to any credible scientific observation. https://www.nairaland.com/3103641/south-east-safest-place-live-un |

Keep deceiving yourselves. Your people will soon blame Zuckerberg for marginalizing the south east due to his preference to establish the WiFi in the south west. If Nigeria divides today, the east will suffer most cos of under development and lack of resources. Yoruba's lead, others follow One would think you would lead the way for Yoruba national emergence so that we would all see what would become of lagos and so that Yoruba folks like you can fully enjoy your SW. You know in your heart of hearts that your only saving grace is Nigeria and its dysfunctionality which you guys seem to revel in. Your people are not ambitious, tenacious or industrious enough to build a resilient nation on the back of your own sweat. Look at osun and co, that is exactly what lagos would become in a Yoruba controlled republic. Your brothers in benin republic are already showing you your future. |
