gabbytabby: A 1000naira?. You choose to be pessimistic but we know and trust that dangote is a patriotic Nigerian and has demonstrated this consistently but you Ajaero we know are in cohort with those hoping to destabilise Nigeria because they did not win an election.
25kg cement in the UK is £7.49 so we know we are not being robbed.
We believe that PMS will come down to 400 to 500 due to transportation differential. Please we are being robbed. Almost anyone can make that money working for ONE hour. How many people make 5000 naira in an hour in Nigeria? Stop all these biased comparison. |

kazyhm: Price of crude is different from price of petroleum products...... OPEC regulate crude production not the price of petroleum products........... don't be arrogant in ignorance. Let him continue to wallow in his ignorance. OPEC DOES NOT regulate any price. They only try to influence. There are so many players in the energy market that don't belong to OPEC. If you think subsidy removal will make Nigeria better then you are on your own. The real questions should be how did the cost of subsidizing petrol for almost 16years of pdp suddenly become something we pay yearly to keep subsidies on. Nobody should be quoting international prices of energy without comparing the general cost of living, earnings and standard of living. Let them subsidize Nigerians abeg, let them arrest and prosecute those behind the subsidy scam. Why would over 200million people pay the price for the crimes of less than 50,000 people. If Nigeria is so broke then let them start with themselves, why will less than 1million people get to enjoy about 25% of the statutory allocations legally and still have access to steal up to 50%. No stupid increase in wage too. Are you all not tired of this persistent rate of inflation. If you think the government of Nigeria would give you a minimum wage that will buy a bag of rice you are on your own. The moment they increase the minimum wage the cost of every commodity will react to counter the benefits. Why do you think despite the increase in wage people are still poor all over the world. That's because it's the SYSTEM. Capital punishment should be meted out to public officers who are found guilty of corruption. Why do ignorant people think competition would drive prices of petrol down and make it cheaper. Haven't you heard of price rings? How much is a litre of LPG, Diesel, kerosene? E Don come down? Why is competition not driving the prices down. It is the duty of government to regulate prices, there is no market that cannot be manipulated forget all these demand and supply theory, there is a reason why there are abnormal demand and supply curves. All they need do is create a disruption In The normal flow of things and blame it on an event. How many times will they remove the so called subsidy self. Don't be surprised that after some months or years you will begin to hear subsidies again. |

mank1234: Theoretically, both - to cover 3 days of no sun. Pragmatically, your battery should be enough to sustain your night time use (2 night use - oversized) . Your solar panel should be able to generate enough to cover your day use and also be able to refill the battery. Thanks |

Solar panels if there is heavy use during the day.
batteries if you have significant hours of NEPA daily. Just a freezer will run during the day |

earthrealm: It depends on certain scenarios
1. Battery if your bank is lithium, as it doesnt mind not being charged fully daily.
2. Solar panel if your battery is leadacid, as it likes being fully charged daily and suffers irreversible damage if routinely left uncharged for extended periods.
3. Solarpanel if you have oversized day time loads, this works best with lithium battery OK thanks |

durodee: Nothing lasts forever. Normal wear of the parts in motion is my thought. However,I have used inverter for 2-3 years straight atimes . Usually I plan towards @5years of use. After that, I am ok with anything that happens. I always look at it this way: how long can I expect to use a petrol generator 24/7 before changing the engine As long as the inverter lasts longer, I am ok 2 to 3 years without ever turning it off |

Can inverters be run 24/7 without shortening it's life span. Please note I'm not talking about the batteries but the inverter itself. |

Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dacool1(m): 6:38am On May 11, 2023 |
olopan: The output of a MSW inverter is square like in nature meaning it transmit noise together with it, making your appliances to burn more energy and converting the not so good part of the sine wave to heat and noise of Frequency which is noticeable with fans. Really. Thanks |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dacool1(m): 10:23pm On May 10, 2023 |
Good evening House, why would same load consume different energy/power when using different brands of inverters?
I have a PSW inverter and a MSW inverter which I alternate. I discovered that the consumption of my battery using the PSW is more efficient. Initially, I thought it was the MSW inverter using up the excess energy but I was surprised when I measured the (output) energy usage while connecting the same load while using the modified sine wave inverter the energy used by the same LOAD (output) on the PSW. The energy used by the load while on the MSW is twice of the energy used when on the PSW. |

stuffs2002: Good morning gurus in the house,
I have six 250W solar panels connected in series/parallel to a PWM charge controller as shown in the top diagram.
I got an MPPT charge controller but I intend to have the six solar panels connected in series so as to maximize the output of the solar panels. If the panels are same voltage, then I would suggest u stick to ur initial pwm settings for better optimization on the mppt controller |

olopan: A BMS would completely shutdown in certain conditions, at other times they would keep working.
1. If the charging voltage is high and the cell voltage reaches the cut off voltage then, it will either shutdown or just cut off charging there by making the battery still available for use as only inverter. (i could be wrong, as i have less experience with DIY LITHIUM) Thanks |

But under what conditions are you looking at that will trigger such response? Thanks. I was wondering what would happen should BMS shut down in order to protect the battery. |
