I expected this. Now I think we are having a big issue here. Why is the charges based in the law made by the military in 2004 when we have 2019 constitution. Nigeria is definitely a failed state, I also laughed when Mr President seek the grazing routes used during colonial era before independence. By now old laws should be abolished and only new ones taking. Citing old laws is a show of shame. Disgrace to the national judicial system Section 41(c) of the Criminal Code Act, CAP. C77, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.” I wonder what our national assembly senators have been doing. Whatsoever is in that section should be scrapped or we disregard all new laws, close down the Senate as they are only wasting national resources by making laws that the judiciary cannot use Any law that goes against freedom to break away is not good. It is the fundamental right of a group of people to decide not to be part of a society. It shouldn't be by force to be a Nigerian. |
Nnamdi Kanu is an international hero created by the tyranny of Buhari's government. He has made a strong point that cannot be denied. For sure, the entire South East Nigeria respects him more than the elected governors apart from the few saboteurs that are eating national cake. Ok. Now, what's the outcome of the court case. It supposed to be televised live. |
NGpatriot:SE people everywhere cannot join the endSARS protest even in Lagos because they know that disbanding SARS will not stop anything. They are more interested in ending Nigeria Secondly, they believed those killed are saboteurs. |
Aufbauh:It seems that you aren't very good in Geography. SE isn't a plain grassland like the north. |
iamjavadem:This is exactly what I said, many of his people will ask him, who sent you. Very funny indeed. In my community, everyone was fuming angrily at the power industry. We all agreed that we will match to the power industry to air our grievances. Amazingly before we got there everyone disappeared except myself and one other Yoruba man. TO my amazement, the other people claimed that they never agreed to do anything. That was when I learnt my lesson the hard way. I and the other Yoruba person paid the ultimate price. Majority are like that. But among those majorities we have few honest and die hard ones |
Although, this might be a fake news. If it's true then I am not surprised because most Yoruba people change easily. (Eg The people killed at Lekki tollgate have been forgotten. Their blood are wasted). They call it wisdom and diplomacy. However not all of them but majority of them are like that. That's why it's not wise for one to be in the forefront of any movement organized by a Yoruba man because within few seconds you will discover that you are alone. The igbos have their own flaws as well as you find out that in the igbo community there is terrible strife among very close relatives. They kill themselves. That is why many are running away from their homes. However that trend is somehow changing for the younger generation. As they seem to work together. I am sorry for Mr. Sunday Igboho if this report is true. I hope the few right thinking Yoruba people will help him. Or he will join the list of people that wasted his blood for his people. You will be amazed when many of his people will ask him, who sent you to help us. |
One Nigeria is a mirage. It is always out of reach each time you get close to it. One Nigeria is not possible because the tyranny of our leaders will not permit it |
loveth360:Not only Aba, Nnewi is locked down as well |
Na wa ooo. Did they kidnap the cops or did the cops run away |
One Nigeria is a virtual mirage you can find in the mind of myopic politicians that has eyes but cannot see |
TheRareGem1:That's if we can be United as one people. However we cannot because every tribe has hatred and distrust. EVERYONE THEREFORE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO GO TO THEIR TENTS |
Na wa ooo. This Mr lai again wants media houe to lie. |
Producing Kanu in court should not be a problem. They can produce him and latter cliam to forget the paper for the trial or cook one terrible info and they adjourn the case to November. The terrible government |
Bighead9:If you checked the link shared above, you will see the person stated the name of the person beheaded Beheading of Gideon Akaluka in December of 1996 in a POLICE STATION in Kano So it is not fake news as you cliamed. Also check this https://www.refworld.org/docid/3ae6ab7158.html There are a lot of undocumented beheadings I witnessed as a child in kano. I am only very lucky to be alive. Till today justice has not been done. What we are witnessing today is a direct function of how conflict was handled in the past, so God's judgement have begun. I just pray our leaders can be sensible just for a short time. How they handle Nigeria will , break or strengthen Nigeria. Since human existence, brute force with military has never resolved conflict. So flexing with military muscles will not solve any issue. So all these military operations is just a wasted resources. They will only lead the movement to go back strategize and come back. That's what have been happening globally. This is why it's important we study history in school. You cannot stop a movement but you can intelligently control it without shedding blood or sending the army |
Bighead9:I didn't know that someone in Nairaland have better documentation as shown below https://www.nairaland.com/2791382/history-igbo-massacre-across-northern. As a child I have seen some bad image of igbo beheading. I was lucky because I have military protection because of the location of my school at army barracks in Kano Most of these killings took place when there was no internet so it cannot easily be found. Also check out this one http://saharareporters.com/2016/06/02/nigerian-woman-beheaded-kano-over-blasphemy |
Bighead9:They aren't lies. Probably when they happen to you, you will learn |
cybertruss:These are few of my experiences. I believed others have similar experiences. I was thrown into the ditch as kano Muslim were trooping to the mosque. I got angry and wanted to push the person that pushed me but was stopped by my parent that it will start another kano riot with killings of the igbo. In the same kano an igbo man was beheaded for pleading for mercy when a Yoruba child used Quran to clean his buttock by mistake. The mum of the child ran away with the child so the man that was pleading paid the price. What have the government done about these killings since the 90's. Also genocide was committed by the army at kanu house and government kept quiet. I don't know when or how it will happen but for sure Nigeria will divide. These atrocities cannot continue forever. Current happenings are divine judgement |
