A doctor at Federal Medical Center,Ebute Meta Lagos - has got herself trending online for urging Nigerian husbands to marry a second wife or an extra wife (as the case may be) if they have the resources. According to her, marrying more wives is better than the irresponsible act of cheating on their wives with other ladies.

A girl who lost both of her parents some years ago - has been given a reason to smile again. "I had lost all hopes, nobody was willing to help me and my two siblings, nobody wanted to associate with us. For years, we suffered terribly without help," these were the words of Victoria. Victoria the star price winner of the #Rochasfoundation 20th Anniversary giveaway.

Victoria lost her father in 2002 in a car accident and later lost her mother to kidney disease in 2012. Since then, together with her two younger siblings, they had to beg for food. She couldn't further her education.

Hundreds of shocked residents have besieged lucky fibre area in Ikorodu area of Lagos state following a mysterious tree. According to reports, tree was spotted with the inscription of an Arabic word (Allahu Akbar) meaning 'God is great'...Many visitors from far and wide are said to have stormed the area to see the wonders for themselves.

A man was found dead in an apparent suicide at his residence in Enugu state. According to reports, the deceased identified as Kenneth Ugwuattama and said to be 40 years of age - was found hanging from a rope in the backyard of his house at Iheakpu Obolloafor in udenu Local Government Area of Enugu state.

The corpse was reportedly discovered in the early hours of Wednesday and no reason was given to why he might have committed suicide.

His corpse was pulled down and deposited in a mortuary...

A woman has taken to social media to reveal her sorrow following tragedies which she says happen on her birthdays. Nneka Ikem Anibeze, the special assistant to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, who turns a year older today - revealed that unfortunate circumstances always happen on her birthdays.

She said she lost her mom on her birthday, buried her dad on her birthday and today which is her special day - she's set to bury her cousin (pictured below).

The journalist also revealed that despite the sad circumstances, she still give thanks to God.

I have promised myself that I'll always give thanks to God despite or inspite of the surrounding circumstances.
My mom died on my birthday.
My dad was buried on my birthday.
Today is my birthday and I bury my first cousin today!
Pray, that the Lord shall break every circular problem in my life and yours too. May afflicting never rise again ooooo!
Nevertheless... thank the Lord for me for adding to my years on earth. I AM GRATEFUL LORD....

A lawmaker at the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Evance Ivwurie, has lamented the increasing spate of attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen in his constituency. According to him, on Monday, February 19 , three suspected Fulani Herdsmen accosted Mrs. Patricia Okpako on her way to her farm in Abraka- Ethiope East LGA Of Delta State and attempted to rape her.

According to reports, all her appeal that she was going through severe menstrual pain fell on deaf ears until she used her blood-soaked pad to rub the face of one of the rapist and managed to escaped with some injuries.

According to Honourable Evance Ivwurie, on Wednesday, February 21, Mr and Mrs. Happy Akpomiemie went to their Casava farm with their 16 years old son Elvis Akpomieme. While peeling the cassava they just uprooted, they saw many cows and herdsmen heading close to them and they became apprehensive and Mr Happy Akpomieme immediately told his wife and son that this may just be their last day.

They were immediately accosted by the gun wielding herdsmen and the father told the son Elvis to escape and as Elvis began to run, the mother Mrs. Patience Akpomieme a 36 years old Housewife and farmer followed the son and immediately the son heard a loud gun shot fired to the mother from her back and three other gun shots followed immediately.

Elvis escaped lying in the bush from 4pm till 10pm when he managed to get the news to the town. His mother also escaped with severe gun injuries scattering her thigh. She was referred by the Government Hospital, Abraka to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara where she is now gasping for breath.

Honourable Evance Ivwurie also revealed the community yesterday discovered the corpse of Mr. Happy Akpomieme, a 56-year-old farmer from Urhuoka Abraka and father of 11 children riddled with bullet from the Fulani herdsmen.

The lawmaker said that the Politicians behind these Herdsmen must be ready to kill him and all his constituents in Ethiope East because they are going to defend ourselves henceforth.

Barely some months after the invasion and killing of 18 worshippers at St. Philip Catholic Church, Ozubulu, Anambra State, panic has been created in the small and quiet community yet again. According to reports, yesterday, officers at the Divisional Police Post at Ozubulu woke up to see charms and fetish items dropped in the front of their premises.

The charms were allegedly dropped there by villagers as the reason for that is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

Unknown gun men had on Sunday, August 6th invaded the church, killing scores and injuring many in the course of the attack..

The massive protest by aggrieved members of Adadia community in Uruanlocal government of Akwa Ibom state - took a new turn as residents resorted to the use of native doctor in order to champion their cause. The angry crowd went diabolical in the presence of security personnel stationed there as they "invoked the spirits of the land" to help them fight against an oil company if their demands are not met.

According to reports, the protesters had since yesterday fell palm trees and several other economic trees thereby blocking access road, hindering Moni Pulo Oil Company from bringing their equipment to the community without signing of memorandum of understanding MOU.

Two men where shot dead after a group of hoodlums allegedly attacked security operatives in a bid to free a prisoner in Sokoto state . According to reports, the gang members were trying to rescue their colleague - a prisoner who was brought to court for prosecution and in the process, the security men stationed at the court house opened fire on them - killing two innocent men instantly (as seen in the pictures).

The incident was said to have created panic among residents in the area while the corpse of the deceased victims have been evacuated.

According to confirmed reports, the head office of the All Progressives Congress (APC) faction which suspended Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state, has been demolished. It was gathered that the demolition was carried out under the supervision of armed security personnel and some suspected thugs.

The team which pulled down the building located at Sambo road, GRA Kaduna, was said to have arrived at the place around 4am on Tuesday.

The faction known as Kaduna Restoration Group is led by Suleiman Hukunyi, senator representing Kaduna north central.

On Thursday, it issued a query to el-Rufai and suspended three of the governor’s aides.

The faction later announced that the governor had been suspended for six months.

The Kano State Police Command confirmed on Saturday that three girls died of suffocation inside a parked car in Sabon Gari area of Kano metropolis. The car has been parked there for more than one year; the girls were playing around it and later locked themselves inside.

“Apparently, they could not open the door and there was no one around to assist them. Three of them died of suffocation while one survived,” Magaji Majiya, spokesman of the command, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that the incident happened “around 3 p.m. on Friday”.

According to him, the girls were aged between two and four years.

“The victim that survived has been taken to the hospital while investigation has commenced into the matter,” Mr. Majiya said.

Following the assassination attempt by gunmen who stormed the National Union Road of Transport Worker NURTW branch office in Lagos Island in January, Alhaji Azeez Lawal, friends and members of NURTW Lagos Island all stormed the mosque at Apogbon to thank God for sparing his life.

The gruesome attack led to the death of Ganiyu Ayinla alias Piero, the personal assistant to the NURTW chairman in Idumota, Azeez Lawal (AKA Kunle Poly). Piero was killed on January 23 during an attack on Kunle Poly as the duo wanted to enter a vehicle after attending a meeting on Lagos Island.

Notorious killer, Adeola Williams aka Ade Lawyer, who has been arrested - has owned up to several assassinations, saying he had killed four people allegedly on the orders of a former Chairman of National Union Road of Transport Workers, Lagos State branch, Alhaji Akani Olorunwa.
