Just seeing this post.

Like someone said above, you don't need a frame if yours is still okay. Its just easier when the screen comes with the frame, you just need to transfer your motherboard and other parts (if you're technically inclined).

In my own case, my priority was finding the screen with the best managaeable dot most affordable for me. I found one with No-Frame. The scary part of removing a screen from the frame is actually not accidentally breaking the screen but the screen is bad already, there isn't anything to the scared of anymore. The only thing is you migth not get a good water-seal like the one installed by the manufacturer with i actually don't bother myself with as i won't go swimming with my phone and would be careful not dropping it in water.

With the case of Dot(Dead Pixels) spreading, it was also a concern for me and i had to check online forums, Quora, etc on previous questions based on that and i picked some points; Most answers said it wouldn't spread because each pixel is powered independently and the "black" ones stopped getting power and that "it could..." if the spot is caused by a sharp object on the screen and there's a crack above it. My preferred screen has no cracks but has dead pixels so i gave myself hope on that side .

Funny i am going to order for my S9+ too. The truth is, its easier to fix a Screen with frame than one without. I am going to compare the price difference to make my decision.

For me, with help from a pressing iron, i can swap my frameless screen.

There is no much price difference sha I think 🤔. This iron trick,make una show pesin way abegg.
And is yours with dot or line?

Unless your phone frame is damaged, you don't need the one with frame. Only buy the lcd, it should work. But to be on the safer side, obey your engineer's instruction

Thank you boss, I'll go for the one with frame to be on the safer side... Pls one more question... Samsung screen with dot or single white line, which one is preferrable... I can cope with both as phone hardly falls from my hand but I heard the dot spreads without falling...

does redmi9t don't have permanent solution to this deadbooth issue? Because my own has went off on its own like 2 times in 3days now.. though I've not open the phone before, I off my own around 1am today and want to on it back this morning but doesn't came on until I heat it with Mikano gen heat,after the phone warm then it came on again.. Boss,try rebooting when it's plugged if it will work
For me,I did hard reset and the phone Rebooted though I plugged it while rebooting it sha In Those 5 times

Ohhhh so sorry boss,I'm also thinking of preparing for another phone cause my redmi 9t after I tried the trick later went off when I updated the software and it came on after several mild heating... Then I tried rebooting to see if it is now working but NO, still the same so I heated it again and it came on so I dare not try to put it off again till later.

UPDATE
I can now reboot only when it's plugged ,I've not tried rebooting without plugging it sha

Sorry for replying late ... I heated it for 10sec and everytime it went off I'll heat it again to come up... But I noticed something which might help for others... I was using mine wen it went off and when I heated it to on it back,the phone got locked by Mi account,I pressed the password but keeps telling me “cant activate” so I searched xda forum for help and I saw two options.(1) to email their service center and (2) to wipe the phone by pressing the power and volume down button... But the problem is I've spoiled the volume down button while opening the phone, and my phone will go dead if I should reboot... So I emailed Xiaomi service center and before they reply I did the 2nd option but with volume up button and thank God it worked... After wiping,it rebooted successfully( maybe cause I plugged to charger while doing that) and it requested for the password again,I pressed the password and it unlock immediately... Funniest thing, before that the fingerprint wasn't working but now it's working well but I noticed portrait mode in the camera won't respond... I've tried updating to MIUI 12.5 but still the same so I'm still working on it... The update added the memory extension of 2gb to the 4gb option which is significant and to my surprise my Redmi 9t can now reboot successfully (I only tried when it's plugged, scared of rebooting without plugging make e no off again)...

I have a dead redmi 9t, I took it to redmi service center I was told it might be board problem and I will have to pay 54k to get it repaired. So please can I repair it, will it still work fine, and hope the issue of the deadboot will be resolved. Thanks for your inputs

i had the same issue with my redmi 9t last week and the engineer said i should change the motherboard,but the agidi and broke me went to youtube instead and found some helps. So i sent the video to the engineer to check and apply the same thing but he didnt, he still wanted me to change the motherboard. So i collected the phone and watch the youtube to check if i can repair it myself and i resolved if it wont work,i'll change my phone. The video said i should apply Flux to a certain part and heat it with soldering iron,but i didnt have so i use vaseline and iron to heat... coupled the phone back and charged it and its now working now. So you can check videos and try it yourself or show the engineer to help you do it if you cant.
