Dude is owing AMCON billions of naira and is partly responsible for the sack of quite a handful of bankers during the 2008-2010 banking crisis. We are also quick to forget how he scammed the Cosmos Maduka and was responsible for the removal of Cosmos from the board of Access Bank and write off of about 40billion naira in bad loans in 2013- 2014 thereby eroding shareholders funds in the bank.

He is also one of the oil importers responsible for the large scale subsidy fraud transactions ever recorded in the history of Nigeria and yet some Nairalanders are praising him. As rightly mentioned. It is one thing to donate, it is another for the cheque to clear.

I now understand why we can never move forward as a nation if we continue to accommodate such persons of shady and crafty character. In developed nations, personalities that have committed just one tenth of what this man has done don't even get to see the light of the day. The other day he worked into a live match and slapped the referee.

We still have a long way to go. Our emancipation is more of a mental one than physical. God bless Nigeria

God bless you for this.

And this same man is still owing capital oil workers more than 4months of their salary.

I was expecting to be called out, and I rightly was. Wanted to say something out of place and that came to my head, coupled with the fact I was watching the video of that song at that time.

Thanks Bro. and like you said, yes I've been the almighty giver in this relationship, and that's cos I'm a guy dat doesn't really like collecting from my partner, instead I believe I shld be the one giving. And I've been doin this just to ensure she's happy and comfortable so as not to start looking outside.

There lies the problem...

jideniceguy, a lady that will not take into consideration the finances of her bf before making demands is not fit for a wife.

I sense you've been the almighty giver in this relationship, and stopping will definitely end your relationship, no two ways about that.

Understanding and tolerance is key in every relationship, and if that doesn't exist as it seems, find your way out and spend your little money on yourself and development.

Nah Mo! Nothing to apologize for. I understand you too.

You see, there are many people who have been with a particular coy for 15 years, probably because the management style there is favorable and they are progressing on the ladder of the organizational structure. But unfortunately, this man isn't in such environment I guess. I don't see anything wrong with him being there for 15 years since he hasn't been sacked, his pay should have been increased because clearly he's adding value no matter how small.

The security guy in my own place is from Borno. I engaged him in a convo while teasing him and calling him Hausa man! but he strongly refuted and told me he's not Hausa, and I'm like you're from Borno state na! The deeper I pressed, he opened up to me that Boko haram bombed his entire family at home and he escaped to Lag. Only him survived.

He wasn't employed to man the gate because he has a degree or school leaving cert, I asked the manager and he said, his decision not to join bad company back in Borno and here in Lagos is enough to encourage and compensate him with a job.

This is the kind of bourgeoisie I admire, not someone capitalizing on the 'weakness' and dependency a disadvantaged adult has on his superior.

Amy this is hilarious....in the context of bourgeoisie manipulation, this bourgeoisie merely opted for cheap labour and one that will remain loyal and controllable, still the antics of a typical bourgeoisie.

There are no good or bad bourgeoisie amy...

Can someone explain in clear terms what the VP is offering.
If the hike is as a result of none access to forex, does it mean that the more dollars rises at the parallel market, the more the price of PMS shoots up? I don't even understand again.

The VP is only saying Nigeria don't have enough dollars to bring in fuel via NNPC anymore, so you and I can bring in fuel now by sourcing our dollars from anywhere. This will ease off pressure from our foreign reserves and NNPC, and also make the product readily available as it is a profitable business.

Also, the govt in a bid to protect the masses, put the maximum price at N145, because people can bring the product and want to sell for as high as N250, but the govt having calculated every cost is saying reasonable profit will still be made at N145, so don't sell above it.

Comprehension is a problem.

FG says Fuel shouldn't be sold for more than N145 to protect the masses, they didn't set a price. But Nigerians, being who they are opt to sell at the maximum price allowed.

What exactly is it with Vanguard and distortion of information?.... How do the words of the VP above translate into this title Vanguard has just published?

These guys at Vanguard have proven and re-proven themselves to be anarchists knowing that Nigerians only read titles before airing their opinions. Meanwhile these exact same words by the VP were reported by almost every other media house (including Vanguard) in the past 3 days, but fast-forward to Saturday, Vanguard now thinks the exact same words deserve a new interpretation and title.

This was the same Vanguard that heard Buhari say in a campaign:
"It is not good for the 1 dollar to exchange at N230"

And the next day Vanguard reports:
"I will make N1 = $1"

Now the VP says subsidy removal isnt the main cause of the hike, but rather, the high exchange rate is responsible since marketers now have to source forex at the parallel market.

But of course, Vanguard has a better interpretation of the above simple statement:
FG Has Not Removed Fuel Subsidy

God bless you.

Charity is the greatest of all.

You want to pay tithe while your brother stays home because of school fees? - ask yourself, what will jesus say? - in all of jesus miracles and teachings, where did he shelf love for the law?

How can you say you love God, if you cannot love your brother enough to pay his fees? And who said that tithe must be paid to the church?

My advise, pay your brother's school fees. Showing love and care is greater than paying tithe that you see as a levy.

Politics / Re: Buhari Delivering His Speech During The Signing Of The 2016 Budget (Video) by Dahveydson(m): 11:16am On May 07, 2016
Where is the change?

I say the change is where a president personally delivers his budget to NASS

I say the change is where a president scrutinises the approved budget and make sure it is implementable.

I say the change is where a president will stand his ground and refuse to shaken by corrupt bureaucrats.

I say the change is where the masses will be aware of happenings and details of budget of their country.

The change might be slow, but it will surely come.

God bless Nigeria
