Politics / Re: 'Now We Realize Jonathan Was Nice, Buhari A Failure' - Protesting Northern Woman by cybertruss(m): 4:19am On Dec 20, 2021
To be honest. Buhari did not disappoint you. He promised you "CHANGE". It is you that failed to ask the type of change. So don't blame Mr. President blame yourself. May be you should find out more before voting in 2023. That is if 2023 will be free and fair. However, Nigeria should not express free and fair election.

Tinubu contesting under APC is a very good idea as he would make APC fail woefully. It is like what happened to APC in the just concluded Anambra election were the terrible Uba thought he could buy the entire state with his money.

It is good that Tinubu thought he could buy the whole Nigeria with his money. Unless the election is rigged, Tinubu cannot succeed. Tinubu will win half of the votes in SW. He would fail woefully in SE, SS and North (The northerners cannot leave their brother and vote for Tinubu)

People should not stop Tinubu from contesting because if he wins the presidential ticket, he will cause APC to crash. APC crashing is for the interest of Nigeria

We should try and call a spade a spade. Is DSS now court security. What business do they have in blocking entrance to the court room. However, I expected the adjournment to continue till after 2023 election. Mr. President have cleansed the military and war isn't possible. To be honest, Nnamdi Kanu can only be free if he denounce Biafra, or if Mr president is made to make international diplomatic mistake, or if Buhari is killed by God. The agitation for Biafra will continue whether Nnamdi Kanu survives or not. One thing is certain Nnamdi Kanu have written his name in the book of history. His fight will be remembered whenever Biafra is actualized. For sure Biafra will be actualized but I can't figure out when. Buhari converted a mere agitation to a big movement. Buhari made Nnamdi Kanu an international figure. I also expect Mr president to make more terrifying mistakes before 2023 as he would love to crush the movement.
Politics / Re: With All The Sufferings In The Land, Will You Still Vote APC? by cybertruss(m): 3:43pm On Nov 15, 2021
Take it or leave it. Jonathan performed far better than Buhari. The only fault I found in him is that he abandoned his own people and was busy working for those that hates him. If he had implemented the suggestion of national conference he would have placed the country in a better position. During Jonathan time Nigeria was growing economically despite global economic meltdown. Jonathan's error is trying to please the north.

Buhari on the other hand doesn't care about anything or anybody. Doesn't have any heart. Suppresses anyone that goes against him with all the arsenal at his disposal. Judicial system have collapsed with the Senate under his feet. He seems not to know how to move the country economically and engages in terrible international borrowing that will enslave our younger generation. Unlike Jonathan, he helps is own people and doesn't care much about other especially if you're in the region that didn't vote for him.
Politics / Re: Nigerians Can Now Apply For Houses Built Under FG National Housing Programme by cybertruss(m): 12:40pm On Nov 13, 2021
presidency:
NATIONAL HOUSING PROGRAMME: NIGERIANS INVITED TO APPLY AS FASHOLA LAUNCHES PORTAL FOR SALE OF HOUSES

· Over 5,000 houses up for sale across 34 states of the Federation, which construction generated jobs, economic growth, says Minister
· Online sale to ensure credibility, openness and reduce human intervention, underhand practice
· Encourages FHA, FMBN, to use portal, states to adapt portal for sales of their houses
· President of NGE, Permanent Secretary, commend FG, Minister for commitment to housing delivery, innovativeness

Nigerians can now apply for houses built under the current Federal Government’s National Housing Programme (NHP) in 34 states of the country following the launch, Friday of the portal by the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN through which interested members of the public could apply for allocation.

The formal launch of the portal, https:// nhp.worksandhousing.gov.ng, which took place at the Conference Room of the Ministry in Mabushi, Abuja, throws open the door for Nigerians to apply online to buy the available 5,000 plus housing units, ranging from 1, 2 to 3 bedroom bungalows and blocks of flats in any location of their choice.

