LabDNA: Oga nothing go happen. Yorubas no longer enjoy the camaraderie of the general south and middle belt. They are Isolated. Easy pickings for a brutal regime if they start an insurrection. Sowore and Deji have been made examples. Sowore is now mute like a dove, while Deji is spending Xmas and new year on a sickbed with a broken skull.
I would like to know what Deji thinks of one Nigeria when he comes back from his sick bed in dubai after insulting MNK for not trying to reason with Almajiris on the issue of Biafra. How will all this help an Igbo man to be president in 2023? |

eduj: Gzi plant and. Their are four military towers around the facility, a high fence and road blocks makes it hard to take pics of the sprawling factory. Their are close to a hundred expatriates (American, Indian and Koreans) living and working in the factory at any given time. Makers of aluminum cans for Nigerian and Ghanaian breweries (exported through onne port)
I have uploaded pics of this factory somwhere on this thread. Notice the gas feed pipeline in the second pics? There are multiple gas metering and supply stations within the city. Power gas also has a little facility in the city-pics tomorrow The facility looks abandoned. Don't they take care of their premises? Aba still looks like a village. |

APCNig: Even me self APCNig, I tire with Buhari's appointments distribution. But one thing is sure, if Buhari steps on Tinubu's toes, Tinubu will pull out of the alliance before 2023 and restrategize. That may however give PDP the chance to stage a comeback and continue the looting and stealing from where they stopped in 2015. Then, Tinubu will stage a sweeping comeback in 2027. He did that in 2003 when Afenifere went and formed alliance with Obasanjo, Tinubu pulled out of Afenifere and AD. He then formed AC, later transformed to ACN and later merged with ANPP, CPC and section of APGA to form APC. Today Tinubu controls all the Yoruba speaking states including Kogi, Kwara and Edo while Afenifere is just forcing itself to have a say in Oyo because even PDP refused to accept that Afeniefre is part of them.
Therefore, if Buhari messes up, Tinubu will treat his fucckup just as he did to Obasanjo and Afenifere. Now, Obasanjo cannot even control his Councillor not to talk of LG Chairman nor State Governor, likewise Afenifere. Tinubu is old man. He has lost his mojo. He now rigs election openly to keep his base that is slipping away from him very fast. |

Christology: an ebonyi indigene will happily accept that his from ebonyi , gone are those days were ebonyi was regarded as shit ... one of the best states in Nigeria presently... It is a lie. Ebonyi people outside Ebonyi are ashamed to be identified as abakaleke people. They usually claim to be from Abia when they are in the midst of other Igbos discussing. The stigma attached to coming from Ebonyi is still there. All over Igboland, Ebonyi people are regarded as hawkers and low strata people with a strange attitude and language that does not sound Igbo. Even Nsukka people who are also seen as naive and clownish are rated higher than Ebonyi people.

ChimaAdeoye: I am not from Nnewi, but I hate when idiots like you bring beer palour talk into a forum for enlightened minds.
The same too much amamife is the reason why Federal government will not complete Akanu Ibiam international airport? What is the role of government if it cannot demolish houses built on sewer lines, or roads or indeed punish any crime for that matter? Like the typical Nigerian government that blames the citizens for breaking the law, but takes bribes from offenders and then refuse to implement the law or punish those who break the law? So how would America, Europe or Asia have developed if the government did not implement their laws and punish bad citizens that broke them? A good government is there to implement the law whether it is Nnewi, Abakaliki or Abuja!
I hate intellectually lazy Nigerians who simply categorize people into one lump because they are too lazy to understand that there are different dimensions to human behavior. I don't know why goats like you are allowed on a forum for human beings. What have you contributed to your own family through nairaland? |
Politics › Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Cyberterror: 8:28am On Dec 25, 2019 |
ChimaAdeoye: I totally agree with you that Obiano treats Nnewi like a town outside of Anambra state.
Basic things as intra-city roads in the city need to be tarred.
Town planning agencies should go around downtown areas and markets to ensure that no commercial building is extended to reach the gutters. Else the part of the building extended to the gutter should be demolished.
You cannot shriek your responsibility as a government that collects taxes from the area and turn around to blame the crazy landlords building all sorts of illegal extensions to their building.
To begin with, Nnewi deserves a real urban renewal drive whereby all internal roads in the city are resurfaced and tarred with side by side gutters on every road.
One thing that often make Igbos appear backward or primitive is that we fail to do things decently especially how our cities look. Our cities are replete with beautiful houses but the entire place as a whole often seem like a sh*t hole. We must change this mindset so that our people can begin to find our cities as decent places to invest and live.
A city like Nnewi that has a lot of industries and businesses should be made to look decent and appealing for external investors to find the place appealing. Not to leave it always to the indigenes of the place like the rogue military administrators of Anambra state did in the past. We are now in an era where we should build and develop our cities to look decent and stop making excuses about the government ineptitude. Forget it. Nnewi is gone. Too much Amamihe has destroyed the town. Nnewi is a burden and not an asset to Anambra state. |
