An Interpol officer has been declared missing in Cameroon after embarking for a mission. It was gathered that the missing policeman identified as DSP Falode O Olutope, was in Cross River state on September 4th before leaving for Cameroon by boat with hope of reaching his final destination in Gabon. 

According to reports, DSP Tope who travelled with two of his colleagues, signed in on reaching Cameroon before he reportedly went missing.

It was also gathered that the Cameroonian government is refusing to give the Nigerian police access to its territory hence hindering efforts by officers to find the missing personnel. 

The DSP is said to be attached to Interpol Section, Abuja. His wife, Titilayo Elizabeth Falode, and his father, Pa Samuel Iyiola Falode (77), have called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to help them in finding out Oyekanmi’s whereabouts. The DSP has been missing for two months.

The Nigerian police has not been able unravel your whereabouts because Cameroonian govt won't give them access to her territory. Tope is an Interpol and we think his case shouldn't be limited with Nigerian police. General public, lawyers, friends and family pls come to the aids of his family( He is the breadwinner, both parents still alive). His friends also want him so very much .

Prince Charles hosted a reception for British-West African creatives including two Nigerian fashion designers in London ahead of his West African tour. 

The Prince and his wife, Camilla are expected to tour Nigeria, The Gambia and Ghana starting from October 31.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that the designers, Eki Orleans and Nkwo Onwuka will showcase their works at the ongoing Lagos Fashion Week.

The reception details were shared on Prince Charles and Princess Camilla’s official Instagram page @Clarence House.

The post read; “Ahead of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall’s visit to The Gambia, Ghana and Nigerians, Their Royal Highnesses hosted British West Africans from areas including media, sports, fashion, the arts, education and charity.

The police on Thursday declared eight suspects wanted in connection with the mysterious disappearance of a former Army Chief of Administration, Maj. General Mohammed Idris Alkali (rtd). This is coming barely a week after the Nigerian Army handed 13 suspects to the Plateau State Police Command.

The suspects declared wanted include two panel beaters (Da Chuwang Samuel aka Mourinho; Nyam Samuel aka Soft Touch)’; a farmer, Pam Gyang Dung (aka Boss); a truck driver, Timothy Chuan and Village Head of Dura – Du District in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, Yakubu Rap.

Tyopev said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects masterminded and executed the disappearance of Alkali.

General Alkali was said to have retired a few weeks before he was declared missing on Monday, September 3, 2018, a day after gunmen swooped on Dura-Du and killed over a dozen people.

A young Nigerian man got more than he bargained for after he was allegedly caught pants down with a seven year old girl whom he took advantage of. 

After the shameful act was exposed, an alarm was raised thereby prompting angry residents to apprehend the suspect who was paraded in public wearing only his boxers. 

The suspect was beaten and forced to sit on the ground as the aggrieved mob surrounded him while interrogating him over the alleged crime.

The residents were divided as to what to do with the suspect before he was later taken away in a tricycle as the crowd increased. 

The Facebook user who posted video showing the humiliation of the suspect didn't give the part of Nigeria where it happened.

A man who was arrested and charged for a serious sexual assault has pleaded guilty just days after his attack. Akrin Akinniran, 34, was charged on Monday, 22 October with sexual assault.

Police were called on Sunday, 21 October to reports of a serious sexual assault on Lower Clapton Road, E5 in London. 

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, had exited a private hire vehicle and was walking along Lower Clapton Road. She was approached from behind before the suspect tried to speak to her.

The woman told the suspect to leave her alone and tried to walk away, however the suspect grabbed her and started kissing her neck. He then pulled the woman into an alleyway and continued to sexually assault her.

The woman was able to get away and ran to a man who was walking down the road. She asked him to call the police. As he was doing so, the suspect approached the victim and the witness and told him to hang up the phone and stop calling the police.

As the suspect was coming closer the woman screamed and the suspect ran off from the scene.

Officers arrived and collected CCTV footage from a fast food restaurant and took the woman to an east London police station.

On Monday, 22 October, Akinniran self-presented himself to an east London police station after seeing pictures of him circulating on social media which had been taken by a witness. He claimed that he was innocent and gave a different account of events from that night.

Officers searched the property where he was staying and found the identical items of clothing worn by the suspect in the photographs.

Later that day, he was charged with sexual assault and remanded in police custody to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 23 October where he pleaded guilty.

A man was humiliated by an angry commercial sex worker over payment disagreement after hours of pleasure.

It was gathered that the white man and the prostitute quarrelled over the initial fee they agreed before the embarrassing show occurred at the hotel where they lodged.

According to reports, the incident happened last night in Zambia.

In a video which has gone viral online, two prostitutes can be seen leaving the man's hotel room - with one confronting the man over payment before dragging him and engaging him in a fight.

The fight which happened at the hotel corridor, was separated by the staff who were present.

A Facebook user took to the platform to share the video after recording the fight.

Cross River Government in partnership with the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Calabar, provide succour to the Ogoja mentally deranged family following intense search and rescue.

The family of Mr. & Mrs. Ben Ogar popularly known as the Ogoja mentally deranged couple has been rescued following weeks of intense search by a team from the Cross River State Government and Federal Neuro Psychiatric hospital, Calabar, Cross River State.

According to his wife, Mr. Ben and his wife lost their means of livelihood about the same time six years ago while still resident in Abuja with their two kids, and what followed was a mental disorder leading to the Mr. Ben relocating himself and his wife to his country home in Ogoja where he opted to stay in a shanty rather than his father's house. His family rescued his first set of kids from him when he started showing signs of this disorder, and six years of roaming the streets of Ogoja produced the three kids he was rescued with.

