Some Ngerians really don't read, honestly. This short write up yet people can't spend 2 or 3 minutes to read it. Reading culture in Nigeria is in comatose |
The kind of things we celebrate in Nigeria is shocking. While building a court complex is not bad - when are we going to start commissioning world hospital & specialist centers, top notch tech research hub, full scale industrial policies with time bound action points that will transition into 4th industrial revolution, top educational & aviation institutions etc These are the projects that drive growth & development |
I always watch the Prime Time interview of Charles Aniegolu of Arise TV that airs everyday at 8pm. Since I started watching the show, it normally record an average of 1000 views on YouTube. However, yesterday 12 June 2024, the show recorded its highest viewing numbers due to the appearance of HE Peter Obi. It had about 8000 views. That's very massive. Honestly, there's something about this man that makes everyone want to listen to him. Even his opponents and foes all glued to their TV yesterday to listen to him. Nigerians are truly yearning for good governance and I hope that we would see it in our lifetime. |
It makes no intelligent sense. It gives room for manipulation of the game. It should be once and in a neutral ground |

StOla:Are you guys normal? How are you people wired to defend all manner of absurdities? Nigeria really deserves the kind of leadership they have. Gosh. |
This man is one of a kind. I can't think of any politician since the 4th republic that's as humble and humane as him. I hope the tribunal rules in his favour. |
This is going to be an open election. Voters are now a lot more wise and measured. There appears to be an understanding by majority that election have consequences hence, the need to elect credible and capable leaders who can champion the growth & development that this country urgently yearns for. #Vote PO for a new Nigeria. |
Throwback:You're living in the past. Obi is winning the election. Let it sink well. Nigeria must be good |
yarimo:Are you sure you're normal? |
PassingShot:How's is Obi campaigning in SK a bad omen? Aren't they part of Nigeria? Are you satisfied the situation of the country is? On what basis & ground are you supporting APC? Nigeria is a great nation. We need the right leadership to steer her to the path of glory |
No doubt they will vote massively for PO. He's essentially the only choice in this election. |
KingKO22:Some of you are not redeemable. Look at the state of this country. Are you happy with the trajectory this country is heading? Have you visited Kenya, South Africa, and Egypt to see the level of organic growth and development these countries are experiencing? Why are some of you bent on recycling people that have brought us where we are as a nation? What do you gain by holding this country down? Wouldn't you want to bequeath a working and functional country for your kids? Do you want your kids to grow up and keep shouting "up NEPA? Gosh! So many questions on my mind. I weep for my compatriots. |
Peter has some serious energy. How's he able to attend to all these engagements? Man is an enigma, honestly. At this stage of our nationhood, this country needs a hands-on and mentally alert leader. I am afraid Nigeria needs to get it right this time. We cannot afford to fail this nation and the future generation of Nigerians. This election shouldn't be determined on the sentimental basis of tribe or religion. It is our collective responsibility to build Nigeria and to rescue it from collapsing. Posterity Beckons. Vote wisely. Vote PO. |
As fuel scarcity and increase in pump price bites harder this yuletide season, I just want to hear from Nairalanders how much they're buying a liter of fuel in their area. I bought for N250/L two days ago around my area in Lagos. Let's share our thoughts |
Nigeria is about to witness a transformational change. Nigerians are keen on this election. Vote Wisely. |
Nigeria is about to witness a massive change for good. God has remembered Nigeria. Vote Obi 2023. |
Politicians and their surrogates needs to tone down the rhetorics. There will be life after the 2023 elections. Everyone should campaign for their candidate in a civil tone and not with abusive and aggressive language capable of over hitting the polity. |
Impressive turnout. Being an organic crowd makes it more interesting. With additional work in the rural areas of the state, Obi can potentially win Taraba though it will be a tough battle with PDP. |
This is very embarrassing and an abuse of public office and trust. Osun people deserves better. It's high we started holding public officials accountable for the mismanagement of our patrimony. This abuse and lack of fiscal responsibility and accountability must stop. A tradition that allows government officials to loot public assets after their tenure must be stopped with immediate effect. Executive order or legislative framework must be immediately enacted to forestall the continuation of these demonic shenanigans being perpetrated by political office holders. |
Throwback:You're thinking and reasoning like a toddler. The achievements of Obi both in private and public sectors are there for every to see. In your flippant mind - academic scores is the determining factor to success in life. Most of the global business leaders today are not academic genius but they have native intelligence (which Obi has in excess) which has helped to create tremendous wealth and prosperity. |
Mandate2023:You forgot how Plateau state government shutdown governance for a whole day because of ordinary rally. Just for your information, this is welcome ride by Obi supporters not a campaign rally. |
Kagd10:From your comment it appears you've seen the CAC documents that listed his family members as shareholders. Could you kindly post the same here? Or are you ranting and accusing a man just to gain worthless likes? I await to see the CAC documents with Obi family members listed as shareholders. |
Can you imagine this? In addition to visiting Abia yesterday he was also in Anambra same day to have on the spot assessment of the fire incident there. Today he's in Edo. Man is really energetic at his age.

