Omoboricash: I concur with your opinions. Mr Falana should pls allow Lagod sanitation to function. Lagosian are very stubborn they will not observe the monthly sanitatiin if they allow free movement . There should be restriction of movement in order to be effective. LAWMA has to be overhauled as you have stated. Imagine for good 4 months they did not show up in my estate. Some of us have made payment for a year. Imagine abandoned refuse for 4 months , the entire community was litered with refuse. Lagos government needs to do somethibg about it as matter of urgency Nice to see someone who understands my point of view. Meanwhile LASG is equally culpable in the sorry state of Lagos environment cos they aren't doing much with the IGR they generate. The men in Alausa have a lot of questions to answer... But till the day of reckoning sha. |

Jokay07: You miss the point sir. Falana is not against sanitation. He asked, why should movement be restricted on last Saturdays of every month which is a fundamental breach of humna rights when the state government has annual budget allocation of 265 billion naira for the same environmental sanitation. Falana is using style to point at the corruption embeded in that huge amount of money for sanitation. Well, you're also right. That's another perspective. |
Politics › Re: Monthly Sanitation: Falana Faults Lagos Govt Over Movement Restriction by cyberbro: 12:48pm On Mar 16 |
anonimi: What is LASG doing with trillions budget every year if it can't employ people to clear drains and gutters day & night in shifts, paid on the basis of 70k minimum wage?
What are the 20 LGAs doing with their share of 20% federation account, paid directly to them since 2024?
Do you expect the state and local governments to simply steal all the money
Any idea why London, Chicago, Paris, Toronto and other developed country's residents don't do environmental sanitation monthly for public/common areas? Your own opinion is equally valid. We can both be correct on something while sharing our perspectives. If the interim solution is environmental sanitation just once a month, it's not a bad idea. |

shortgun: Anybody broke shaming Nigerian ladies is not serious with his life. But same ladies broke shame men daily and it's seen as a normal thing. A girl who treks wants a guy who drives, they tell you point blank, dem no send you. What the pastor is saying is simple- men should set standards and stop dating/marrying liabilities in the name of relationship. A broke woman would set you back financially, while a woman who earns her own bread would compliment you. Take it or leave it. |

tyinfinity: You are just typing nonsense many polytechnic graduates like Ayodele fayose of ekiti and Aregbesola Rauf of Osun and others have achieved what your father and mother could not achieve with their university certificate.polytechnic does not teach you to go and serve anyone but to think of what you can do to be useful for yourself and the society . You are thinking backwards. Are we still in the same era as when Rauf and Fayose went to polytechnics? Back then SSCE alone would get you a job in an office. But you're comparing their own era with 2026- are you ok at all? 🤔 Instead of insulting your father, check your head well and interview current polytechnic graduates on the challenges and discrimination they face in and out of the country. Then you'll understand that someone with a superior knowledge has said the right thing. |

With the huge population of Lagos state, it is very necessary. Circle back to when there was environmental sanitation, Lagos was hardly flooded cos people cleared their drainages instead of waiting for the government to handle everything.
On the other hand, LAWMA needs to be overhauled. They are ineffective, some of their PSP truck drivers are drug addicts and their trucks are very dirty. I know of streets in Lagos (e.g. areas under Alimosho LGA) where LAWMA trucks hardly visit due to road issues, these are also some of the challenges with inner city roads in Lagos and Sanwo-Olu hasn't done much in that regard. |

Eriokanmi: Their empire is ending soon..write down today's date. When they're doing all these nonsense, they'd not think of the past. The pdp will never forget in a hurry. Power is transient Hmm... Nothing lasts forever truly. PDP too was busy wasting resources and opportunities till they lost power, now they're mostly part of the same APC most people are criticizing. We're just recycling the same set of people and they keep rebranding to achieve their aims. There's no popular politician today who wasn't affiliated to either PDP or APC at some point, especially those ones at ADC. Nigerians should just shine their eyes in 2027 sha. |

Why are we still creating polytechnics in 2026? I thought we all knew HND education isn't worth it and it's better to shift attention to technical schools and then universities? I think education at the polytechnic level has proven to be a tool for career discrimination, and there's no single HND graduate who hasn't experienced this.
"Tinubu Poly" but the power sector is begging for attention. Everyone in Nigeria is telling me there's serious heat in the country.

Lucifyre: "Taking fat and transferring it to the buttock to make the buttock huge is actually really dangerous," the board-certified plastic surgeon explained on the March 5 episode of E!'s Hot Goss. "It's the most dangerous procedure in plastic surgery because there's little veins in the buttock that connect to the main inferior vena cava going back to your heart."
"If you inadvertently inject into it, you get a fat embolism," Terry added, referring to what happens when fat particles enter the bloodstream and can block blood flow to other organs. "It's not good and that can be very problematic to say the least." GBAM! You quoted a related source! |

The BBL surgery is a generally risky surgery to do, which is why everyone must stay away from it. The hospitals and doctors doing it might not even be careless, but then, it's not bad for the government to get to the root of the matter.
A famous Hollywood doctor, Dr. Dubrow, explained how little a margin of error it has and said it's the MOST DANGEROUS surgery in the world, which is why he doesn't do it.
Ladies, stay away from BBL, most of us men don't even like it and we don't see women with BBL as wife materials, but then, some of you are already fixated on getting BBL because you're either into "runs" or you're looking for exaggerated attention from both men and your fellow women. Adewale1603: It's not an issues of managing. All these lagos building abi structures are very old buildings, so what do you except. These are the kinds of building that really needs renovation. Not the presidential houses and government houses An old structure that was built well wouldn't suddenly collapse just because it's old. That building isn't qualified to be called an old building in the sense that it's probably less than 20-30 years old. I know buildings in Lagos that are way older and still standing strong. The average lifespan of a well- constructed building is 50-100 years and would even last longer with proper and timely renovation. |

Imagine camping students in a building that's about to collapse. Thank God no lives were lost.
One of my relatives who's an engineer had to stop a school building project he was doing for his client when the woman was being too greedy with costs and not yielding to professional advice. Eventually the building was demolished.
A lot of property owners in Nigeria don't like listening to professional advice from civil engineers and builders, everyone wants to cut costs and save money where they shouldn't, but this is the end result in most cases. |

Which document would carry Adekunle gold or Simi has no surname?
Garbage report by a Garbage rumour peddler. Actually, it carries their government names, but it's fake. The stamps, text and everything there is AI generated. On the top right, the stamp is behind the text, on it is written FEBRIARY, instead of FEBRUARY. I can point out many mistakes like that but that's an obvious one lol.

OOOKEWALE: Integrity of the membership register is important. So they could validate the NIN against NIMC. You're right, but you can see I deliberately ignored the right requirement analysis to focus on the fundamentals- i.e. the NIN characters should have been only numeric, that's where I knew they just did something shabbily and it's inexcusable. I mean, even if all the knowledge you have is HTML and CSS, you could still design a website better than that and integrate with ID verification using any reasonable CMS, but the lack of fundamentals shows they threw caution to the wind. |
