@Cuteannie02,

PDF is the only advisable way to attach documents. That way it is not easy to edit your documents.

Your transcript must be sent by your institution directly to VETASSES while your certificate is enough to upload for the main application.

If you were paid into the bank, your bank statement and employment offer letter should suffice.
Thank you sir, tho I was issued checks only, no account statements, I guess I ll hv to gamble on reference letter and payslips then.

The taste of the pudding is in the eating. I am not sure anyone here can answer the question except AITSL. If he meets the requirements, he should get a positive response.

Like I said, until he put in for the assessment, no one can confidently say yes or no, individual circumstances are different.

@Cuteannie02,

Since your occupation is on the SOL list, apply for the 189 subclass. You only need minimum of 60points. First step though is to assess your skills and qualification with the assessing authority for your occupation.

@Swimgood,

The company can prepare payslip for him since he works there. However, without bank statement and tax clearance, I wouldn't know how he can navigate that water if the CO ask for additional documents.

Better get your 60points without claiming work experience.
Thanks a lot @bellong, I now know that vetassess is my assessing body, I have a question for those who have used them before ;
Please what format should d uploaded documents be, docs or pdf?
As for employment history, I wasn't issued a pay slip for my salary, what do you suggest I do, has anyone been in my shoes please?
As for the document checklist for subclass 189, is it mandatory to attach my transcript in my application?
Please kindly enlighten me as I don't want to make any mistakes.
A big thank you to everyone that has been taking time to answer all our rookie questions on this forum, patiently waiting for ur responses

If you are sure of the 60points benchmark, the first thing is to assess your B.Sc with the relevant authority.
189 visa is for workers who are not sponsored by an employer or family member or nominated by a state or territory government.
190 visa is for workers who are nominated by a state or territory government agency.
If nobody is sponsoring you SOL & if you are being sponsored or nominated CSOL.
thanks for the clear explanation

I think you have almost all the requirement kindly peruse this thread very well your question had been answered many of times and yours seem pretty straight forward
thanks for your response, I have read through the thread and even the Australian immigration website but am still unclear about somethings.
For example, my occupation is listed on both the CSOL and the SOL lists but I don't know which to pursue, secondly I don't know the one to select between subclass 189 and 190, lastly, since I already had my ielts done, what is the next step?. Please help me cos the process is still not very clear to me

Sixth Express Entry Draw of 2016 for Immigration to Canada 9th March 2016

CRS 473, 1,013 ITAs Issued

Clearly if your point is below 400-450 you better look for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to better your chance!

This January, Saskatchewan opened and within 3 days it closed because it reached the numbers it wanted.

The trick is: get all your docs ready. You create a profile and upload all your docs then submit once it opens.

That's exactly what I did.
with this recent increase in the CRS to 473, I wonder what hope is there for an applicant like me with only 438, oinp isn't smiling either, hmmm

Hi all,

Someone sent me this and i just thot i should share it with you guys. To me it is ridiculous, though some sound funny.

To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed.

New Rules of Air travel for People of Nigerian Origin in the United States

1. Do not go to the toilet for the whole duration of your flight.

2. Do not carry any kind of container into the airport, or onto the plane.

3. Do not request for a window seat. Do not ask to sit in the aisle. Any request for specific seating may be indications of a premeditated plot,

4. If you are given food during the flight, ask the flight attendant not to give you cutlery. A Nigerian with a sharp implement on a plane is asking to be arrested.

5. Do keep your hands in plain sight during the flight. Do not look too happy or too sad.

6. Do not be too polite to flight attendants.

7. Do not be aggressive or have aggressive thoughts toward flight attendants

8. Try not to have any form of carry on luggage. If you do, make sure it contains
nothing suspicious or dangerous like pens, pencils, paper, or a calculator, as these are common bomb making materials.