Since the return of democracy in 1999 there is an element of the electioneering campaign process that has become a major bottleneck to the realization of inclusive and people centered politics. This element of the campaign process has seen to the victimization and persecution of opposition parties during political rallies. It is high time; a drastic change and reform are made – perhaps through legislation in the form of constitutional or electoral act amendments. This exceedingly primitive, archaic, and cumbrous attitude for State governors of one political party denying their opponents access to public facilities for their campaign rallies and engagements is very unfortunate, retrogressive, and anti-democratic. Nigerian governors must get rid of this attitude of unilaterally coveting to themselves State public facilities and granting access to such facilities to only members of their own political party. This is shameful, and these governors need to realize that public facilities belong to everybody, and it is not their personal property. It is extremely unsettling and goes against everything that democracy stands for when a governor refuses to allow opposition parties to utilize public facilities despite their proper request and application. Funny thing is that these governors typically justify their anti-democratic actions with flimsy, superficial, and flippant reasons. If we're serious about strengthening democracy, we need to call these governors to order. If a governor has done well for his people, would you deny the opposition parties the use of public facilities while you use the same facility for your political campaign activities? Talk of double standards! This shows how most of these governors who have performed poorly in their States, tend to be paranoid and petty whenever they suspect that the profile of the opposition is strong with a potential to sweep them off their feet. We cannot continue like this. This is a nation of laws and NOT a banana republic. This is 2022 and not 1822. |
This is about the only country in modern world where the candidate of a ruling party will brazenly avoid speaking to Nigerians about his programmes and plans for the nation yet some people try so much to justify it. This is unbelievable. In other climes if a candidate is always dodging public engagements and forums to discuss his/her plans, that candidate would be considered unserious and stands no chance in the actual election. Alas, when strange things happen in Nigeria, they are somehow considered normal. If Osinbajo or Amaechi was the candidate, I'm certain they will make themselves available for public engagements despite their schedules. It shows you respect the people. Town Hall meetings provides an avenue for citizens to interrogate each candidates ideas, ascertain their intellectual acuity and thought process on issues relating to the office they seek. Sadly, ignorance and illiteracy have been weaponised by the political elites and they have continued to use both tools alongside ethnicity to divide and rule Nigeria. Nigeria has great potentials and the sooner the young people realise that it is their future that is being toyed with, the better for them. Young people your time has come. Take charge of your destiny. While voting in 2023 endeavor to do so with the future in mind and not for the present. |
This country needs a hands-on leade who is ebergetic, intelligentl and results driven. Countries we had independence with have all made tremendous progress in almost all indices of human capital development. Nigeria cannot continue to lag behind. Africa and the global community is waiting for us to rise and take our rightful position in the comity of nations. Leadership is the heart and soul of us achieving our potentials. For the past 24 years Nigeria has been struggling and unable to find her direction and path to growth and development. 2023 presents another opportunity for citizens to create their destinies. Vote wisely. Our Labour shall not be in vain. |
OsunOriginal:If you want to accuse a man do so intelligently. It is not a crime to have offshore account so far it is not a stolen fund. Obi already made $1million legitimately as at 1996 at 35 years. Obi's financial records are impeccable. Everything is well documented and they are verifiable. But the same cannot be said of your candidate. |

This is incredible. Nigeria needs Peter Obi now more than ever before. Vote wisely in 2023.

AlafinofEnugu:Why not read to understand first before rushing to comment out of point. Kai! |
