Nigeria northeren muslim is impossible set of people. North central's hate hausa/fulani,south west also hate them and south south hate them even south east hate them. tell me what make their religion that they claim to be their culture a peaceful one yet they claim to be the better muslim group among other muslim sects in nigeria. if that is what muslim is all about then islam is demonic.

This thread, I believe, was posted here to demonstrate to the Nigerian community as a whole the power of unity and setting aside of differences. It is not news that Nigeria is split bitterly across both religious and ethnical lines.

Let me recap a few of the comments this thread has illicited,

Please allow me a moment to observe the strong antagonistic rhetoric against the north and muslims as a whole.
It exists on this forum, I'm sure everyone has their reasons though.

It hurts me to read the comments on this thread and see how easily the essence of the thread has been digressed.
With the rhetoric on this forum, if a yoruba boy and a hausa boy have a fight (as young men do) over small inconsequential issues, what do you think such a rhetoric would breed if one of these boys is seriously injured or even killed.

Let me tell you, the case will transcend a simple issue of "Where is my book?". We all know what it can become.

So please let's use this forum to make tangible progress in uniting our nation and progressing to our true potentials

First i am a Muslim (and of course Prod to be a Muslim) with immense respect for ALL religions, but the fact is that at times am not worrying at all especially with what some Christians here in Nairaland who NEVER being to the North potray Islam and Muslims, I know 80% are saying whatever they deem fit with ignorance of both Christianity and Islam and Muslims in the North.

However, for those who are having doubt regarding the pic posted on the thread, it was actually true, and initially posted by Nevine Zaki yesterday from Tahrir Square amid serious clashes on her Twitter page (http://twitter.com/nevinezaki).

I have been following the event with interest, from the BBC, Aljazeera, France24, and Press Tv through my broadband connection to livestation.com, where I was able to watch all the news channels covering the event live.

For majority of us (Muslims) here in Nairaland, many will agree with me that Nigerians Christians will never believe, I repeat Never believe such can happen in Nigeria because of what they have been told about North (majority of them from Nairaland never been there at all).

I wasnt surprised when I saw the picture on this thread, already Christians everywhere started posting same, at the time I was writing this so far over 189 sites copy same and posting on their blogs and forums mostly Nigeria.

Let me make myself clear here, as long as some Christians especially the ones in Nairaland will not get themselves educated by knowing who exactly Northern Muslims are, their relationship with others eg yoruba, igbos etc in academia, businesses and marketing infact every aspect of life in the north, then am sorry for them, they will never get it, and the shall better stop dreaming of such thing will happen in Nigeria because they already took for themselves an unknown hatred and installed on their heart without tangible reasons.

Mind you ! am not trying to clear some Northern Muslims from issues have to do with crisis, riot and serious violents, but all I know politics plays a major rule from both sides.

But I am very much certain because I have been reading what majority of Christians here in nairaland posting all the times, which shows the high rate of ignorance, it is only when they we get rid of this ignorance and undertand clearly about the nature and culture of Northern Muslims that's when we can leave peacefully, but for now there was so much selfish with some Christians here in Nairaland, where you will find them posting anything on boko haram without remembering similar group in niger delta who are Christians doing the same, I mean killing innocent people, infact what will surprise you is when you read posts with the on Mutallab, northern muslims terrorist, without finding one single post about similar Christian Terrorist eg the arik Airline Terrorist Pastor who couldnt succeed in bombing a whole plane carrying innocent people after claiming it was the Jesus who sent him, imagine.

Unless we stop posting negative views or looking at each other ignorantly, that's when Nigeria will move forward, else we will only enjoy reading achievement and progress of other nation sorry to say.

Guys lets not joke over this issue before it gets beyond control. I tried to know why the muslims are always against the christians. So i did a search via google and was suprised at my discovry. Allah warned them never to have anything in common with the Christians and the Jews. He asked them to burn the christians with fire, behead them and do all manner of evil to christians. He threatened that if they did not anihilate the christians that he will punish them. He promised that if any of his followers died while fighting ( jihad ) that he will send them to the garden of eden where they will have intimacy with virgins.
