@justwise, giselle237 and others Advise on supporting documents for Global Talent visa application I have 5 dependants but intend to travel alone. On the visa application website, only the following were mentioned as required documents - Int’l Passport - Endorsement Letter -TB Certificate However, upon completing my application and paying IHS and visa fees, a checklist was of required documents for my visa appointment was generated but none of the documents above were mentioned (although there are blank space for me to list additional documents I wish to provide). The documents listed on the check list are: 1. Information about your visit Documents showing any plans you have made, such as: tour details / flight details / letter of invitation / evidence of sponsor's immigration status in the UK 2. Home address Documents showing where you live, such as: Property deed / mortgage statements / tenancy agreements / accountant's letters / land registration documents 3. Money (either income or savings) Documents such as: Bank statements / bank books / bank letter / balance certificate / tax returns / crop receipts 4. Evidence of assets Documents showing that you own property or land, such as: Property deed / mortgage statements / accountant's letters / land registration documents 5. Additional Information Evidence of family members remaining in your home country whilst you travel. Keeping in mind that it is a global talent visa application where I already have endorsement, are these documents listed on the checklist compulsory for me or should I just stick to the three mentioned during my application? Moreover, what type of documents do I need to for items 1 to 5 in the checklist? I have my appointment booked for 13th September |

@justwise and others in the house I am making a visa application and have gotten to the IHS payment page. A friend in the US has been trying to pay on my behalf but keeps getting “payment declined” error. Help! |

@justwise, giselle237 and other knowledgeable elders in the house I would appreciate if you could assist me with useful info regards my case So I was in the UK for about 6 years (about 5 years for studies and about one year for work on Tier 2 visa). I have been back in Nigeria for 2 years now but I have gotten a job offer in the UK and hope to go back. I am now at the tb test and visa application stage. However, I read that I am to come along with my UK address when I come for the test. I also saw in the visa application form that I need to provide my UK address too. The problem is, I don’t yet have a UK address as I intend to first stay in a hotel when I get there then look for a rented apartment afterwards. So what should I put in the UK address section for the visa application and what address should I use to attend my tb test appointment? Also, while I was in the UK previously, I used to visit Nigeria like once a year or so and also visited other countries. The issue now is, I need to provide information on how many times I have visited the UK (with dates). Should this be the length of my previous UK visa or each time I re-enter the UK after visiting Nigeria or another country? Lastly, a section of the visa application asked whether or not I have received medical treatment in the UK and when (with dates). This in my view is a difficult question. What is meant by medical treatment? Is it any type of visit at all to a GP (UK clinic) or maybe undergoing operation or surgery? Because I remember that sometimes I will visit the GP for very minor health issues and a medication would be prescribed fir me to buy or nothing prescribed at all (just general medical advise). Now, do I include all these encounters with dates (which I can’t remember) or what do they mean exactly? Your helpful inputs would be appreciated. Cheers |

Guys For all of those have issues with their delivery through NIPOST, I suggest you keep hammering on the issue on places like Facebook and Twitter and make sure you tag the communication minister Isa Pantami each time. Am sure he will take it up when it catches his attention. He seems to be a responsive minister and NIPOST in under his ministry. Good luck! |

This news a trailer load of Lagos returnees turned back in Niger is not true It happened around 8.30am today along Minna-Bida road in front of NECO HQ The trailers were two not one and they were both allowed to pass through and entered Minna town with all those on board They were initially stopped for about 30mins but then allowed to go. No testing of temperatures or quarantine whatsoever of those on board Also, no escort followed them or anything. They were just allowed to enter Minna just like that. I even have the video but can’t upload the video on Nairaland but see pictures below

customised87:Regarding sponsorship, which would you recommend? Should I sponsor, or should they be the sponsors? For the job letters, did you mean first appointment letter or this and all promotion letters? Whose payslips, mine or their? How does my sister fit into this? Their property documents or mine? Their photographs? Invitation letter from me or my university? Which visa should they apply for? |
@justwise and other gurus in the house I plan to invite my family members to attend my graduation in the UK this July. The target attendees are my mom, dad and sister. My dad is a retired professor and my mom a lecturer. my sister isn't working yet and she is over 20yrs. Which visas should they apply for? Do any of them need to show evidence of possessing a certain amount of money? What and what do they need to apply for the visa? What and what should/can I do to support their visa application? Do I need to evidence of any funds I possess? Your response would be much appreciated. |