9. Do not carry any electronic items that may be used to communicate with the Taliban ,or used for surveillance, like cell phones, iPods, walkmans, electric toothbrushes or cameras,

10. NEVER travel with your laptop computer.

11. Never travel if you have any kind of tribal marks. That includes the small marks you have managed to cover with facial hair.

12. Do not travel to the U.S if you are an engineer, if you have ever lived in London, or if your father is a banker.

13. Do not talk to other Nigerian on the same flight as you. It makes other people nervous.

14. Do not ask to be upgraded to first class or business class. Sitting too close to the front of the plane makes the pilot nervous.

15. Never admit to your fellow passengers that you are Nigerian. If asked, say you are from the Republic of Zamunda in East Africa.

16. When you are getting onto the plane, do not even glance at the cockpit.

17. Women, do not wear wigs, weaves or hair pieces. Any form of disguise is suspicious.

18. Take a cold shower before coming to the airport. Sweating and scratching yourself is a sign of nervousness. Why are you nervous?

19. Do not fart on the plane. Noxious smells might indicate you have bomb making chemicals hidden in your underpants.

20. Do not go home with the free magazines in the plane. Yes, it says “free”, but that is just a test. Leave the plane with those magazines and you’ll be arrested.

21. Wear clean underwear and be ready for a full body/cavity search.

22. Do not carry any potentially dangerous or toxic substances onto the plane like toothpaste, cough mixture, bottled water, mouthwash, lipstick, chewing gum or baby formula, Make sure your baby’ diapers are empty.

23. Do not get angry with fellow passengers, for any reason, even if it’s their fault. You will still be arrested and sent to Guantanamo Bay.

24. Do not travel by air into, out of, or across the U.S if you are Muslim.
Muslim is defined as :
a. Any person with a suspicious name like Mohammed, Fatal, Fatima, Barrack or Ibrahim, or if your last name starts with El-, Al-, or Abdul-, All Nigerian Alhajis, Alhajas, Alfas and Imams are forbidden from entering U.S airspace
a. Anyone that has ever entered a mosque.
b. Anyone that knows what a mosque is.
c. Anyone that dresses in long flowing garments.
d. Anyone that has a beard.

NOTE: If you converted from Islam to Christianity, you are still classified as Muslim.

25. Always travel with some kind of proof that you are a Christian. Preferably always travel with your pastor.

26. Do not attract attention to yourself. Do not drive to the airport in your Mercedes or Honda like a typical Nigerian. Instead, drive an American car like Pontiac or Chevy. You may be mistaken for an American. Or Haitian.

27. Do not ask to drink soda, tea or coffee in the airport or on the plane. Always ask for alcohol to prove you are not a Muslim.

28. Do not travel by air in the U.S if you have ever had a parking ticket, extra-marital affairs, stolen stationary from your office, or if you have ever exceeded the speed limit. This is a sign of severe subversive terrorist behavior.

27, Do not travel on or around Christmas day or on September 11th. Avoid travelling on or around Easter, Thanks Giving , Independence day or New year’s Day. Avoid traveling on Muslim holidays. Avoid air travel in the summer or winter. (NOTE: no specific reason, its just to piss you off)

28, YORUBA people please!!! Do not prostrate to greet your elders at the airport. People may thing you are dodging bullets or protecting yourself from a bomb blast,

29. NEVER, EVER carry any kind of Nigerian food onto a US aircraft,

30. Wearing agbadas, head ties, wrappers, danshikis, etc to the airport is not recommended. They make you look very un-American, and therefore potentially dangerous.

31. Do not act like a typical Nigerian for the duration of the flight. This includes speaking any language other than “American English”. Speaking any “funny” language is to be avoided. If you have elderly parents that do not speak “American”, they should NOT speak for the duration of the flight. If spoken to, their response to anything should be “Yeah man”,

32. DO not talk to your fellow passengers. Statements like “hello” might be misconstrued to be “Hello, you are my next victim”. Statements like “Hello, my name is Mohammed”, may be interpreted as “my name is Mohammed and I’m gonna blow up this goddam plane”.

