Is there a reason why we age? I am thinking that for humans, advancing in age may be suggestion that human beings have a life and purpose hereafter. It is based on my observations that I ask the question why do we not remain as babies? Why do we grow from childhood and what is the reason for the transitions that the human body undergoes? Where there was once no hair would have hair and then not have hair again. We grow wrinkles on what were velvety silk skins and bodies. Do we agree that it is possible that death can be the end of human existence? I am trying to avoid a religious bent to my queries but will it not be a very shaky assumption to imagine that it all ends in death? If it did not end in infancy, and did not end in puberty, and did not end in adulthood, can death be the end? Death may just be one stage of even a longer chain that we do not know for possibly limitations of our current stage in the same ways a 5 year old may be unable to lead a war. |
ogugua88: Lol @ people complaining of mental slavery and white man's language while typing in English.Haha, exactly my point! Had I seen this post earlier I wouldn't have responded to the guy who called thread posters 'monkey'. Hypocrisy 1st class. |

eduson55: **organizationThank you for the correction on sophistication. What is wrong with "organisation" as spelt? Cheers |
Are you praying for the temptation to continue or go away? Why should I answer this question? If you asked what it is and how I deal with it, would have been more useful. Just my opinion. |
I have often come across people in writing substitute the use of "I'm" with "am". It is becoming a careless error that is gradually creeping into professional writing and it is to say the least appalling that even graduates have no clue. There was a time people would say "it's my lucky" rather than "it's my luck", etc "I'm" is the abbreviated form of "I am" so when "am" is used alone, it may pass in speech but never ever in an application to a serious organisation or employer. Never write "am hoping that..." -in an email or letter. Rather in speech, it should be "I am hoping..." -and not even the correct abbreviation "I'm". This may not affect the prices of many things in the market o but a trained and sophisticated HR recruiting unit may perceive such candidates as weak potentials - even if the contrary were true. |
dozern: @idowuswap. If u dnt repent from the unneccessary hatred u are portraying to the igbo race u will die a very shameful death. From now on, any bad utterances against this people will make the most unhappy Nigerian. As am talking to u now, evil will befall on u. I will never use because of good for nothing idiot to attack Yoruba race. This is warning, stop hatred in this NL.I beg members of the Nairalandreasonable to ignore this fella. Idowu is supposed to be a name given to someone born after twins. It is a further celebration of what Twins represent. A goat might have found it's way to register on Nairaland and named itself Idowuswap. He clearly does not represent what Yorubas represent - sophisticated intellectualism nor understand who ibos are - independent Economic Giants. |
what is IJN? The Devil is afraid of the name Jesus so he has devised a means of hiding behind abbreviations. Stop using IJN it gives the devil freedom to operate. Call it in full...IN JESUS NAME...let the devil hear it and run.
The potency of that name is never lost, however used Bro. Where is the 'Christ' in your own suggestion? You know how many 'Jesuses' dey Brazil? Meanwhile God does not joy in the death of sinners but in their salvation. So even if they were sinners in that plane, it still holds no joy whether they are politicians or not. Some good people have still yet to de. |
Once. I went into a Sainsbury store in the Humber Area of Northern England one morning. Quite a beautiful day and right there at the entrance where the newstand was was a Tabloid "Face of a Fraudster" something like that and a Yoruba name popped up. He had moved £600,000 pounds with a Pakistani fellow in a bank over a period of one year. This was in 2008 and I have a Yoruba name, I am a Yoruba guy. Had major Yoruba shame on that day. Bought the paper and left. Felt really really sad. |
Dear Lord, This place is so beautiful. Woooow. Please can you show me directions to Sumbo Alawiye's place? She passed on after our cross country race in SS1 in 1994. May I see her please Great One? Thank you sir. |
I obeyed God, left my jo to start supplies of Mattresses and Pillows on a large scale. First two weeks, I make what would have been my annual income. Now it is not about the income, it is about God's faithfulness at keeping to his promise of "remaining faithful' even if we're not. He showed me favour that has left me grateful to him for my life. The way God treasures me, is my testimony. |
@Poster, like someone mentioned, I hardly read nonsensical, stretched and unnecessarily long posts but yours was just the opposite - yours was clear, sensible and a realistic appraisal of what some call 'christianity' today. You are quite on point and I must praise your sagacity. We have forgotten the ethos and philosophies of Jesus Christ - that is why we find ourselves in this mess. Jesus had the option of riding in chariots - he rode on an as*s. Jesus Christ's had the option of being born to the Royal household, he was born to a common man, a carpenter. Jesus Christ could have been born in a palace, he was born with animals, a manger. Jesus Christ's had the option of having his disciples chosen from the learned scribes and pharisees, he chose clearly known sinners. Jesus Christ had the option of having dinner in the house of the Head of the synangogue, he went to condemned zacchaeus house. Jesus Christ could have had his feet washed by Peter the heade of the church, they were washed by a prostitute's.That Jesus Christ unfortunately is no longer whom many Christians of the 21st century follow. He has been left and abandoned. We are following a modern age, money seeking, power hungry Jesus Christ, the one of the fake pastors here, home and abroad. |

I never wanted the flight to end. I felt one hour for the height I was was too short. I was 14. As I was about to de-board, I greeted a man who responded "kaaro omo mi". He was the Late Lamidi Adedibu of Ibadan. |
Now, this is the problem with us, Nigerians. Laws are made but not enforced and instead of putting the blame at the doors of the government and those they spend tax-payer's money on to ensure the laws are enforced, we blame and make mockery of the very few ones among us who still have the decency of mind to see something wrong and report. This is a major road no doubt, so where are those that are meant to enforce the use of crash-helmet laws? Where are the road safety officials who are meant to ensure people don't endanger their lives and those of other road users? It is an anomaly to have a motorcycle carrying another and whoever captures such scene whether from a bike molue, danfo, suv, aeroplane or a moving train for that matter, should be commended in the least and not be made a laughing stock simply because he described the circumstances sorrounding his capturing of the event.
You sound pained, hurt, traumatized, disturbed, disgruntled, destabilized and perturbed. You must own an suv too. Or you own the bikes used for this photograph that has refused to make it to Fashola. |
This thread will soon get to 10 pages...there is definitely something to this song. And of course DBanj. When people de comment, Dbanj de baz de chop bar de go. I am done with the thread. Hate it or love it...this guy has something he's offering! In my earphones, you can't but nod! |
Anyone who does not think this song will be a major hit will internally regret it in a few Weeks from today. Did he say "Jazzy forget" there at the beginning? The Harmonica came in and spiced up that jam. DBanj cut out all that Illuminati chant at the start and end of that song na....lol. I know say you no de illuminati. This song - will hit! |
Myy friend sharrraap there! If Tinubu should slap that you face...*ribadu takes cover under table at the mention of tinubu* |