Musrataman:Talking of God's judgement. Well, it has already started. Remember the 1967 genocide of the igbo people and the way all igbo members in the Armed Forces were killed in a single night. Current happenings are God's judgement. Let's forget these old stories that happened before we were born. Have you forgotten the killing of the igbos in kano in the 80's and 90's. I could remember vividly as a child how I returned home to find beautiful building I saw in the morning burnt down in the afternoon. We received phone calls at home stating, I quote, "Nigeria is our country, the igbo and other tribes should leave." That night we moved to Jos without picking any of our properties. What about the killing of the female evangelist in Kano from RCCG. How many people did our funny court convict. The list is unending. So if you were God were will you start your judgement from It is Nigeria system that gave birth to IPOB and unknown gunmen. I hope our leaders would be wise enough for once. The current crops of leaders are the worst Nigeria have ever produced since independence although we have few great ones. Even the supreme court failed the country as they imposed the governor on Imo people against the will of the people. By now you should know that God's judgement has already started. |
My sister. This is a big testimony. Better praise God you are alive to tell the story. So many people were shot dead and were labelled as IPOB without fair hearing. You can always buy new phone. You cannot buy life no matter how much you have in your account. One-day the cup of those murderers will be full |
OyigboUpdate:Funny, other parts of Nnewi looks peaceful on this same day. Na wa ooo. Seeing is believing. |
I believe he want to change the name from Graceland to something more Islamic. Well they should bear it They elected him |
It seems that we now have unknown soldiers |
Joe Ibekwe is funny. How can he prove that the person that burnt the house is an IPOB member 1. He could be a paid Fulani bandit 2. It could be unknown gunmen 3. It could be any other person that hates him 4. It could be IPOB or any other separatist group FACT TO NOTE Seeing someone burning his house doesn't make the person IPOB In the civilized society IPOB should sue them for defamation of character to prove beyond reasonable doubt in the court that the person in the picture is an IPOB member. Well, Nigeria isn't a civilized society. That is why you see supreme court vote on behalf of the people in Imo State election saga. The biggest injustice from the country's highest court. BIG TIME SHOW OF SHAMEEEE! |
I am reporting from Otolo Nnewi, and everywhere is peaceful. Business as usual. |
Ikpunwanyianamb:I am currently at Nnewi, everywhere is peaceful. I don't know your location |
It isn't true that unknown gunmen and IPOB are the same. They are very different |
Thank God for VPN. Please FG don't lift your Ban. I take God beg you. |
Currently at 61 Nigeria is ruled by multiple Governments. 1. Some part of NE by ISWAP 2. Another is the elected government (Or as some people will argue that they are selected government by few powerful politicians and not the people) 3. In the SE we have IPOB which the people in that region love above their governors because they speak the blunt truth. However people that feed on national cake from this region hates this group 4. Also in the SE, we have the faceless unknown gunmen. Which the people fear. The faceless unknown gunmen have not made any general public statement so no one can tell much about them. 5 Fulani herdsmen: A terrorist group that seems to have the blessing of the government as government where planning RUGA, grazing routes, etc for them after shedding the blood of so many Nigerian and the government refused to proscribe them a terrorist group. This group are not ruling but are the fore runner sent to perform ethnic and religious cleansing so that the ISWAP can easily expand its territory. It is a shame that we pretend that we are one when we not. However, from my little investigation I noticed that SE violence was created by the current administration uncovered genocide at Nnamdi Kanu residence in attempt to arrest him. A genocide believed to be bigger than that of the LEKKI Toll Gate but concealed by authorities as they cleaned up evidence. The Yoruba nation have not turned violent because no big genocide have been committed yet on the agitators. However even if the government kills every of them it might not turn violent because they might deny the Yoruba nation when faced with serious threat as we experienced at the LEKKI TOLL GATE. The blood at LEKKI TOLL GATE is actually a wasted blood of real, fearless and patriotic citizens (Who's more patriotic, the citizens raising flag and crying for justice or the soldiers shooting armless citizens singing the National anthem with the Nigerian flag). I wonder if those soldiers are Nigerian. Fellow citizens I believe it is high time we look inward and see how we can live as a nation or how we can depart peacefully. The reason why I say depart peacefully is that you shouldn't hold any part by force just as you cannot enjoy marriage by force. Today's independent day should be a day of sober reflection for our politicians and leaders of the Armed Forces. I know some might agree with me and some might disagree. This is just my little contribution. |
The time you learn to tell the truth the better for you. GO AND TELL THE GOVERNMENT THAT YOUR PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO BE PART OF NIGERIA. Stop saying what you cannot do. The biggest of all battle is fighting unknown people. They don't have name, face or leader. So Mr governor who will you arrest. Who gave this people this idea This particular insecurity was created by the government. Imagine the first day of the month I cannot step out of my house because of unknown gunmen |
After studying the drama in South Eastern Nigeria I concluded that this region is ruled by 3 different groups: 1. The Federal and state governments which the people have no respect for. The people are only managing them by force against their will. 2. IPOB: The people have 100% love for this group over their governors, and president except those that eat from the treasury who should be prepared to face the music once the people wish is fulfilled. 3. Unknown gunmen: The people fear this group. The people are ready to go back to business on Mondays as ipob have cancelled monday sit at home but this new group forbade it. What makes it more complicated is that this group has no leader and so there's no one to arrest. I don't see these things coming to an end as the current government brute force approach for sure will not yield any result. |
udele1:Terrible. However your heading is wrong because IPOB have announced several times that they have suspended Monday sit at home. We currently don't know the people enforcing this. The group are yet to declare who they are. In my location at Nnewi many came out Monday morning for normal business but ran home when they had some people were killed in the morning. It isn't IPOB, however they remain unknown and faceless |
