Amazonians are banking on relationship with Nigeria to be free from Cameroon. They want Nigerian support for freedom from Cameroon.
Nigeria can use that.

Support them to weaken Cameroon and help them to make that region ungovernable, establish pro-Nigeria leaders in the ambazonia structure through bribes and landed properties in Nigeria, and then when the time is right, annex it in a Crimea style format..

That is exactly what Putin did in Crimea.

Nigeria can use the "restoration of law and order" as an excuse to move into the place and station troops permanently there.
