There are still ground breaking Western innovations in those areas that should not be going to China.

I am speaking here from the Western point of view.

The US and the west lost the advantage when they allowed Chinese citizens to flood their best universities and cart away technical knowledge wholesale straight to China.

It's a strategic mistake that have cost them the future.

Right now any serious politician in America that want to win back the future should be looking to restrict Chinese students enrollment in some technical courses and in some elite universities in the west.

Chinese students should not be studying artificial intelligence or robotics at MIT or Oxford.

That is crazily naive.

Trump had the right idea when he proposed something like that, but he was just not sophisticated enough to do it.

There is a difference between assists and been selfless.

Assists is not equal to selflessness.