Doctors confirmed Mr. Ben to be suffering from a mental disorder, while his wife is only having the 'folie a deux' syndrome as a result of her husband's ideation. The children, two girls and a boy, are in very stable condition and are responding to treatment very well.

The Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong, said the erstwhile mentally deranged family are in stable condition and are respondting well to treatment. The family will be rehabilitated and reintegrated into the society with continuous medical care and social welfare, she concluded.

Meanwhile the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs in the State, Mrs. Stella Odey, highligted that the family are also being offered some psycho-Social support in addition to the Medical Care already being provided by the State Government. While her counterpart from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Social Welfare, Mr. Oliver Orok, noted that the State Government had already provided feeding and accommodation to the couple with adequate medical scare.

The Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Joseph Bassey, asserted that the State Government are partnering with Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital to ensure the family receive all the medical services they require.

Mohammed Yau Baire, has landed in police net for allegedly demanded sex from a married woman with promise of getting her admission into a University.

The former lecturer of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), was arrested following allegation of demanding sex from a married woman, Hajiya Halimat Abubakar Bashiru, before she could gain admission into the state-owed citadel of higher learning, according to a report by Blueprint. 

Narrating her experience to newsmen on Wednesday in Tudun Wada, Hajiya Bashiru said: “The whole episode began when I went to look for admission at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

“After my husband introduced me to one of his brothers at the university, he asked me about the course I wanted to study and I told him computer science, after which he requested for my phone number for easy communication. But after that, Dr. Baire started calling me saying that he is interested in having me as a lover.

“Before I told my husband, he now asked me out and I told him to meet me at my house so if he has anything to tell me, he can say it before my husband, but he insisted that we should meet.

In his reaction, Baire said he regretted his action, adding that it was the handwork of the devil.

“Actually, I approached her that I wanted to be in love with her despite the fact that she is married to a prominent person that I know. I told her that all I needed was for her to succumb to me and then she will have the admission at the university,” he said.

Workers at the headquarters of the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS, early morning today clashed with the Police allegedly protecting the suspended Executive Secretary of the scheme, Prof. Usman Yusuf who showed up at office.

The police, however, fired teargas canisters at workers of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). 

The workers had taken over the place at about 8am but a team of police officers tried to dispel the workers as they led the suspended Executive Secretary to his office.

The protesting workers were over powered by the police who fired teargas canisters in the air to dispel them. Some of the workers sustained injuries as the scampered in different directions after inhaling the tear gas. 

Yusuf was, last week, suspended by the scheme’s governing board for allegedly inflating the scheme’s 2018 budget.

The lawyer of the Nigerian pastor on trial for sexual assault and rape in South Africa wants to judge to recuse himself from the case.

Pastor Timothy Omotoso’s lawyer, Peter Daubermann says Judge Makaula should recuse himself from the case after wishing one of the alleged victims and witness, Cheryl Zondi, goodluck on behalf of the court ahead of her exams.

Peter Daubermann handed over the application to Judge Makaula on Monday morning.

"You were overtly sympathetic towards her and aligned yourself with her cause," Daubermann said.

Following that the State prosecutor Nceba Ntelwa responded to Daubermann's submission.

Saying the words used by Judge Makaula, by wishing Cheryl Zondi luck for her exams, are not grounds for Daubermann's application to succeed.

Daubermann added that if Judge Makaula recuses himself, the trial will start all over again.

Makaula said he will take time to consider the application.

A picture of Nigerian soldiers worshipping in a church with their rifles is trending online for obvious reason.

The gallant military men held their rifle while holding a praise and worship service in a church in the northern part of Nigeria whey they are stationed to battle against the Boko Haram insurgents. 

According to reports, despite the hostility in the troubled area, the soldiers never fail to hold church service to thank God for the gift of life and pray for protection as they also never forget to bring their guns along in case of emergency.

A Nigerian man, Edirin Okoloko, has been officially sworn in as a Judge in the State of Washington, USA. His swearing-in ceremony was held on Saturday, October 20th (yesterday), weeks after his appointment by governor, Jay Inslee governor of Washington.

Gov. Jay Inslee appointed the 13-year veteran of the county’s prosecutor’s office to replace retiring Judge George Bowden.

Okoloko was born in Nigeria, and received law degrees at the University of Benin and the Seattle University School of Law, according to the governor’s office. He served as a law clerk for former Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Michael Downes, who retired this year.

Okoloko has prosecuted murders, sexual assaults, child abuse and elder abuse.

“Edirin has a clear dedication to the legal profession and a successful history of bringing justice to some of our state’s most vulnerable crime victims,” Inslee said in a prepared statement. “He will be an excellent addition to the bench in Snohomish County.”

The young officer who is the son of Igwe Obosi Eze AC Iweka 3 in Anambra state, was presented with the prestigious and coveted Golden Sword award, to mark his achievement at the concluded Passing Out Parade in Kaduna state. 

According to reports, Nwama not only emerged the best in his department both Air Force and Navy, in the final year of his training at the academy, he emerged as the Academy Cadet Adjutant (ACA).

The ACA, according to military sources, is the most senior/powerful cadet, and more or less the de facto administrator of his set in the academy. He oversees all the affairs of his (cadet) set and liaises with the military authorities in the academy on their behalf.
