Politics / Re: Report Your Efforts On Buhari-bakare Team Here by damas11111(m): 6:12pm On Feb 28, 2011
I am elated to report that I've been able to convince 2 key men who, are not only willing to vote the BB team, but also are ready to campaign for them. The first, my older brother, was already at home with Buhari but sceptical about his possibility of winning. I only needed to encourage him to spread the gospel and let us see where it takes us.

The second, a long time friend since university days was grudgingly going to vote for GEJ but I was able to convince him to switch allegiance. Pretty easy as well because he agreed that the number 1 problem facing us as a nation is corruption and indiscipline. He equally agreed that Buhari is the best man to fight corruption.

I went to the Buhari4change website and was able to send the 3 messages to these two men of integrity so as to be able to spread the gospel since I couldn't do it directly from here (qatar).

But on a curious note, why is it not possible to get the campaign messages on phones outside Nigeria? This needs to be changed.

Politics / Re: Haba! Jonathan/pdp Votes N178billion For Electioneering! by damas11111(m): 2:45pm On Feb 28, 2011
I call on all men and women of honour and integrity to condemn this act and campaign against this evil regime. From all intent and purpose, it's clear that with Jonathan at the helms of our affairs it will be BUSINESS AS USUAL.

A Buhari/Bakare is what can save our nation and the future of our children.
Politics / Haba! Jonathan/pdp Votes N178billion For Electioneering! by damas11111(m): 2:42pm On Feb 28, 2011
In order to continue their satanic "do or die" and "win at all cost" attitude, this expired regime has voted N178 billion of our money for the forth-coming elections.

Nice job so far Jarus. I have been able to convince a handfull of friends in this part of the world I leave (Qatar). Just unfortunate that I'm not in Naija now and not likely to be around during the elections. I love to be part of this in a way that will be effective. What do you advise?

Politics / Re: Doctors - We Are Not Intimidated By Tinubu' by damas11111(m): 8:23pm On Feb 27, 2011
The actions of the doctors in Lagos state mark a disturbing degree of callousness and greed. If we may know, is there any other state in the country where doctors get paid as much as what Lagos is offering them? Every right thinking person will expect these bunch to appreciate what the state has offered.
The most annoying aspect of it is that upon resumption of duty, perhaps after 2/3 months, the greedy lots will still expect to get the "lost months" salaries. Is this not cheating? What happens to all the citizens that were denied services and care? What about those that have lost their lives as a result of their wicked act borne out of unnecessary uncompromising attitude? I think it's high time some governments started to treat unreasonable unions with contempt - NO WORK NO PAY.
Politics / Re: NL Official Presidential Opinion Poll by damas11111(m): 3:34pm On Feb 27, 2011
This hurricane BB2011 is REAL. It's catching up even with Ribadu that was thought to be coasting to victory. I am sure BB ticket will carry the day. I believe so much in "vox populi vox dei". The voice of human is the God's. May this ticket succeed by His Grace and may the two men of honor lead our dear country out of the mess we plunged ourselves.

BUHARI/BAKARE ALL THE WAY
Politics / Re: Fashola Calls For Presidential Debates by damas11111(m): 7:45pm On Feb 25, 2011
It's not only surprising that people who appear educated and literate can have any reason to attack Fashola on this. It is highly ridiculous! With people like beaf and his likes, you begin to wonder if Nigeria is not doomed. Anyone who has passed through the 4 corners of higher institution of learning (whether by accident or design) should appreciate the simple fact that a presidential debate will better the lot of the country and help to arrive at an informed choice.
Beaf needs to be taken for psychiatric examination.

Let us all put sentimentts apart. Buhari, of all the present crop of candidates we have for presidency, stands HEAD & SHOULDER above the rest. So give the BB ticket a chance. It can not be business as usual.
Politics / Re: Report Your Efforts On Buhari-bakare Team Here by damas11111(m): 6:38am On Feb 24, 2011
I've campaigned through my facebook account for BB ticket. I am willing to do more especially in the area of making posters. Can we coordinate and see if we can make about 5000 to 10000 posters for Lagos/Ibadan axis to start with? If we get enough people who are really interested in this, we can achieve something significant for the BB ticket.

