Your points are valid.

However, the point here is not about whether or not lost sim card can be exploited.

The point is understanding how two banks one with small money, another with a larger amount, same ussd pin, attempts to pull funds were made on both banks, it succeeded in one bank, it failed on the other.

The point is understanding how Access could have gone through when the guys obviously didn't use the pin.

All my other accounts, wallets and all have since be restored without issues.

The money lost is infinitesimal, but if banks are lax, you guys should stop assuming that the responsibility is on the customer.

If I had gotten a debit of just 20k on my GTB account, then this whole discussion wouldn't be happening cos then it would have been obvious my pin was compromised.

However that's not the case, so the bank is liable, and it's a good thing the person in charge seems to understand, he's not defending like some of you here seem to be doing, rather he's agreed to estate the issue to their team to investigate and make any necessary modifications.

Someone here also just reported a case of fraudsters changing the phone number linked to their account without any request from the customer, now that has cost them 1m, and some of you still want to assume banks can never be wrong?? Come on!!

I think you still don't understand something, different banks different security architecture, ACCESS BANK permits users to reset almost all other security measures via OTP sent to you Sim, you don't need to visit any bank branch before registering and using access bank app.
As for some other banks, they don't allow such, without multiple authentication factors, every system has its advantages and disadvantages.

To you, access banks architecture is a disadvantage but to some people it's an advantage. The truth of the matter is those people simply reset your details and proceeded with the transactions.

I think access bank needs to probably restrict any form of debit transactions for 24hrs after a pin reset to protect customers funds. But based on thier policy, don't even try contesting this in court except you went through the terms before consenting to the forms you signed.

Best bet had been suggested to you earlier, Sim lock, app locks, phone locks should be on your devices. Though these too can be bypassed but atleast it buys one some time.

Don't let anyone decieve you into court cases regards child custody. If it's Lagos state you won't win. But the only thing you can do is to fight for visitation rights.

NO court in Lagos will give you custody after 7 years. The mother will have custody of the child till he is 18years old.

Be ready to pay child support up to 25% of your income. Best thing is let them be and just be calm not desperate everything will work well later.

But the same child can go to the beach or pool in bikini it's not ponographic then. Well continue. Once again what do I know!

Nigerians and hypocrisy, kids literally run around some streets in just underwear and sometimes naked, some parents smoke and drink in their homes in the presence of their kids.(not in support).

Some women operate bars and take their kids to their workplace where smoking is the norm.

His only problem is sharing such online which is wrong, atleast he should have dressed her with a skirt or shorts. That's why it's good to use sense and not everything is content.

But child pornography bawo, haba, well what do I know. I've not been able to find the said pix, maybe if I find the pix I'll make better assessment and judgment.

The funniest thing about the government is that they blame speculations for naira fall. I'd like someone to tell me what forex is all about if not SPECULATIONS.

Nigeria government is useless but Binance and OKX are also thieves
It is about time Nigerians Start doing things for themselves after all the India government did banned Binance and OKX until they met with their India government demands
OKX may have delisted Naira pair but I do think just like CZ they too are dubious of the likes of CELIA can take up this challenge just like what AIR Peace is doing the aviation sector I think it is about time we start doing things for ourselves and stop depending on others

The CBN governor is a crook, that is why I wanted more of an Economist or Technocrat from the academic field to head the CBN than Ex private bankers like Cordoso and Emiefele

Useless CBN that can't go after currency speculators wether in USD or USDT but punishing innocent Nigerians

No. You get capital + interest - 10% WHT at maturity.

Thanks alot. Do some commercial banks also do this when you bid through them or they all pay your interest upfront?

Banning financial institutions that do not offer FX services and leaving the main financial institutions that trades FX is the height of foolishness.

Take down those involved with these transactions. Not cut off the whole head because of headache na.

The truth is this ban is no way related to crypto nor FX it's purely vengeful. The government is simply angry because of STAMP DUTY and other forms of charges these banks don't charge. It's really affecting the traditional banking system.

The problem is I just did the setup just few days ago and I’m new to solar system but my observation for the few days is don’t take that long for the panel to charge it let say 3hrs but once it’s evening time and I try to put it on the battery is always on either 70% or 66% so I really can’t tell when it’s fully charged.