In his remarks at the ceremony, which was attended by prominent stakeholders and media executives including the President, Nigeria Guild of Editors, Mr. Mustapha Isah, Fashola said the decision by the Ministry to sell the available houses online was to bring credibility to the exercise and reduce human intervention as well as give all categories of buyers a level playing field.

The Minister told his audience, “We converge here just to introduce a portal on which the National Housing Programme pilot will be offered for sale to the public. What that means is that we will not be selling printed forms, the forms are online and this allows for more openness, limits human intervention and any disposition to any underhand practice”.

Clarifying that the decision to adopt online sale of forms and limit human intervention was not an indictment of the staff, he added, “It is just to make the system more accountable and people seeing credibility if they win and if they are not successful they will equally know that the system has at least given them a fair chance”.

Fashola, who described the launch of the portal as “the end game of our economic objective”, explained that the government did not just set out to build houses, adding that the project has served many purposes, the first of which was to test what sort of houses Nigerians would like to live in so as to make policies to guide its agencies and parastatals, as well as other stakeholders, to build what could be acceptable in the markets.

“We are the policy head of those parastatals like the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and so on. We are saying that the National Housing Programme had not succeeded in the past and some of the houses built then still remain empty. So we conducted a national survey across the zones just to find out what is acceptable”, the Minister said.

The findings, he said, were that while in the Northern part of the country there was preference for bungalow and large expanse of land which encouraged building horizontally, in the Southern part, there seemed to be acceptance for blocks of flats and lack of space which made building vertically necessary.

Emphasizing that the current National Housing Programme is a pilot or demonstration scheme meant, among others, to galvanize private sector participation, Fashola explained further, “We applied for land from the states and we set out to do a demonstration or a pilot programme because we then wanted to validate what we saw and build a pilot scheme”.

“So as at today we have built 5,000 plus units in different stages of completion. We have done in Phase 1 and we have done in Phase 2 and some have started in Phase 3”, the Minister reiterated adding that the other purpose the scheme has served was to fulfill part of the objectives of the administration’s Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP).

He added, “It was also a way to implement our Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) because as at the time we conceived this programme, the country was in recession”, expressing delight that it has fulfilled that objective because over 1,000 contractors were engaged on the building sites; “businesses owned by Nigerians and Nigerian contractors”.

Pointing out that no foreign contractor was engaged in the project, Fashola added that it was not only an opportunity for nation building but an opportunity for the contractors to sustain their staff.

In his goodwill message after the launch, President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Mr. Mustapha Isah, commended the Federal Government for its commitment to housing delivery. He also commended the Minister for the innovations he has brought to bear at the national level, which, according to him, was a replication of his development initiatives as Governor in Lagos State.

Also in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Babangida Hussaini commended President Buhari and the Minister for their commitment to programmes and projects that promote prosperity for the citizens and grow the nation’s economy.

Aside the NGE President, other media personalities present were the Special Assistant, Digital/New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Tolu Ogunlesi, the Secretary General of the NGE and Editor, Nation’s Capital, THISDAY Newspaper Group, Mr. Iyobosa Uwugiaren and the Deputy-Editor, BusinessDay Newspaper, Abuja Bureau Office, while from the Ministry, were Directors, Special Advisers and other top officials as well as Media Correspondents.

It is either the houses are in the virtual world not the real world or that they were built for politicians. If I am wrong I expect them to make the portal public and the scheme accessible to everyone especially those whose earnings are below minimum wage

The only place in the south east where the supporter of herdsmen bandit is ruling is Imo State where the supreme court UNJUSTLY IMPOSED its candidate against the will of its people. The worst judgement in Nigeria political history.

Mr president refusal to proscribed the killer herdsmen as terrorist exposes the fact that they have his backing hence the party is also guilty.

The Imo people will have to flush out that parasitic imposition on the people and free the entire south east from the Fulani herdsmen indirect rule (during the next election)

What I don't know is how long they will remain awake. Will they go back to slumber? When will they ask Mr President why he is so interested in Niger republic. Recently Nigeria is exporting power to Niger republic when Nigeria do not have enough power.

