Crime / Re: Immigration Nabs 5 Nigerians En Route To Libya by Cyborg2011: 2:30pm On Mar 18, 2011

Before you all start you tribal battles, CYBORG IS A NORTHERNER.

What do you mean ? a Northerner, tribal battles ? read my friend, if it was a Northerner you would have started talking of "Terrorist" or boko haram, but now it is Igbo women going either for "business" as usual or something else, I can't judge them by being they are Igbos, I know they are good in business nationwide, not as you judge and generalize anybody from the North as either boko haram or some sorts of names.

Let me know if you will dare my challenge, I can bring you news of igbo men doesnt worst and worst of things (From minor as prostitution to worst as cocaine dealers) around the globe every WEEK, I repeat every week.

My question is why it is mostly igbo men are caught, whenever cocaine, drug trafficking, 419/yahoo yahoo, human trafficking and any global illegal business in Europe, Malaysia/Singapore, India or China, not talking of far middle east, once they mention a Nigerian, next you will find out is Igbo man.

While on the other hand, yoruba men are doing good in business, living in peace with others eg in Benin republic, I heard many igbo are prisoned in China and India for their wave of illegal businesses out there.

See am not here to promote tribalism or some sorts, but am only reminding you about the hypocrisy and double standard whenever anything involved a Northerner, while if it involves igbo men/women you kept silent, why?

One more question, if Nigeria has really what is called "Image", or  "Dignity" in the eye of other nation who want to invest in Nigeria, tell me who is really tarnishing that image and blocking the potential chances, igbo or the northerner?

Waiting for your humble reason.

Officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service in Borno State have arrested five persons, who were on their way to Libya, the state’s Comptroller of Immigration, Babayo Alkali has said.
Alkali, who said this yesterday while addressing newsmen in Maiduguri, said the five persons were nabbed by his men in Banki- Darajamal area of the state on their way to Libya en route Cameroun and Chad Republic by road. He said one of the suspects is a suspected trafficker while the remaining four are victims of human trafficking.

Alkali added that the suspected human trafficker, Chinyere Charity Nwafor, during interrogation claimed to have lived in Libya for six years and that she came home in January, 2011, for her mother’s burial.

He said when Chinyere was reminded of the fact that Nigerians resident in Libya were recently brought back because of the crisis in the country, she said the fighting did not affect the area where she stays.

The immigration boss said all five people would be handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP) for further action.

The names of the four others are, Anthony Erochukwu, 25, Nwazuzu Ogechi, 24, Genevive Otuorgh, 30 and Ifeoma Mike, who is 18 years old.

Bawss1:

What a weekend it has been for the Japanese; first an earthquake then a tsunami and later nuclear/radiation-related problems. Phew

And you were forgotten that Americans fired Nuclear during the WWII in Hiroshima, it was the first usage of such thing on earth, and unfortunate it happened on their soil during the world war II and 2nd Tsunami, last I heard today over 10,000 have been died.

Meanwhile, I was highly impressed by the way Japanese Government shower support and non-stop monitoring, evacuation and planning around the clock.
Business / Re: 2011 Forbes Rating: Aliko Dangote Ups Wealth To 14 Billion Dollars by Cyborg2011: 4:37pm On Mar 11, 2011
It is the habit of some Billionaires of this era, I mean monopoly, and "baba-kere", last year I was in Numan, in one Indian Sugar company now bought by Dangote, I wasnt surprised when during our chat about businesses in Nigeria and some big and major potentials in sugar and cement industries one of the Indian management told me that, Dangote insisted and have so much interest in their company after intensive research by their business consultants/expert they found out that if they didnt co-operate might be the end of their business (that company) in Nigeria, so they were left without option but to parner, I don't know may be 50-50, anyway somehow now Dangote has the largest share in the company.

Being a Billionaire by forcing other to co-operate or sell their company is not a good thing at all, so whenever his name mentioned in the media I always remember what that Indian told me about him. Its pity.

For those who still blaming nitel, for not taking advantage in the first place before mtn, i don't see a reason to do so, because I really believed that there is hug conspiracy behind its total failure and sabotage from some individuals who wanted to invest in mtn, some key peoples in the countries and of course some politicians, who now sit down and enjoy the big interest from mtn.

This will never happened forever specially when number portability is put in place, switching to glo, etisalat or rel tel without changing your number.

Just give Japan few months when everything dry up, they will rebuild but give Nigeria 50 years; the one single project they started ten years ago will still not complete.

Somehow you are right, even thought many will challenge you, if I may guess the case of Nigeria might be because of around just 50 GOD-FATHERS , Obj, IBB, Atiku, Dangote, If I will count they might not reach up to 50 sep. Never expect Nigeria to develop with such people around, sorry to stay.

Case Study: Ghana and co.

Nairalanders !! Its high time for everyone to pray for Tokyo people, this is one is different with other Tsunamis 8.9 Magnitude !!!!

With a population of over 12 million, or about 10 percent of Japan's population, Tokyo is by far the country's most populous and most densely populated prefecture.

I was watching it live from ChannelNewsAsia(Singapore), my biggest prayer ever, may Almighty Allah stop the Nuclear Power Plant from boosting.

"Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan".- Google.