Can you ignore the battery percentage and state the voltages at different charge levels

Why would he replace his battery soon when you don't know his load? You talking about too much charge current, what's the work of the mppt CC Bad advise tho

You do think the CC regulates current flow at the initial stage especially when the battery is depleted? Keep on misleading him. Overtime his charging current would exceed the recommended limit. How do you think some of these batteries become swollen?

Thanks for this input.

Just to put in some more context, I would not be fully utilizing the inverter load capacity as I would be using just 2 ceiling fans, a 30' TV and 2 laptops per time. Also, I believe the MPPT CC LED Charging indicator would always show the voltage on my battery while charging and this can help monitor and avoid over charging. Doubling the Battery bank is a plan in view as well.

Cheerss

2 ceiling fans!! How many watts each? A TV 2laptops simultaneously.

Hmm just like I said earlier get ready to replace your battery soon of you power all these appliances after sundown.

And you need to add the next battery within the next 3 months or so.

As per the charge current, I wasn't referring to over charge but over current and your battery will most likely swell or explode at some point because when there's no load and there's good sunlight, your charger would be sending over 50amps into the battery.

Just prepare to replace your battery soon it might not last 6months.

Plus the best you will get after sun down is 4hrs power supply if you power on your fans before hitting 50% DOD

Hello guys,

I am a DIY Solar user to be and I have bought the following Items for my setup.

1) 2 550W Jinko Solar Panels (TechLand Solar)
2) 12v 3000w EASun Inverter From a fellow Nairalander
3) 12v 200A Battery Full River From Idyllic Tech.
4) 120A MPPT Charge Controller From Gennex Technologies

Now, I need advise on every other thing I need to get to have my setup up and running (Cables, Change Over, other accessories etc. ).

I would appreciate every tip and learnings from you all. Thanks

Just be ready to replace your battery soon.

So many things could easily go wrong. Too much charging current on any day you decide to turn off your inverter, also You would most likely overdraw current at nights given the size of your inverter.

My first advice is you double the battery bank.
Secondly, a 60amps charger with a 24v system would have been better and probably cost same or just a little more than what you will be spending in total. Like smaller cable Guage, cheaper breaker etc.

Just keep in mind that whatsoever you have in mind will be different from what is achievable on renewable energy except you've got deep pockets

Plus I would have advised you got a lifepo4 battery, as it tolerates more abuse. Just make sure you turn off the system as soon as your battery voltage gets below 12.0v on small loads. The inverter you got is not optimal for lead acid as it won't cut off until battery voltage drops below 10.5v so you've got to really monitor your system

The fact is this administration policies are foreign investor friendly and due to the massive devaluation of our currency investment looks attractive. The effects won't be felt until 4th quarter or 1st quarter of 2025. The major issue is that the negative effects on the economy isn't well managed.

It would only be favorable to investors when they are able to repatriate their funds profitably at Dollar value.

Imagine a foreign investor investing 2million dollars at 450naira to a dollar last year only for his investments to be worth about 500thousand dollars this year.

Investors needs clear economic path and adequate security which none is presently feasible in Nigeria.

Nigeria can never be great, just read comments on the first page. The stipends you are paid to support the government can't cater for this calamity brought upon us.
Forget all this news let's enter market and purchase goods at pre APC Era, not hike prices and reduce it a little and claim achievement.
That's APCs plan. I told people this party would afflict her citizens for 2 years then relax the afflicition created by them and claim progress yet people would vote for them again.
If nigerians were united how would APC still win elections all over the country.

with regards to the Bolded, 9am is too early as the battery bank needs time to replenish what's been taken out of it the day & night before.
Rather than 9am, let it be anytime from 12pm or as soon as your battery bank is 100% filled

I don't think 9am is too early. Inshort for his PV array of 2.4kw he should be able to power those appliances effortlessly. I suspect the panels are not 300watts or not properly installed or there's a fault in the system.

Secondly he needs to get rid of those ceiling fans and get more energy efficient ones.

On a final note he needs to reduce his night time loads. Carry out a proper energy audit. Doesn't he use bulbs, charge phones, laptops etc. Please factor in those things too.

1 standing fan Ox Plus Standing Fan 92Watt, two 15 watts bulb and i switch on the fan from 10pm till 6am including the two bulb, occasionally 1 hp laptop for maybe 3hrs max

You should be just fine if that's all you power during the night.

Is the inverter off from 4pm to 10pm? Basically let's assume 4pm is sundown.

You need to get a more efficient fan. That fan is guzzling you energy.
