Bride price is different from marriage list. In most tribes, bride price is cheap or affordable. If a man cannot afford bride price, it means he is not ready for marriage, let him work harder. I don't even think it is good for a lady to support in buying items on the marriage list as well, she may anyway, if she wishes. |

The man of God reminded you of the commandment of obedience in Ex. 20:12 after you narrated a particular dream to him. In that dream you saw yourself in a building, you saw your mum there but you were dodging her, while looking for your step sister (mum's firstborn) to warn her to mind herself or she will die. You warned your step sister, and she ignored you and left. You also warned your mum, and she immediately tried to attack you in a form of half bird/half human, by attaching herself on your back trying to press you. The man of God explained to you that the dream is what will happen if you go after your mum and sister physically instead of allowing God to do it for you. He explained the importance of obeying the commandment as a child of God, so as to avoid giving the devil room to use your disobedience to accuse you. Welcome back Sister Ronnygold. Happy that you are back. You warned your mum against giving you money after secondary School because while growing up you saw that your elder siblings, even some who were married were still depending on mama for some of their financial needs. They would even collect more than you (the youngest). At over 70yrs mama was still giving her children and even some sons-in-law financial help, they depended on her. Mama would give them money for naming ceremonies, buy foodstuffs etc. You knew this wasn't proper, you saw it as a curse. So you warned her seriously, to never give you money after secondary School, you wanted to make a difference, you knew her children should rather be the one giving her money, you were determined to be different and heaven signed it for you. As at this period, you never knew that her children's dependence on her was actually what mama wants, it was a spiritual manipulation caused by mama because she never wanted her children to be richer than her. |
