What were your answers to the safety question on Driving ??

July 1st, panel 38. I went with full smiles because I and my fellow GT interviewees were cracking jokes and making fun as we were waiting for our turn. They were a nice bunch. Went in the panel chairman welcomed me and they all introduced themselves, and I was asked to do same. Then we went into the interview proper. They didn't ask me anything related to NNPC. Just situational questions, definition of pollution and to give examples, then a question from my cv and the HSE question ask was that; what are the safety measures to take when driving a car. Finally they HSE guy asked me if I can drive (I still don't know the reason for this question). I was asked if I had any questions for them and I asked; what are the opportunities for advancement as a GT. The panel chairman answered and that was it. He made a joke about my tie and we both laughed it off. In all I will say the interview took about 5minutes because it was getting late already and there was still others waiting to be interviewed . I left the towers around 8pm. I wouldn't say I smashed the interview 100%, but I gave it my best and I was confident throughout the process even when I don't know what I am saying, I said it confidently .

PTDF scholarship in Germany or NNPC GT if it will eventually works out. Which one is advisable for a Fresh Graduate that just finished service without work experience?

I would speak with regards to financial gains.

PTDF/DAAD is offering €850/month i.e €20400 for 24months for upkeep, ptdf local is going pay #1.2m. total paymement would amount to #10million for the duration, cost of living in germany is relatively high, so i see 50% of that fund zoom off for survival.

GT program would pay you upfront of 8million in 24months. And you still have your permanent job....

Lastly, it all comes down to what you wnt out of life......

True, results were been compiled concurrently with the interview, the compilation and upload were the duties of panel secretary. If you noticed, he/she was on a system all through.... This i presume was a means of speeding up the whole process.

NNPC don't plan to recruit once in 10 years... so in as much 1200 will not completely fill out the vacancies, at a minimum the NNPC will always have justification to employ at least every 3-5 years.

The end is near as much as I know... by latest 2nd/3rd week in August. (A director mentioned this month, i.e the whole process ends this month). Anyhow August is safe.
Was told results were being compiled as the interviews were ongoing.

I also underwent the recruitment for 2 reasons

1, To get first hand information for our interview coaching service for my side venture.

2, NNPC is a nice place to work for stability and security, but the minimum position that can be commensurate to my current earnings is Deputy Manager and NNPC requires 18 years for that - I have 11 years. As I know I'm not qualified for managerial position, I applied for the 9 year supervisor position, which I know I will get. But not likely to take the offer as the pay for that level is significantly lower than my current. I have several friends in this situation too (like the one I chatted with up here).

So this is how I tried applying my shell job with a rickety phone. Along the way, the phone skipped the LAST two stages: I missed the SELECT YOUR BUSINESS AREA and also to IDENTIFY which country I'm applying from. What surprised me is that I still got PASS the ASTERISK region which ordinarily I shouldn't expect something was definitely picked by my phone that I can't tell what it's now.

I happened to know all this when I was applying for a friend that I didn't see some of what I'm seeing that she needs to fill. So do you think by default I may not be considered having not follow DUE process?

Nonetheless, I was shocked to still see 100% application complete which spurred me to submit anyway. Luckily I'll say, the invite to write my test still came. I wrote it 11/07/2019 with the following score on personality thus:
SUPPORTIVENESS=10, CREATIVITY=10, DEPENDENCY=8, ASSERTIVENESS=6, ADAPTABILITY=5 and ended up with an abysmal DRIVE=2 (This was so because I forgot by swapping from a strongly NEGATIVE to a POSITIVE tone). Regarding my Cognitive Test (CT) I sha no c score but was careful to go through "KINGSBIKE'S POST." It was really helpful. Finished my verbal with 9 seconds left, as for numerical, I was just at the nick of time and finally the abstract, I wasted over 22 on a question which I never end up doing as I was caught up with time.

I believe my performance on the CT is superb as I'm very sure of 44+ (I jotted down the long word problems and solved them from the previous question bank posted by kingsbike with the intention that if I catch any of them I'll just pick and move with even thinking twice: luckily ALL my lengthy word problems were THE SAME as the ones posted and the rest is history. Also, generally Maths and English are my fortes due to my intense prep on the GRE over 7months of serious koinonia.)

My fear now is what should I expect from this outcome seeing I didn't follow the 'USUAL' application process?

P. S: So far no regret mail and I'm still in the race I guess.

hmmn, i don't have many people in the chevron circle but would try to confirm. I have two offers from chevron and mobil. I just applied for shell and i'm waiting for NNPC. NNPC should be secured hopefully cos i felt i performed well and they were shocked at my CV as a young GT. If shell completes theirs within 2 months and i'm successful then i would have a big conundrum on my hands

I thinkbits high time those who werent invited for the interview moved on. About 9k pple were interviewed, only a fraction will eventually be employed. So logically there is no second batch invite

TOTAL Upstream, Shell, Chevron, ENI/AGIP, Exxon, Addax, Seplat, NLNG and a few other independents pay more than NNPC, especially at non-managerial level.
