You are the one assuming that they contact banks to confirm if the money is still there? How can banks even be divulging information of their customers to 3rd party. We all might not know exactly how the verification is done but when you apply logic, it will be easy to eliminate some options. Especially when many ppl have successfully gotten PPRs after pulling out their funds immediately after submission

Morning Everyone, My Dad was issued a Canadian visit visa yesterday but would not be able to go to VFS Global Lagos until January third week to pick up his passport . He is engaged with multiple commitments in the village now. He mentioned they asked him to come and pick up the visa within 7 days or else the passport would be returned after 30 days. Please is there anyone or number at VFS global i can contact to ask them to hold his passport till Janaury 3rd week ? I would appreciate. I have tried scheduling visa pick up appointment but i noticed i can only schedule for Biometric or Passport Request submission. Thanks to everyone that can advice ?

please any advice will greatly be appreciated...I received an email from ircc saying "we need something from you to continue processing your application" and when I called the agent to check what message it was .she said ircc requested for an affidavit stating that I will return to my country after visiting Canada... please has anyone here received something like this.

We humbly ask gurus in the house to help decipher the best way to approach this visa application My wife and I have extensive travel experience, currently holding valid UK, US, and Schengen visas that have been actively used in the past year. However, our recent attempts to travel to Canada have been complex.
In 2018, we obtained Canadian visitor visas valid until 2022. Due to work commitments, we were unable to visit from 2018 to 2020. At the time of visa issuance, we had limited connections in Canada. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we discovered we were expecting a baby and decided to give birth in Canada, where both my wife's sister and my sister's family had relocated. This choice was made due to the stronger family support system in Canada instead of the US.
While my wife faced no issues entering Canada, I was flagged and stopped during my connecting flight in Berlin to Toronto. I was questioned over the phone

- [ ] How long will you stay? 3 weeks
- [ ] Are you employed ? Yes , with will be working for home while in Canada
- [ ] Do you own your home in Nigeria ? Yes
- [ ] Is your spouse in Canada ? Yes visiting her sister too
- [ ] Is your spouse accessing health care in Canada ? Yes
- [ ] Are you expecting a baby ? Yes
Then he said please give the phone back to the attendant then she told me to contact immigration services as they haven’t cleared me to join the flight because I had a US visa so I changed my flight to connect the US and the plan was to go to enter through the land border in New York at least that will be a face to face conversation with the visa officers. On landing US my baby had already arrived and i called IRCC but the kept telling me they have not issues on case while left me confused . I just lost will power and came back home

This are the big questions?
- [ ] Was I stopped because they believed we will not come back ?
- [ ] Was it covid restriction becos this happened at the semi peak of covid ?
- [ ] Was it because we didn’t declare our intentions clearly on arrival ?


Fast forward to today by baby and wife are in 9ja and ALL bills paid with receipts, she didn’t overstay , we have more family in Canada ,I have 2 siblings and family (9 people ) my wife has 2 sibling (2 people ) in Canada. ,
we are preparing a comprehensive application pack, including:

I received this today. The content of the Correspondence letter is (RE: validity of your biometric information).

It says on the first circled blue that final decision was made today 15th December but it went on to say "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made". Please can anyone help to explain? Because the Correspondence Letter didn't say anything about decision.

Please can anyone help me with a number to call the Canadian embassy. I made a family application and submitted our passports for visa stamping on the 1st of December. My wife and I received our passport back on the 8th of December, but till now we are yet to get our son's passport back. The VFS tracker still says it is under processing at the application center. The thing is we have a trip to the US on the 25th of December and our son is only 2 yrs old, so we cannot leave him as there will be nobody to care for him. I have sent IRCC several emails but no response apart from the auto response. We have till the 22nd to get the passport back. Has anyone else been in this position? I wonder why the passports were not returned together because all 3 were received at IRCC together based on the notifications we got. Is it because Kids do not do biometrics? Anyone with a number i can call for the embassy, pls share.

Yes someone living in the US can sponsor the parent even with US Bank account ,during the application process let them put US refusal history if there is any,they can make use of hotel bookings if they have nobody in Canada

Hello House,

I am about applying for Visitors Visa with my wife. My travel history includes USA (Once), U.K (Twice), S.Africa (4times) and UAE once, whilst my wife has visited only the UK and Dubai with me once. I am the main sponsor and intend supporting the application with a POF of 9m for both of us. I have a landed property and good job ties.

However, my concern is that my US visa was refused at the point of drop box renewal few years back and the only running visa I have for now is 2yrs U.K valid till 2025.

I hope the US refusal won't work against my application. I will appreciate your responses.

Hi everyone, please I need your inputs on the new ircc portal. If the bank statement I intend to upload is too large even after compressing how do I go about this? Can I transfer funds to savings account where I will have few pages to upload and explain to the visa officer that the funds came from my other account with proof? or send the bank statement using webform (does 2mb rule apply to webform? ). TIA.
