SeverusSnape:APC generally, encouraged this nonsense. It actually grew to this level under Buhari and I doubt if Tinubu has the guts to step on toes in the north. Na wetin dey happen now. |
Adaisback:See your life outside... What a pity. And you guys are always the first to call the country a zoo, but see what your people are doing and you're justifying it. |
saxwizard:Good! If you look through my previous posts on this thread, my position has remained the same when it comes to Verpflichtungserklärung (sponsorship letters). I detest it with a passion cos some Nigerians in Germany are using it to milk people financially. Also there's the scam aspect which you can see yourself. Stay safe bro. ✌🏽 |
saxwizard:Also, I'd advice you remove your phone number from your signature. Seeing as this isn't an email but a WhatsApp message, it makes it very easy for various people to contact you. That must have been what the scammer saw. It's your responsibility to keep yourself safe and don't fall prey to anyone. |
saxwizard:Oh wow! These guys mean business... That's a Moroccan number, I no dey Morocco ooo 😁 Hope you can see the difference between my post and what the scammer is saying? I clearly discouraged the SL stuff, whereas the scammer is trying to prey on your desperation. This is why I always refuse message requests here on Nairaland cos I don't trust anyone. Please identify the person's Nairaland ID, send to Seun in order to have the account banned, cos they must be on Nairaland to have been able to contact you. Abeg oooo ✌🏽 |
Note of Caution ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ It's obvious some scammers are following this thread quietly and they're using popular monikers to send emails to people, especially those of us who have been active here... Please, as a rule, do not accept any message request from anyone claiming he/she forgot his email or password, cos I read something like that earlier. Let's be vigilant y'all! Scammers are monitoring this thread! |
saxwizard:No! It is not from me and I am not familiar with that number. I hope someone hasn't been using my moniker to send emails to people here. Please if anyone contacts you claiming to be Cyberbro, kindly screenshot the message, block and report the account, they must be the same set of scammers that used Sid57's moniker to mail someone earlier. I have never contacted anyone or even accepted a message request on Nairaland. Please stay vigilant! |
saxwizard:Sorry to read about the lack of funds. When you say you got "an email for appointment to apply" , do you mean you've already joined the waiting list, scaled through preliminary review and now you're to book an appointment? If you applied on the same digital portal as everyone else, there's no way you would have scaled the PR stage without uploading a BA/SL. So what exactly are we missing here? 🤔 Either ways, in terms of funding, I am a strong opposer of sponsorship letters through third party individuals, this is because I was faced with this before relocating and a lot of Nigerians in Germany will open shop on your head. If you can raise 6 months proof of funds (about N11m) for BA in Germany, you can try your luck, but there have been conflicting reports on this as it seems the embassy may or may not accept it. That's my own 2 cents. All the best. |
Ideally the Nigerian government should have nothing less than 40% stake in Dangote Refinery... But the political class in Nigeria is filled with visionless human beings who only think of their immediate lust and desires and not the future of the country. Even the 20% discussed initially, they couldn't fully secure it, just 7% was secured. How can a nation not have w working refinery, an individual built it and you still refuse to take advantage of it... It is well with Nigeria. |
motionarena:Rule No 1: as a guy, never date a woman who is financially insatiable. The type of lady you described already sees her body as a shop, so she will always cheat especially since she is always demanding. This kind girl, if you marry am for house, na 304 you marry ooo, even after 3 kids, your neighbor, yahoo boys, old men for area go kpansh am especially if you go broke. |
Softmirror:Oga carry your Biafra talk somewhere else, this is about Christian genocide in the north. Not everything is about you guys! 😒 |
Sermwell:No be only Felix, na Benson. Tell me where you saw South West or any Yoruba state in the list abi dem dey fry egg for your head 🍳😀😂 |
mukthar2000:Which one did you see there from SW? 😏 |
gumroad:If you can get a sworn affidavit of lost certificate, I think it would help your case. Better still, if you can go to the institution and get an OFFICIAL STATEMENT, signed and stamped from the exams and records office, stating that your certificate was reported lost and you couldn't get a new one because the University doesn't reissue certificates, it would really help your case. This is just my 2 cents. Good luck. |
