I believe you and Ayokaq are refused for same purpose which is because you have applied for ordinary diploma ( my thought). I understand why you had to apply for ordinary diploma because we are in a closely related profession ( mine is culinary management) but it looks like the VO cannot just understand reason for an ordinary diploma after a degree. I was advised by gurus here to apply for pgd which I did and surprisingly, through God’s grace, I got admission without prior formal education in the field. I am still waiting for my PPR which I believe God is working out for me. In the course of my research I discovered pgd in food that people in pastry and food can apply for. Though, your SOP will have to be tailored fully in line with some of the courses as you are into baking and pastry. I think you should PM me if you are interested we can check schools for pgd and work on the SOP together, time is limited, but with God, you can still meet up with May. What God cannot do does not exist.
I hope Ayokaq is reading this, I believe God will help us to find a way.

I was there yesterday,and I heard is available,since your interview date is on 19th ,I will suggest that when you get there first you can ask from the officials before proceeding.

64 pages is available,a lot of people are opting for that now.

Good morning all,I want to pass an information as I was at ikoyi passport office yesterday.

I overheard one of the officials passing an order to the officer at servicom to stop processing 35 pages passport ASAP as they have a lot of backlog since January due to non availability of 35 pages as they have not been supplied from Abuja.
So I recommend that people should go for 64 pages if they can afford it or go to other centre .
In addition if you are not in haste you can continue with yours.

Oggg:
1. Lagos price for new baby 26k
Other states except Lagos, Abuja and Rivers ... 11k
2. Father’s data page of intl passport with original passport for viewing
3. Mother’s data page of intl passport with original passport for viewing
If only one parent has intl passport, then carry NIN slip of both parents and the intl passport of the parent who has a passport
4. NIN slip of either parent
5. NIN slip of baby
6. Application letter, handwritten to CG of immigrations for consent for baby’s passport... father’s letter
7. Mother’s letter as above.. separate. Not joined with father’s own
8. Baby’s birth certificate copy and original for sighting
9. Driver’s licence of either parent (optional)
10. 2 pssport puctures of baby

The day you are to capture is stated on your printout however, you can go whenever you want.
I went few days after registering and paying online .
That was before covid and I was attended to.

I believe you can invite your mum through a visiting Visa, but you cannot apply for a tier 2 dependant for her because the sponsorship does not cover such. I have a friend that did something like that. She has been here for sometime while her Children were with her mum as the main Carer in Ghana. Last year she decided to bring her Children over to the UK. She applied for the children as tier 2 dependants while she applied for the mother on a 6 months visiting Visa, She noted on the application that the children will be coming with her mum.
I love UK than US, and the application process is shorter and less cumbersome.

The folder will be given to you at servicom,is for self applicant.
Once you have it they already know you are doing the process urself

For the guarantor's part I will advice you use someone that has international passport though,cos mine didn't have drivers license so I only used her data page.
For asset declaration just write any amount as cash available ,and include his or her bank name no need for any other asset declaration
Fill in the necessary details as regards the guarantor's part.
Pls do all the necessary photocopy you can do cos it's expensive in ikoyi passport office.

I'm so grateful for this thread, it was long overdue but before I say anything if you are not abroad yet and want to know how you can immigrate as a nurse then follow the link above to the other thread where you can be guided in this process.
With that being said, I will go ahead and share my little experience in diaspora.
As some of you may already know I was on route to USA through the cgfns process but had to stop halfway due to situations beyond my control. During my time off I decided to look into the UK which turned out to be a good idea because few months after I started the process I landed here. I highly recommend this route if you are tired of waiting in Nigeria, you can go to the uk and work while you pursue your American, Canadian or Australian dream. The last time I checked there is a big difference between 10 pounds and 10 naira.

1. I had no issues with immigration, Nursing is on the shortage occupation list so it was easy. my visa was granted within 15 working days without having a visa interview. my employer paid for my visa and flights.

2. I landed in Manchester UK in April and what hit me first was not the fancy airport or buildings, nah it was the cold. My teeth were clattering and I was trying so hard not to appear shaky. it was supposed to be spring but it didnt feel like spring to me though. The cold was real but what was more real was the wind. Everyone kept saying I'm lucky i arrived this period because it was warm and I was like well maybe its warm to you but definitely not to me.

3,4. Working here is different from how we do it back home in Nigeria, we have to explain everything to the patient and get consent before carrying out any procedure. Handwashing nkor? I now carry hand lotion in my pocket because of it, another culture shock is addressing my boss with his or her name. No more sir or ma, they dont even like it when you say mr or mrs in front of their name, secondly I only noticed this when I got here, Nigerians say the word sorry a lot even when it's not necessary and up till today I'm still guilty of this. When someone gets hurt the first thing that comes out of my mouth is sorry and he/she will be like oh it's not your fault thirdly, there is no doctor yelling at you here because that is verbal abuse, everyone does what they are expected to do and not pass their job to someone else. Lastly, you are accountable for all your decisions and actions.

5. Work, make money, further education, travel etc

6. To all Aspiring Nurses, make hay while the sun shines, NMC uk has made the process of immigrating to uk easier and faster, do not waste your opportunities, stop wishing and start acting on those dreams. There is no better time to start this process than now.
Ps. I'm still going to pursue my usa registration but until that time comes, let me jejely enjoy my pounds.