33. Do not wear large afros that may conceal weapons or bombs.

34.Do not carry any kind of document , newspaper or book that contains any form of Arabic inscription or writing. You will be detained until a translator can be found.

35. Do not argue when you are told your luggage is over weight. Apologise profusely and pay double what they ask you for excess luggage.

This guide was created by the Nigerian Counter-Terrorism Unit. Research was sponsored by The Save Your Behind (SYB) Trust Fund.
Absolutely hilarious, the writer should have said 'do not travel to America ', absolutely false and impossible

Hello Everyone.
Sorry for bringing you all back with this question.

To be Eligible for the E.E do you need to follow the result given to you by the CRS link or the ''Come to Canada'' [check your eligibility] Express Entry Pool link on their website.

I do hope you understand what I mean.
The CRS gives a number, mine is sadly 389. But when i answer the questions on the E.E. link, it says that ''Based on your answers, you appear to be eligible for Express Entry''

Please explain, so i know if I should forget this based on my CRS Score and face my miserable job here! Or continue with trying for the E.E

Thank you all

Tried sending Zandora a personal message but that didn't work embarassed
Once d come to Canada tool says u r eligible then you are, so far the information you provided is correct, as far as the crs score is concerned, based on the information you provided, dats wia u stand now if you enter the pool, you still stand a chance of increasing the score if you choose to continue by increasing ur ielts score or getting more education or getting a job offer in Canada. The last option is quite difficult to get, so ur best bet is to focus on ielts

I expected the score to have increased by 53, assuming your age stays same. If you are a year older, then the increase should be 48 and the total CRS should be 441. So, what happened?
Finally, my score was updated today, it's 438. Awaiting NOI from Ontario, d gurus in the house were right, I only had to wait for 24hrs. Thanks people

The below may be the reason why the provinces are yet to announce their plans and programmes for 2016

The 2016 immigration levels plan

The government of Canada is scheduled to table its 2016 immigration levels plan to Parliament on or before March 9, 2016. Among other details, this plan is expected to announce how many immigrants Canada aims to attract over the year and reveal a breakdown in the number of immigrants that will be allocated to the various Canadian immigration programs. This plan is usually presented by November of any given year, but has been delayed on this occasion due to the change in government at that time last year.

Interestingly, last December an IRCC Policy Analyst stated that there may be a correlation between the immigration plan and Express Entry rounds of invitations.

“We expect that in the new year when our rounds start growing — to meet our new levels plan — that the score will reduce,” stated the IRCC Policy Analyst, who added that “The number of invitations issued per round is expected to increase as the pre-Express Entry inventory of applications is finalised. In turn, it is expected that the minimum score of those that are invited to apply will drop.”

With this projection in mind, it may be the case that the objectives contained in the immigration plan will be the catalyst for a further reduction in CRS point requirements for draws from the Express Entry pool.
I guess one can presume from the above that if your crs is above 400, it's safer to wait till end of march to see if the crs requirement drops before going the PNP route. Thanks for the info comrade.

My age is the same, tho I will be 30 on the 26th of this month, I guess I ll hv to wait until tomorrow or next like slowbtsurely suggested to see Wat my score would be on the pool, keeping my fingers crossed.

[quote author=dupyshoo post=43420566]It depends on the score you had before and the score you have now. For example, 7.5-9.0 in Speaking - same score, 6.0-7.0 in Listening - same score, 8.5-9.0 in Listening - same score, 8.0-9.0 in Reading - same score, 7.0-7.5 in Reading - same score, and 7.5-9.0 in Speaking - same score.

With regard to Ontario, some people have got nomination but the processing takes so much time. I have seen people waiting for almost 5 months for the nomination. What's your current CRS score?