Wealthoptulent:Ti won ba gba 3k pounds abi N4m lọwọ e, shey oo ni pe olopa abi EFCC? It's easy to say online bro... If he scammed a corrupt politician now, it would be a different thing, but 4m is a lifetime savings that most hard-working Nigerians don't have. |
Prince16:Be like you like long talk abi... 😒 |
Prince16:I don't know why you quoted me to explain all these... 😒 By the way, DSS isn't Nigeria's equivalent of the FBI, they are the equivalent of the Secret Service. Also, they can't actually see anyone's screen or picture unless some steps are taken to monitor persons of interest. I work in cybersecurity, stop saying things you don't know. It doesn't work that way even in countries with very high internet surveillance. |
Nwaikpe:But at least, he listened to people, unlike Buhari... Anyways, drag APC as you like, I no send them lol. |
Madmohamed1:You're not as anonymous as you think, keep yapping. If DSS writes Nairaland to supply your IP and personal details, e don be for you. |
Ondo state and Lagos should be on that list together na... I believe Lagos offshore oil exploration began a while back. |
brain54:She's only showing off, she's not actually broke abeg. |
If they don't get that man out of power that means Cameroonians have been bewitched. ☠️ 1 president since 1982? Even the Nigeria we complain about, this sort of thing could never happen. You think Nigeria is corrupt till you visit francophone African countries. |
fergie001:Nobody said the title was incorrect, but rather that it was misleading, there's a difference between both. In fact I was more focused on his own intent than the title itself. The man is leaving the position to a higher one, while the undertone was that he left it for youths, whereas he's contesting for a higher political office which is the senate. Besides he was still in the same office till 47 years old, so what does he mean by he's over 40? He has been over 40 since 7 years ago! He will in fact be 49 years old by 2027 when he leaves office. To me all this is just packaging and political sweet talk. |
But he's going to the senate as a higher political office that's why he's leaving the current political office. He still contested and served in office 2 years ago when he was well over 40 years, now he is 47, so this is a bit hypocritical to me 😏 The title is misleading and 40 is way too young to be considered old... Most people don't even start their lives in Africa before 40. |
chicfarmer:That 19 is even without escorts that would still be provided by the appropriate military agency ooo. |
1 service chief alone retiring with almost 20 aides and domestic staff (soldiers), several vehicles changed every 4 years, properties, huge pay offs and robust health package. Service chiefs are retiring like Saudi royals but they all failed to curb insecurity, banditry and terrorism is spreading like wildfire. This is the same country where pensioners are suffering and states are struggling to pay 70k minimum wage. . . |
ehizojieonuku:Follow Jiggernappy's advice above 👆🏽 and go with your laminated copy since he had a similar case without any bad experience, but you might have to contend with Mr. Paulinus cos that one likes to scare people unnecessarily... LOL Either ways, if you have a supplementary copy, yes please take all along with you, but as Jigger said above, nothing to be scared about. I just gave you the official information cos laminated certificates are generally discouraged at the German embassy. So good luck. |
herlonso:1. You must use a German resident as a reference person. Nigerian residents cannot be your reference person, but anyone in Germany, as long as their status is legal may act as your reference. 2. You are relocating to Germany, so you do not intend to retain a permanent residence outside Germany. Only short term visa can say "yes" but in this case, the answer should be no (please feel free to double-check this information). 3. You need to have a place where you plan to be accommodated and supply the details, even if it's just a hotel or something... 4. Intended length of stay is 1 year, so give an estimated date based on how soon you think you'll leave... For instance, you can calculate a date in 2026 June to June 2027, to make one year, cos waiting period, appointment, visa collection would gulp over 6 months... |
ehizojieonuku:As a rule, they don't accept laminated certificates. So try to remove it from the laminates or get a supplementary copy. |
LOVEGINO:Person wey don give woman belle no be small pikin again my bro... |
