Programming › Re: Learning Any Programming Language Faster With Chatgpt - Prompt by cyberbro: 5:34pm On May 01, 2025
This is a nice concept.

Personally though, I wouldn't rely on AI for programming lessons. It helps for basic explanations if I don't have time to google info, but I noticed it sometimes complicates tasks unnecessarily.

Recently, I was playing with a flex display task and I asked chatgpt to supply the code... Omo!!! I was just happy I could do it myself in an easier way, otherwise, I would've been stuck with crazy and unnecessary lines of codes cos I used AI. 😂😂

santaclaws:
The most shocking aspect is that the people that would scam you are not the travel agents in Nigeria, because they can't issue it, but the Naija guys in Germany who are looking for ways to parasite on their fellow Nigerians back home. Trust me I have seen a lot of them back when I was still looking for help. They can milk you dry because of SL!
I'm new here but I've been following this thread for a few days and this is by far, the most realistic advice I've seen anyone offer here. Even in the UK, those scamming Nigerians with sponsorship are not those in Nigeria but rather, the ones in UK. The UK authorities even caught some guys recently.

Some people don't even mind relocating to countries that are worse than Nigeria!
This ☝🏾 is so true...

I believe some people's lack of exposure makes them think anywhere outside Nigeria is better than Nigeria, although I don't blame them cos a lot of Nigerians are frustrated... But bro, there are millions of other Africans making it in Nigeria. From Nigeriens to Cameroonians to Beninese, a lot of these people rely on Nigeria for their daily bread.

Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Excess Crude Account Balance Now Only $473,754 From $72 Million by cyberbro: 8:16pm On Apr 26, 2025
malali:
Agreed, but looking at things. Oil prices have since recovered post pandemic
So these account should have had increased $$$ in the last 2 years.
And the overall picture doesnt look good. Buhari paid oil and forex subsidies. Nigerians reaped the benefit, by buying cheap petrol and cheap dollars.

Tinubu is not paying subsidy, he is selling crude oil at a higher price than Buhari did and he is borrowing loans from IMF and World bank.
Nigerians are not feeling the impact of any of these measures.
Bros, I understand you, but we don't need to go into additional details.

In fact both Buhari and Tinubu are APC products, so it's the same party, but I think it's important to set the facts straight.

We can only talk about the present regime from when they took over office, which is 2023, so the figure from 2023 is what I and other people are asking for, so we can establish who did what!
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Excess Crude Account Balance Now Only $473,754 From $72 Million by cyberbro: 7:26pm On Apr 26, 2025
malali:
Subsidy use to cost us $8.1 billion to $14.4 billion annually.
Buhari Paid subsidy....Nigerians enjoyed the benefit.
Tinubu is not paying subsidy and there is no money in the account.
Where is the subsidy money going to ?
I'm not trying to vindicate or accuse Tinubu or Buhari, I just want the facts to be established.

If we're referring to the current administration, the timeline should start from 2023 when he took over office, shouldn't it?
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Excess Crude Account Balance Now Only $473,754 From $72 Million by cyberbro: 6:50pm On Apr 26, 2025
2021-2025, but the current president took over in 2023... This is misleading.

I stand to be corrected though, but the math ain't mathing. 😂

Yea sure, but the incentive is very low compared to steel. Scrap dealers (iron condemn) were the likely culprits, now it's useless to them.

westside365:
A country where politicians who does nothing are living large but teachers and Doctors are suffering.. politicians who doesn't know left from right are living large.
The above is very true. Politicians who contribute almost no value to society are the ones getting the lion share in terms of financial and social benefits, while the main professionals working to keep the country going are living on peanuts.

Nigerian teachers and lecturers earn some of the lowest salaries in the world. In fact, some cleaners in Nigeria earn more than some teachers.

There is no society that can thrive with such a system. Until the above injustice is addressed, nobody should blame any professional for leaving the country.
Properties › Re: Lagos Advocates Rent Reduction, Declares Caution Fee, Inspection Fee Illegal by cyberbro: 12:45pm On Apr 24, 2025
Nice... Still a step in the right direction.

The most important one is that commission shouldn't be more than 10% and agreement fee should be declared illegal.

Once a client pays for rent and pays the agent's commission, the landlord should provide the agreement documents and let both parties sign.

If you consider that rate of testing in Nigeria is very very low, we shouldn't celebrate yet.
You have a point, but there is no where in the world where the entire population is subjected to random HIV testing.

We can only rely on data from medical and government agencies.

Health › Re: HIV: Rivers, Benue, Akwa Ibom Leads Chart As Nigeria Reports 2 Million Patients by cyberbro: 12:12pm On Apr 23, 2025
The above statistic means that HIV rate in Nigeria is less than 1% and is no longer a Generalized HIV Epidemic (GHE), which is actually good news.

2 million out of a population of over 220m is less than 1% so that's a very low figure statistically, but we must work to eradicate or reduce HIV to the lowest possible...
