Effiko, lol, our writing is not near perfect, the only tip i can give you is to write just the way you pronounce, it will make sense.
Mbon unege ye yoruba esie wed eke mo, so nyak nyen etiene ewed eke nyen nko.
idige mo ikpong eyene usem. Good luck reading that, LOL.
I read it. Yes we too should interact in our own dialect once in a while. odu ke lagos mi or ke ka ufong uwed mi?

^^ U people should relax. If your documents are ok then you have nothing to fear. Give them till next week Friday, I sure something positive would come up. Have you been tracking your docs or better still, have u visited the courier people for confirmation?

Toluaids, u r the one going to SAIT, right? what course? I am going there too.

@Cuddlemii, congrats but it also means sorry 4 your mom grin. Pls tell her to b patient, hers is almost here.
Hahaha u had to rub that in abi? Anyways my own is the koko tongue, I just used my discretion to include hers wink. I think the study permit is what they are working on now as the applicants are so much. The packages red star received on Monday for students alone was visible enough. I think peeps here should be patient, I am sure latest next week u would get ur medical forms. It might have even been sent to the courier pple but due to the volume, the courier pple are still sorting it out & dispatching. So all hope is not lost.

@sexkillz; badt guy, see as you turn the story com favour you.

But seriously i think cuddlemii should be the female cast.
REASON: The character depicts a gentle and tolerating personality of a persevering girlfriend, until she was pushed to the wall.
Oya cuddlemii, you too, fill in the gap.
No wahala as long as you are the male cast. I can't wait to give you a tour of judgment day in advance. Hell has no fury,

Oya dammytex, you too, fill in the gap.

WHY bring up the issue of the guy who left his fatty bobo fiance after 9 yrs
Well just giving her heads up that the duration of a relationship is not a ticket to marriage. Communication is even more vital. Its a just a comment oga, just like u & toba mentioned my name in dt thread, r we now getting penalized for that?

@op

I have not read the whole post or your question. My advice for you is this, learn from High something, that dude that left his babe after 9 years. I don't know maybe women use super glue on their lips that they don't communicate with their men. I can't tell you to pressure him to marry you but I suggest you ask him where the relationship is headed and what you want. The earlier the better, so you can find your square root.

About leaving him for the other dude, that the lamest thing I have ever heard. Did the new guy promise you marriage or did he bring Kola nut, snuff & hot drink to your family to ask for your hand in marriage? Na so e easy to meet someone and marry asap. U guys would still have to date for a while and all. You might end up wasting another 5 years with that one. Before you know it your privates would be as large as a water well. Please use your brain and iron out issues with the devil you know and not the angel whose intentions you are not sure of.

I am sure you would be fine. Its never too late to sort things out but please cultivate the habit of communication with your man. Its not only "touch me there", "no feel me there", "that's the spot", "i like it here".  that you need to communicate to your man.

Tell it to them. Iban efik isi memke, ke utem udia ye ke ukot mbre.

@OP, u probably ate from a buka and not in a home. Buka food is commecialized, look for a calabar woman's home and eat, then come back and talk.

You're soo right, I used Redstar too. According to my online tracking, no information has been upload yet while I got an email from CDHC saying they have sent out my medical instruction, after I emailed them for a status update. They even attached the letter again on the email. Am going to redstar's office tomorrow. They r really lousy. But atleast Thank God, it's a positive answer. He's really an awesome God!!
I have not sent an email to CDHC yet. I will just ask my mom to check if I have anything from them. When is your start date? When did you apply? What school?

@ Epicwin: She was told they were not sure if she was going to study.

@Cuddlemii: Next time use DHL/UPS, they are very efficient when it comes to online tracking. Meanwhile, u said u submitted 16th May. What is your sch start date 4 your Prog?? Chibs001 submitted 16th May and he has already don his Medicals last Friday, H'm, i think he is a bad guy.

@ newacca: Relax!!! Or u can 4get your fist on the Dr's face. grin
My start date is October 11th, probably that explains the delay. They probably have to ans Sept peeps first. Anyways my mom would be there by 8am to pick hers. I pray I will have a package to receive too for medicals. Fingers crossed!

@op

Are you sure you didn't write this post of yours when you were drunk.

Calabar/Akwa-Ibom has the highest number of soups. The women there are exceptionally good in cooking. They are brought up to cater for a man needs. That's why most mistresses are Calabars because most women from other tribes don't know how to cook. Its just instilled in the women from Calabar.

When I was in school, when I am frying just mere onions, all those Yoruba chicks would bring paper and biro to learn what I am cooking. I was even nicknamed Calabar kitchen and I was just experimenting with Electric Kettle, Stainless plate & Pressing iron so you can imagine if it was home cooking, the babes would jump down a 3 storey building.

I even think Calabar food is under-rated, do you know how many tribes cook our meals? How many restaurants abroad sell our meals? How many married men in Nigeria that go to Calabar kitchens outside their homes to eat irrespective of the price tag of the Calabar food? Why do most housemaids come from there, thats why lazy housewives from other tribes can leave the home cooking to those maids.

Calabar women hardly loose their husbands and If they do, they re-marry asap because Calabar women are blessed & down to earth. Some of our mouth watering delicacies are Afia Efere (white soup), Atama (Palm Kernel soup), Ottong (A sophisticated Ogbono soup), Afang, Edi kia kong, The Ekpan u mentioned is made from Cocoa yam, we have Efere Etigi (Our own okro soup and not that watery stuff other tribes serve) and a lot of others. I purposely did not add them Egusi, Ewedu, stew, yam porridge etc, Those are common foods that all tribes claim as theirs. I gave you a list ours, made discovered and created by Calabar people.

Give a Calabar babe or guy dry pepper, salt, water, tomato puree & Garri. As ridiculous & impossible as it may sound, you would be amazed by how he or she would cleverly manage those items and make it a blockbuster meal that your neighbors would suddenly become friendly.

Don't mess with us oh. Even a Calabar babe's walking step is enough food. They hardly get dumped except they are tired of the men, men eat from their palms. They have the secret recipes. Other tribes do jazz & rituals, we use good food & romance to keep our men. Even their eyes can kill, they are not lazy people but hardworking cooks.

I can go on & on but people already know more than enough about Calabar food and their people.

So op whenever u are less busy, I can take you to Calabar because its obvious u were dropped at Aba or Onitsha, people sleep off in all those Young shall grow buses especially attachments where u have to sit on a stool in the middle of the buses, u must have missed the sign board of the name of the state. We would go by air so that you would be awake & fit through out your visit to Calabar
