Hi Dara, I think it depends on location when you get to Lagos. I think you should just go into any good photo studio around ur location and work something out with them. It pays to be careful and u'll need to keep safe. If you have relatives in Lagos, they'll help. If you are visiting for the 1st time and will be in a hotel, then find out from them where u can get a very good photo studio.

Just google jurgita and then, sign up for free. It is an Intl modeling network. U can contact modeling agencies, photgraphers, other models/aspiring models and professionals there. U can also try modelvillage. It is a Nigerian based modeling network. I think they charge a fee via u purchasing their card in some outlets. U can contact every1 after u've completed ur registeration.

They are real but, most of them like money too much. You learn the art of modeling by working with lots of professionals (photographers, hair stylists, artists, fashion designers, e.t.c). U gain experience as u work and that is how u grow. Most of the agencies here in Nigeria don't know what they are about. Some actually say they'll hook u up with training school (and they make it compulsory). It is quite pathetic. Generally, most of them are just plain lazy!

If u are Originally from Africa then u'll know keeping hair is ancient. If u are cool with keeping ur hair, go str8 ahead. If you get headaches, then u can cut it off. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong unless it is unkept and dirty. All these dissing makes no sense.

Nope, it's a way to promote hidden talents and get them modeling contracts. besides, the models or aspiring models get exposure. Money is just a sidekick that is, if you win or are a 1st, 2nd and 3rd runner-up.

Casting for The Look of the year 2011 Nigeria.
Audition is on the 9th of July 2011 at Pear Harbour Club, 41 Rd, Festac town, Lagos.
Requirements;
1. Candidates must be between ages 16 and 22.
2. Must have a minimum height of 5ft 7inches.
3. Should be photogenic, have a good posture, be attractive and have a good personality.

Models would have the advantage to travel to Taormina, Italy for the grand finale.
