Military, Police, NDLEA, VIO, NYSC and so many other public institutions will just want to extort you. Even FRSC sef that is supposed to be safety conscious will be jumping on roads or dragging steering with drivers. Customs and Immigration will be asking you for papers their incompetence already allowed into the country. It's just a mess.

The headline of the news is what is misleading. He actually desolved the constituted management board members of the commissions. The last paragraph of the news article whick I quoted below clarifies my position:

One of the sad realities in Nigeria of the operation of our security forces (Military, Police and otherwise) is that many a time, many innocents will be collateral damage for the choices and decisions of a few guilty citizens. I'm sure till now, the entire community will still be bearing the consequences of the murderers of the soldiers, just like these elders are collateral too.

They keep saying this, but can they enforce it? It will take a lot for the NPF to build trust with majority of Nigerians, because it has even gotten so bad that some people are scared of reporting a crime or basically just see the police as an enemy instead of a helper.

That's sad. Always thought public service jobs has security, and that it's usually the erring heads or senior officials that should take blame for their errors (I mean if the senior officer erred), but knowing now that an entire commission's workforce can just lose their jobs just like that for the mistake of someone else is scary.