Thanks dupyshoo, my former scores :L,9;R,9,;W,6.5;S,7.5
Total crs in the pool was 393
Present score :L,8.5;R,9;W,7;S,7.5
In the pool it still remained 393

But when I used the crs tool, it gave me 433.with all other factors equal. As far as waiting is concerned, I don't mind, so long as it's less than a year cos I don't see CIC cut off score getting as low as 433 anytime soon considering that it was 453 recently.

For IELTS Australia prefer General not Academic, however, you would still need to score 7 band in each of the modules to stand a chance of migrating. This is because your wife's occupation (Accountant and financial auditor) is highly competitive for Australia with applicants in the 65 points range stuck in the pool for several months. Bottom line, you need all the points you can get, and a 7.0 band in each module fetches you an extra 10 points, 25 for age (she is 33), 10 points for experience (8 years would have fetched her 15 points, but she has got 7 years), 15 points for degree. To shore up your point, you may also lean on state sponsorship to get additional 5 points.

The 50 point I wrote about was for Canadian PR. Applicants with a minimum of 2 or more degree ECA and a CLB band of 9 in IELTS are entitle to the 50 additional points under transferable skill. Bringing this home to your spouse situation; she has got a Masters and a CLB of (10 in listening and speaking, 9 in reading, but 8 in writing). Because of her CLB of 8 in writing (IELTS of 6.5), you guys lost 50 points. If she re-attempts IELTS now and scored (L-R-W-S --8-7-7-7), your CRS would jump to 400+ and you can easily go the PNP route.

Personally, I think the best option is for her to re-write the IELTS, considering her performance in the last attempt. She got pretty close. In fact, you guys should have considered re-evaluation before the expiration of the review window; apparently, it's too late.

In summary, which ever option you settle for (Australia or Canada), she would have to re-sit for IELTS.

Honestly, with your wife's ielts result, don't give up on Canada yet. if
Please I am unclear about something, is there a clb10?, I thought d highest is CLB9. Please kindly clarify. Thank you

3, u only evaluate your highest qualification, dat should be ur degree, cost is about 322cad, if you are paying Wes for the fastest means of getting back to you, duration depends on u, and ao quickly your school gets back to them, usually a month or two.

Am new here, you guys are doing a great job here, I have checked the first page and some info seems not too clear to me. I am about to apply for the FSWP, and I want to ask these questions;
1) At what point will one need Police clearance certificate, as am currently in the UK, will I need a Nigerian Police Clearance certificate plus UK police clearance, or just the UK police clearance is enough
2) I am the only applicant, and my account in Nigeria was red before I left and if not dormant now, and the money in my UK account is not up to the limit required by CIC, can I use either of my Dad or Mum bank statement as proof of funds and a bank reference letter to that effect? And can an affidavit be sworn by my Dad that he is giving me the funds so as to use for proof of funds?
3) will I need to evaluate my WAEC and my Degree cert for the WES, or just degree certificate, and how long does it take with associated costs?
4) does IT and NYSC experience counts towards the work experience if it is in a cognate field?
4) if I had a graduate job and an Industry training with a company, will I get 2 different references or 1 reference stating the 2 job role, and is it necessary to have the employment details on the letter, and also to whom will the letter be addressed to, and regarding payment of salaries, do have to prove the salaries paid with something, cos I only receive alerts on my phone and no record of that again?
5) And is anyone familiar with the Australian and New Zealand Skilled migrant category, cos no forum for that.
Folks, reply me at your earliest convenience, thanks

My reason for coming back now is to share with the house that asking for a remark when one has a strong conviction is not a bad idea. I challenged my writing score and few days ago i got it reviewed to 7 so now got a crs of 422 though still low for ITA but can go other means. I read almost no positive info about remark online but refused to be discouraged. Wish everyone
goodluck.

Those mentioned as professional degrees are specialized programmes which usually takes longer years to finish at Bachelors but the education is sufficient to practice and deemed equivalent of a Masters by CIC. WES will determine the Canadian equivalent of the MILR and I'm almost certain it will be a Masters so, you are good to go