I will never buy the idea for Nuclear Power Plant in Nigeria, even the top developed countries like Japan cannot do anything to stop this type of Nuclear disaster, hoping it will never occur in Tokyo.

I think if we will rate the ethnic group spoiling, tarnishing, blackmailing, and destroying the image of Nigeria, in "my opinion" here they are:

1) Number 1 are Igbo Peoples in diaspora; India, China, US, Britain all most everywhere,

2) Yoruba

3) Hausa

4) Others.

If you want to argue with my point above, please be polite and post reference to your claims, then I will assume you are literate and educationally-wise intellectual Nigerian, else otherwise.

Nigerian, NE woman held for running lottery scam
TNN,Mar 3, 2011, 11.36pm IST

NEW DELHI: With the arrest of a Nigerian national and his Indian woman accomplice, the crime branch of Delhi Police claimed to have busted a gang involved in an e-mail lottery scam. Obaseki Prince (32), a Nigerian national, and Boni Sushila James (26) from Manipur, were arrested from outside IGI airport on February 24 following a probe into a complaint filed by one Rakesh (21). Rakesh claimed he was cheated of Rs 90,000. The accused told him that he had won a 7.5 lakh pound lottery.

Their victims belonged to various parts of India and were mostly well-to-do people. "Prince came to India in March 2008. Some of his Nigerian friends were already into lottery fraud and helped him start his own operations. He met Boni through some friends and together they started cheating people," Ashok Chand, DCP (crime).

Prince allegedly specialised in sending fake spoofed emails through "nationwidebank@englandmail.com". "The location of the sender is difficult to find in such spoofed e-mails. The lottery promised a windfall to the victim. Once hooked, the victim was asked to send information to an e-mail account generated by Prince," said Joy Tirkey, additional DCP (crime).

Prince used to ask the victims to keep the matter secret till the amount was received by them. He told the victim that releasing of the funds would require some small fee. To make the offer seem authentic, calls were also made by some persons from England using telephone numbers +448713159061, +447010995814 and +447045755224.

The six bank accounts used by Prince belonged his friend and co-accused Boni. "Sometimes the victims were provided mobile phone numbers in India which were usually taken on fake identification documents," Chand said.

Engineer launches rocket in Kaduna

Wednesday, 02 March 2011 00:00 Christiana T. Alabi, Kaduna

A 28-year-old graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna, Shehu Saleh Balami has launched a solid-fuel rocket in Kaduna.
Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday in Kaduna, Balami said he took interest in rockets when he was a kid.

He said he was able to invent the solid-fuel rocket with support from friends under the aegis of Movement for the Propagation of Science and Technology in Nigeria, adding that he has also started research on how to make a remote controlled aircraft, a project he intends to embark on shortly.

According to him, he produced the two rockets with 100 per cent local content at an approximate cost of N30, 000 each.

He lamented that Nigeria after 50 years of independence still relies on advanced countries for satellite due to lack of conducive atmosphere for indigenous talented inventors to strive. Balami said there was a need for the Federal Government to provide an enabling environment for science and technology inventors in the country if it wishes to attain the desired Vision 20:2020.

“If the government pays attention to local science and technology inventors and support them financially, I believe very strongly that one day, we will be able to build our own satellite or the engine that will take the satellite into space,” he said.

Very horrible stories coming out, many Nigerians were arrested by anti-government armies ("I can't called them protesters because they carry weapons"), claiming they were mercenaries coming in to support Qaddafi, Libya is no more safe for now.

Serious killing is taking place, with biased stories from Aljazeera and the western media of course.

I believe some superpowers are behind these (Easiest way to change government in order to steal Libyan oil) proxy ips were released by google, twitter and facebook, U.S and EU countries (Especially Italy) working from the shadow with the anti-government leaders to support the revolt.

While Gaddafi is becoming mad day by day, I guess he underestimated superpowers' new global conspiracy to secure oils, being day by their economic is falling, when China taking over some of the us companies, on one hand Gaddafi's pekin is inviting the fact-finding committee from Eu and the world to come and witness exactly what's happening in the country not depend on excessive rumors and lie.

This generation's democracy is something else.

I managed to turned to Aljazeera with their so called "extended coverage" via LiveStation Software.

Some points here.

1. I pray & hope they will see this 10 Month baby, Ameen

2. People should be very careful this days, if it involves having pictures, let her produce passport size, family address (village address), before one employ nanny to work for him at home.

3. This days, things are changing rapidly, without knowing really whom to trust, so people should always think twice when anything involves family.

4. I hope they have her picture, because with the spread of Internet social network, it will definitely help alot when her picture is also uploaded.

5. People should stop jumping into conclusion , and first intensive search everywhere should done carefully before posting such information on the Internet.

To be a virgin at 28 and poster refusing to sleep with her, I would like to see pictures of this girl before commenting.

No need of posting picture here, let me tell you something, people find it difficult to believe this days there are virgins, of course there are few of them in every society, I know it is hard to believe, but there is !!.

I was told by a friend a tribe in India, don't pay dowry before wedding until after sleeping with the wife and confirm it is virgin, old woman from bride's family will use white material on the bed, and she will come the next day morning to confirm.

Anyway, I know alot will argue on this, and of course some might ask what about testing the bride whether he is virgin too or not, I don't know that, but I will soon try to find more about the tribe and a website link for reference for those who will quickly thing it is lie.
