Politics / Re: Presidency Uncovers Plot To Discredit April Polls by damas11111(m): 12:59pm On Mar 07, 2011 |
“President Jonathan has gone from zone to zone; he is going from state to state and he is going from city to city and door to door. He and his campaigners are busy explaining, campaigning and reaching out to the people directly. He is showing example of a true democrat but the opposition are sleeping and trying to hide under the banner of a presidential debate, which will not be seen by 75 per cent of Nigerians who have no access to television,” a source further stated. The bolded part is a complete LIE. How can the "nest of killers" claim that 75% of nigerians have no access to tv. Ridiculous. If PDP like they can campaign even in the moon for all I care. It's only a ground to lend credence to their planned rigging. The masses DO NOT want them anymore. How do the idiots expect opposition parties to be able to match them in terms of campaigns. Do they have stollen monies like the PDP? PDP is using our reserves to tour the country and they are stupidly accusing the opposition of not doing as much. Talk of the theives accusing the owners. Shege, barawo, ole, ewu, onyeoshi, onyeara. |

I like most of the points in your list of "Buhari's sins". Though I am close to 40 years and as such your thread is not meant for people like me but I still feel that you are the one that needs orientation and REAL education on what is required to move a country forward. |
Politics / Re: Bode George: Requiem For Our Values By Tunde Fagbenle by damas11111(m): 5:51pm On Mar 06, 2011 |
What more to say? What I know is that I'm sure to ask, on meeting anyone with a family name of "George" if he belongs to this "Tewonde George". At least this will help me in knowing how to be extra careful with him/her. |
Politics / Re: Alao-akala Turns Down Invitation To Participate In Debate ! by damas11111(m): 5:22pm On Mar 06, 2011 |
To say that I hate to know that Akala is the gov of my state is an understatement. However, the organisers erred by not informing him (and the other participants) to get their schedule and arrive at a date convenient for them all. They should have taken care of all loopholes to make sure that no one has a good reason not to participate, especially Akala. ndu_chucks: Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, Sen. Rasheed Ladoja and Bayo Shittu are his opponents and I doubt if he can defeat these three in a free and fair contest devoid of PDP's wuruwuru. |

The issue raised in this well written article has got nothing to do with ethnic bigotry or anything similar. As a Yoruba man myself, I've always found Tinubu too over-bearing and God-like posturing. The fact that he is even a corrupt leader mekes me loathe the man. Kudos to the writer and the op. |

Politics / Re: Sincerely Speaking, Can You Answer These Questions Without Being Sentimental? by damas11111(m): 12:48pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
@op, take a look at this topic and make a correction. I think you meant to say speaking and not speaker. Now to ur posers, the answers are very obvious but the problem with most of us Nigerians is "blind worshipping" even when there are ample evidences to make us act otherwise. It's primarily borne out of religion and ethnicity. One would expect the daftest person on earth to know that GEJ/PDP do not mean well for the country and as such can not give the needed leadership we crave for. I've come to conclude that if and when the sufferings get beyond bearable level, even the most hardened supporters of social criminality will raise up arms against the wicked elites who are bent on mortgaging the future of the masses for their unborn great grand children. |

Politics / Re: I Powerful Reason For Me To Vote Mr. President by damas11111(m): 11:46am On Mar 03, 2011 |
How and when does it even become a "sin" for a military man to sack an obviously corrupt govt which was widely known by all and sundry for the looting of our nation's treasury? Will it not even be better for the military to overthrow this useless govt of PDP that has nothing tangible to show for the over $500B we earned in 12 years of their mis-rulership? With all the noise and hatred for the military intervention in our polity, their era has brought more and far better development to our country than the so-called civilian era. Let's face it, Libya with Gadhafi ruling for more than 41years is far better than Nigeria with democracy. You only need to listen to those Nigerians recently evacuated from Libya to know that they were faring better than majority back home. For me, Buhari's sacking of Shagari regime even slowed down the decay that our society was to pass through. Had he intervened to enrich himself and his family members, then no pardoning. HE MEANT WELL with his intervention and that's the more reason he can command a significant following today. A vote for Jonathan is surely a deservice to our nation. A vote for Ribadu is surely a gamble judging by the people around him. A vote for Buhari is surely a vote for positive change, progress and accountability in our nation. |

With all your good sense of reasoning as evident in your post, you still fail to aknowledge that of all the three, "Buharis sins" are of least degrees. Ever since I've descovered that Beaf is intellectually negatively skewed, I've learnt how to ignore most of his views. I've equally come to the conclusion that it's either that he is on the pay roll of the People Deceiving Poeple (PDP) or he is brainwashed beyond remedy to accept or believe all the stuff from his party. Isn't it in the best interest of the progressives in this forum to ignore the f.o.o.l? |
