meobizy: I don’t debate on Nairaland. It is a waste of time. I’ll stick to my belief and you’ll stick to yours.
There is no debate. We believe the same thing. But I also believe there are some very wealthy evil entities who operate in poorer countries to entice people with money to do evil. They don't pay every one, but they pay enough of the people to keep belief in "money ritual" going!
meobizy: Pointless example. Why Satan never make any agbepo wealthier than Dangote, even if na by mistake?
Same reason Satan (and his agents) won't give you money if they can deceive you to do evil for free. Also they don't have unlimited money. The "Satan" we'er talking about could be a rich racist trying to destabilize a black nation with money. Years ago a yahoo boy told of how N5m was mysteriously deposited in his account after he did some heinous things he was asked to do - and people thought the money was from yahoo
meobizy: That Africans strongly believe a murder will manifest into money will always baffle me. Since you strongly feel it will work, why not sacrifice a dog, cow or goat over the matter? Yes, the money will be little but it will be better than nothing. Why risk decades in jail in a country where no one cares about the life of a lesser animal? If you get imprisoned, what will happen to the money?
So if I have billions (as devils do) and ask you to kill a human (to promote evil in the world) and I'll give 100m, you'll instead a dog? Totally meaningless
AngelicBeing: Hahaha ,my 180 years old Lion below 👇 says otherwise 🤣
😅 So true and my modus operandi, which is why I regret the accident. Believe me, it was totally an accident I gave a fucķ what you think, now I'm asking nicely, GIVE ME BACK MY FUCĶ!!!
I was drafted to run for president. I didn't go along with it because I didn't think Nigeria was ready for a female president, also I didn't think that party had any chance of winning
I like the fact that you attached the screenshots here and paid attention to the comments. The comments sections of Internet platforms such as YouTube or IG can be very revealing with user-generated feedbacks. It would do well for the CBN folks to fine tune the NRN accounts program and remove any inefficiencies.
It's better for Diasporans to stick with what's currently working (and a little more efficiently in terms of funds transfers and investments). If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Nice thread.
Thanks and thanks for your response. You have to be careful with the comments though, because many of the comments, especially fawning comments, can be from vested interests or AI (in this case CBN-sponsored)
collinsbaba: That's a powerful perspective on attachment and purpose. Building on that, it's important to recognize that true fulfillment comes from aligning our actions with a deeper mission rather than clinging to external factors that can change or fade away.
When we attach ourselves to people, jobs, or institutions, we risk losing our sense of self when those elements shift or disappear. However, when our foundation is rooted in purpose, we remain adaptable and steadfast, no matter the circumstances. Purpose gives us direction, fuels our resilience, and allows us to view transitions not as losses but as stepping stones toward growth.
This mindset fosters emotional independence and empowerment. It encourages us to engage fully in relationships and commitments while maintaining the wisdom to let go when necessary. In essence, attachment to purpose grants us the freedom to evolve while staying true to what truly matters.
segcymoor: Parents should to be conscious of this too
Such is the essence of living..
This life is one kind. We're born thrown into a rat race and we never really catch our breath long enough to question the whole thing. if we can somehow impart on our children to see themselves as being NOT part of the rat race and just observe it with bemusement, doing only things they find fulfilling and satisfying, while always striving to be the best human being they can be!
Konquest: I commented on this thread page earlier in January 2025.
I want you to head on over and watch the insightful and detailed video explanation of the CBN initiative for Non-Resident Nigerians (Diasporan Nigerians) right BELOW:
CBN's new Non-Resident Nigerian Accounts, what it means!
Thanks 4 the link. See some of the comments below. So basically the difference is that you can open and fund the account from abroad. But they need your proof of income and proof of residence. My take is that it will make it easier for governments to keep track of you and your money and I don't think that's smart. There is a reason people put their monies in Swiss accounts
AbuTwins: Abeg which kind custom is that for a brother to sleep with his brother's widow to produce offspring for him even if he doesn't want to?
Na by force?
And it's not only Onan! The father later slept with the same woman pretending as an harlot and she got pregnant. He wanted to punish her untill he realised he was the culprit.
God punished the sinful first son with death! God punished the second with death! The father committed adultery and incest but was forgiven!
How is such fair?
Not only that, the Messiah came through that their offspring! Just as, of all David's wives, his successor Solomon came through Beersheba. God's ways are NOT man's ways!
vRendoh: Those lovers of Turkey wings, why una never ask wetin happened to the breast and drum stick? Why white man only sell that wings to una,?
Hmmm... never thought of that. That's actually a very good question, especially as it NOT white man but Chinese selling them... but HOW can they fake turkey wings... or maybe they can..
FashionCookie: They all look yummy. Fish...no...chicken. No, ALL!
That's what's killing this country:; GREED! You want everything for yourself instead of letting your sister steal a little too. How can you possibly want all? ALL?! That's why when people are elected instead of choping and letting others chop too they want to chop ALL. Or someone like Obi who will not chop BUT will also not let others chop. Which is even worse. If you don't want to chop that's your business, BUT DON'T PREVENT OTHERS FROM CHOPPING!!!!
Akalia: I understand the point you are trying to drive home. In the context of your narrative I want to believe that the couples had no love for each other in the first place. I want to also put it to you statistically that financial struggle has destroyed more marriages than the status of being super rich has.
Hence the qualification, BEYOND A CERTAIN AMOUNT. At the Davido stage having more money will not help a marriage, and may actually hurt it. Nor will it help in finding someone who loves you for you, and not because of your money
Akalia: madam love is not enough in marriage. I am married and believe me you when I say that money is good in marriage. I suppose you are not married so you have no idea what I am talking about.
Point is, beyond a certain amount money is irrelevant or bad. Examples abound of couples who were happily married until they won a lottery, or ultra rich who got divorced
DigitB: Dangote and Musk are well taken care of. They traverse seas and oceans to knack random pvzzies whenever they wish.
But no special someone like Chioma. That's what you folks don't understand, money can't buy you someone YOU can love who'd love you. You can have all the money in the world but the one person you want doesn't want you. Or your children don't love you - example, Elon's daughter below disowned him!
EnglandAmaka: And the Mumu manager go record the call. Wetin man do man
This Nedu is passing through a lot at the moment.
I really feel for him.
Saidaboj sha fine tru tru. I wish i can mention VDM here and ask him VDM you dey do man?
Akpi where are you? Come drag VDM like Burnaboy
On the flip side, Saidaboj should just keep her cool, na the podcast interview blow her. If not for Honest Bunch some of us wouldn't have known her. I'm sure many Nigerians didn't know her before then. So, Nedu still help her grow her brand
Akpi wey dey do.man sef. You don see am with woman b4?
