Earlier today,a heavy laden truck with building materials from owerri is said to have come on face- to- face collision with a moving vehicle from the airport axis leading to the death of two police officers.

An eye witness,who spoke on the grounds of anonymity to Vivian Gist on telephone, said ,the incident occurred at obibi junction,Naze,along Aba-Owerri road,a surburb in owerri North LGA.

According to him,neither the cause of the accident nor the identities of the victims involved could be ascertained.

When the Vivian Gist Reporter visited the scene of the accident,rubbles and broken glasses as well as the ill-fated truck was seen to have barricaded the nearby building pulling down the fence in a such a fatal manner.

IPOB said the group is financed by member's contributions. IPOB rejected claims dat Victor Umeh is behind Nnamdi Kanu's defected release.
Daily post reports.. The indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that the ex-national chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA); Victor Umeh, has nothing to do with the separatists and have revealed their sponsors.
The APGA strongman was areested in Awka, the Anambra State capital from where he was taken to DSS headquarters, ajuba and is being questioned. In a press statement by the group's spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the IPOB said it is not being sponsored by Umeh or any igbo politician as the group was self-sponsored.
The statement sent to Daily post on friday March 4th, 2016, read in part; "IPOB has no sponsor anywhere around the world. It is a bug organisation pursuing the restoration of Biafra: one man or few people cannot sponsor us. Linking Umeh or suspecting any other igbo politician is ploy to deny him his mandate to become a senator.
IPOB members sponsor themselves through monty contribution and levies worldwide; one man lacks enough money to sponsor gigantic organization like IPOB. We equally state that those saying that IPOB is delaying Nnamdi Kanu's release are lying because they don't know how IPOB operates."

No fewer than 15 people were today roasted to death in an autocrach which occurred along Akure-owo road

The accident which happened around 5 occurred at Uso area of the road leaving the victims burnt beyond recognition

An eye witness reveals that the two buses loaded fully loaded with passengers colluded with a truck that is leaded with petrol

Fire started immediately and many of the victims were trapped in the accident resulting into their death

An unconfirmed report hinted that some of the victims were students of an institution from Osun who were on excursion to an undisclosed area. , Check Graphic Photos below.

Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa [24-02-16] inspected some on-going road and market projects in Sapele and Okpe Local Government Areas and urged the contracting firms especially indigenous construction firms to justify government's confidence in them.
The Governor decried the slow pace of work at some of the road projects and urged the construction firms to speed up their pace to meet the project specifications and time schedule promising to embark on regular inspection of projects in the state to ensure strict adherence to set standards.
" I am satisfied with the level of work being done in terms of quality but the pace of work is actually slow and l did make the comment to the contractor handling the Kpokpogri Okuvo-Opuraja road, that also l believe can go faster than it is and l have made that know to the contractors and this is the reason why we will be on site as regular as we can”, Senator Okowa said.
He assured Deltans that rural communities would feel the impact of government in the distribution of projects explaining that his administration has worked out modalities for the funding of projects to completion and as such no project would be abandoned.
At the 3.7km Amukpe - Okirigwe - AT&P road dualization project with walk ways and drains, Senator Okowa commended the quality of work and called on the contractor to speed up the pace of work on the project.
At the 2.4km Okuvo - Kpokpogri - Opuraja - Iriama junction road, where excavation work was on-going, he decried the slow pace of work on the project being handled by a local contracting firm, and called on local contractors to justify government's confidence in them by living up to expectations.
The Governor also inspected the 2.7 km Ejinyere - Orodje Street, road project and Orerokpe modern market project
Senator Okowa was accompanied on the inspection visit by the Works Commissioner, Chief James Augoye, Information Commissioner, Mr Patrick Ukah, Housing Commissioner, Mr. Joseph Ogeh and the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Barr Mary Iyasere.

Can someone praise God for me, I was traveling before Ore we saw Road Safety Corps stopping vehicles and asking us to slow down and take one-way as one Dangote trailer had accident with a Luxurious Bus and a small bus that Dangote collided with, that was how another Dangote him my car from behind and thank God no one was injured as we got to Ore Tollgate another call from Road Safety that the Ambulance which was use to rescue accident victims another Dangote at the same spot had hit the Ambulance. I just want to thank God for his mercy and protections.

God Have mercy !!! many people died just few hours ago at Oji River in Enugu state as Dangote trailer crushes many to death the source who reveled that A Dangote trailer carrying chippings lost control killing many people. I was shocked to see human beings cut into two pieces, seeing about two lying lifeless and some who were rushed to d hospital still died. wen i saw them i vividly remembered that it is not my righteousness that made me alive but God's mercy.