I am interested to know whether our president is a Nigerian or a citizens of Niger republic.

Since Nigeria borrow heavy loans to build Niger Republic, then Niger republic should pay back part of the loan.

We have been sold by our own people. All Nigerian please help me beg National Assembly members that they should not slumber again in cases that involve national interest. Please let's all go in our knees and beg them.

I wonder who advise these people sef.

first you declared every Monday sit at home and igbos gladly complied.
even though some where against it.
you later withdraw it but it was too late because hoodlums and politicians have highjacked it for their own personal interests.
today you guys have disassociated yourselves from the sit at home but igbos still bears the effects of your miscalculations.
now you want to impose a week lock down.
tomorrow politicians and criminals will highjack it too and all you will do is to disassociate yourselves from it again and let the Igbos bear the consequences thereby leaving us at the mercy of those that highjacked it just like what we're having today with the meaningless Monday sit at home.

enough of that already.
we say NO to grounding of economic activities in the east.
we igbos are mainly business people who survives on daily income.
we cannot follow you guy's useless miscalculations again.

to me I think Ipob has been highly compromised by Nigerian government because ever since Kanu detention, they've been making so many anti Igbo moves.
this is not Kanu's ipob i know what I'm saying.
it takes nothing to bribe those in charge with hard currency to distabilize everything and it seems to be working.

enough is enough
we say no to any sit at home henceforth.

I can't be calling Buhari supporters zombies and be acting like one.
I can't be atulu sogwalu ewu.

Freedom cannot come on a platter of gold. Somebody must pay the price.

Salvation is not free as well because Christ paid the price at Calvary. It wasn't also easy for Christ himself as he initially prayed for himself not to drink the cup of suffering but repented quickly.

No king or president will free their slave to go just like that. Just as pharoach did not allow is Israeli go, you don't expect our president to listen as well.

What IPOB is doing is the only way possible to handle the clampdown on agitation by FG. I wonder who gave them this idea. As agitation continues it sends signals to UN and many other organizations. They might be silent but are not blind. That was why the international community never agreed to proscribe IPOB as terrorist organization. For sure, Biafra will come as the current government don't have the technicalities on how to unit the nation without using brute force. Nigeria, if it will remain a nation, needs a president of national unity and good economic policy but judging by the tribalistic nature of the nation, there's no one that can deliver Nigeria. People that are capable of delivering Nigeria are not capable of winning national election as majority of the people that votes are illiterate and terribly tribalistic in nature.

In conclusion, Nigeria will disintegrate in the future.

About politicians hijacking processes. It is % and an important ingredient you have to contend with with when fighting for freedom. When Moses stick turned to snake, pharoach called his magician to turn their own sticks to snake. Although this example doesn't seem to fit very well.

NB: Illustration used here is just to prove some points and doesn't mean that a repetition of Israeli exodus from Egypt is trying to happen again

We all know that Nnamdi Kanu has ordered that Monday sit at home has been suspended, however a new group arose to enforce it. Even Nnamdi Kanu don't have control of the situation.

The new group is the product of tyranny of the FG. All the current problems in Nigeria could have been avoided if FG are more diplomatic in its policy. So FG should be held responsible for all the security breaches in Nigeria.

Nigeria is definitely a failed state, I also laughed when Mr President seek the grazing routes used during colonial era before independence.

By now old laws should be abolished and only new ones taking. Citing old laws is a show of shame. Disgrace to the national judicial system

Section 41(c) of the Criminal Code Act, CAP. C77, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.”

I wonder what our national assembly senators have been doing.

Whatsoever is in that section should be scrapped or we disregard all new laws, close down the Senate as they are only wasting national resources by making laws that the judiciary cannot use

Any law that goes against freedom to break away is not good. It is the fundamental right of a group of people to decide not to be part of a society. It shouldn't be by force to be a Nigerian.
