Impossible, 4.9 very possible in my own conclusion too. The problem is that of number error. Instead of 4.9, they declared 4.99.

now we are on the same page. 4.9 POSSIBLE, 4.99 ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE.

In GP computation the 0.09 DIFFERENCE IS VERY VERY CONSEQUENTIAL. And has a lot of meaning, that is why academically we judge based on CGPA gotten from the transcript!!!

That has been done somewhere in this discussion.I just gave a tip of how it is done. I worked on assumptions because i do not know for sure his performances at various levels and CU's style of computation, and the number of courses taken by CU's accounting students.So, i expected that you would provide further insight hence you do not believe he would get a CGPA of 4.9.

Very possible. But 4.99 almost impossible without any aid.

Let me give you this again. This is how GPAs are graded in most schools in Nigeria.

1 unit=6 points
2units=10points
3units=15 points
4units= 20 points

An A=70%.So, someone who made 90% in a course and his mate who made 70% will be in the same grade of A.

So, if you make an A in a one unit course you get 6 points and so on.

Assuming this guy took 50 courses and made 49 As and a B, then there is possibility that he may graduate with a CGPA of 4.99

OBVIOUSLY YOU ARENT INTO ACADEMICS. GO AND SIT DOWN FINALLY! YOU COMMITED A FALLACY OF HASTY CONCLUSION

Teach me, i want to learn. Prove it that it is impossible to have a CGPA of 4.99. I am not interested in his GPA; which is what he makes in a semester or session. He probably must have made lots of As and maybe a single B. I am concerned with his overall performance, reflected in his CGPA. And that is the bone of contention.

Even if he gets a single 'B' all tru, how many courses did he do?
how many credit load was it?
and what is the total credit load he did? ALL THESE ARE COUNTERS TO THE REALITY
