Damn!!! 😮‍💨

Even the blind can see the rate of inflation in the country

Happy birthday to him 🎂

But he doesn't bring me joy and I don't want to speak bad about someone on their birthday.

Some economists have been saying this for a while now

key word "we were not forced"

It's the truth

I greet all the teams wey fall hands today.... Arsenal no gree play goals, Bayern decide to lose, abi na Liverpool etc... Una try this bloody Saturday wey men still dey look for detty December money. Well, we were not forced.🤷🏿‍♂️

Tomorrow is another chance.

Congratulations to Seplat👏🏿.... But I didn't know the thread wasn't about them, but instead a thread about politics.

Damn!!! Don't know if the man na panel beater abi na boxer.

I think a campaign just started recently by the NOA on gender based violence. They should take this up, but I'm not excusing the woman's behavior, especially after just 7 days that is even supposed to be honeymoon sef, unless na Benz make her marry the man.

BOG202:
A proper investigation needs to be done.

Exactly!!! We await the response of the MDAs who will look into this.

Please add human capital development, this aspect has been neglected in the FCT, is not only capital development that makes a city oo

That's what the 'etc' covered in my statement. May the next generation see a different and better Nigeria than ours.

alanto:
It's that simple. Lagos has embarked on even bigger projects since then but this is not supposed to be a government project it's private partnership thing.

Yes, it's a PPP thing but it states that the government will provide the land and the amenities the doctors need and in return the doctors will spend some of their time in Lagos sharing their expertise. My gripe is that it took long for the government to live up to their side of the bargain.

But it's a good project and worthy of emulation.

Tinubu2027Agend:
He is doing that too.

Say another one.

Good then. Will love to see and read more about those too. I know about the markets but I sometimes think most of Nigerian leaders either neglect other vital sectors or input minimal effort. I hope to see a new look Abj when I visit next month/year.

R.I.P.

May this not destabilize the area🙏🏿

Okoroawusa:
Such projects are usually Public -Private Partnerships(PPPs) so to get the right investors take time. Trust Lagos to follow things through. Everything has been planned. That's why in Lagos you have to be careful where you buy land.

It took a really long time. From Tinubu, To Fashola 8 years, Ambode, Sanwo Olu and still not much progress. Let's hope a lot of people who knew about the project get to see it in their lifetime.🙏🏿

This is good and worthy of emulation🙂

If what, the OP said about the history of the project, then it's shameful that for almost 2 decades, it was all talk and no work. Nigerians need to change this stereotype of not following up on projects, or outright abandoning them.

I honestly think that road construction is good but am I the only person that thinks governance goes beyond just road construction? What about health, education, security, waste management, agriculture, enabling environment, FDI etc

Knees still get hope na... it has brought Nigeria down flat.🙄

There is a reason that this organization and others were established, but they seem to work in a selective manner to tackle corruption with some of them even being part of the corruption they are supposed to checkmate.

I want to believe it's purpose is for enhanced security, but are we really achieving results through it? Are the people more secure?

Funny enough, almost on a yearly basis do we hear from various security agencies about ban of checkpoints😏... Nigeria should be a course of study to truly understand.

It's a bit shameful that this cycle of darkness is still a thing, and we are going into 2025. I know it's supposed to be a gradual process, but in this day and age, I expect to see about 60-70% of the country getting about 15hrs of power daily, but even that seems a long way off not to talk of regular power supply for the entire country🙄

Good if true, and not subject to certain 'T&C's'🙂

But, so all these years, they have been using just 3 airplanes? 😮

Some monikers here just log out and come as guest to peek if there is anything to feast on.

If there was something meaningful to discuss, then I believe many insightful, smart and wonderful contributions will be made on this thread by a lot of people, not all these constant trolling, banters and what not, which defeats the purpose of this once wonderful thread.