Politics / Re: Let's Compare Their Track Records! Buhari Vs Ribadu Vs Gej by damas11111(m): 9:15pm On Feb 23, 2011
@karlmax,

Most of your points against Buhari, if at all valid, are NOT as weighty and damaging as what we've witnessed with GEJ. With GEJ, it's total state of insecurity in the land: bombing, kidnapping, sectarian violence etc. and many other vices that he has grossly demonstrated lack of competence to deal with. With Ribadu, he will surely lack the balls to look his godfathers in the face - more of the same. Buhari will not mind to step on toes in order to achieve the desired results.

So forget whatever the Soyinkas of this world may say, Buhari remains our best bet for the job.
Politics / Re: Let's Compare Their Track Records! Buhari Vs Ribadu Vs Gej by damas11111(m): 8:42pm On Feb 23, 2011
^^^^ Beaf is clueless!. Sure you need to submit yourself for psychiatric examination as suggested by Soyinka. For all I know, Soyinka is far over-appreciated if one considers some of his contributions to the development of our country. This was a man who even failed woefully when called upon to manage an insignificant agency of the government. Pls let the proffessor reserve his English mastery for his students. He has done very little, given his placement in the society, to help the cause of Nigeria. No wonder he was shouted on and embarrased when he recently had the audacity to attend a community gathering in his hometown. He's fast losing respect.
Politics / Re: Let's Compare Their Track Records! Buhari Vs Ribadu Vs Gej by damas11111(m): 8:08pm On Feb 23, 2011
The more the haters of Buhari try to ridicule his achievements during his regime and as PTF czar, the more commited to his presidency I become. The simple reason being that NOT A SINGLE allegation of corruption has been levelled against him. Personally I will not try to make case where there have been some perceived mistakes as I know that no matter how perfect you are as a human, your head MUST tilt or shake when you walk. So I pardon those real or perceived errors. They are NOT comparable to what a certain GEJ has committed in just a year of his mis-rulership.
Please vote wisely and vote BB ticket. GOD BLESS NIGERIA NOT BY GOODLUCK BUT BY DOING THE RIGHT THING.

as for me and my household, it's bb all the way. don't even compare with the poverty development party (pdp). for ribadu on the other hand, he's got many godfathers whose interests he must protect even if they were supposed to be jailed.

My bros, pls speak for yourself, GEJ is not the people's choice - he is PDP's choice chikena!
Why should we choose a 50% President GEJ when we can have a 75% one (Buhari), or even an 80% (Ribadu)?

Pls mind your writing! If agreed that Ribadu is 80% ok as president, Buhari is surely 90% ok for president. He is the best man for the job. Ribadu still needs some more years of experience to be in the same level as Buhari.

Politics / Re: What We Did Not Know About Buhari by damas11111(m): 8:59am On Feb 22, 2011
Of all the present candidates for Nigeria presidency, there is no an iota of doubt that Buhari stands head and shoulder above the rest. I am old enough to know that he meant well for the country as Head of State but the corruption infested millitary lead by Babangida would not allow him. It is not surprising that people like WOLE sOYINKA are not supporting his ambition. The professor sometimes behaves like one who is living ahead of the time; not facing reality or running away from it. He forgets that as humans, no amount of perfection will make us walk without having our heads tilted/shaken. Buhari may have made some mistakes in the past but I believe that all the good things he stands for far outweigh whatever his past shortcomings were. If Nigerians are really desirous of reaching "the promised land", Buhari remains the only candidate that has all it takes to take us there. As promising as Ribadu may appear, he is still very far behind Buhari in terms of the zeal and the readiness to step on toes. There are many interests Ribadu will still want/need to protect if he becomes the president. Or does anyone think that Ribadu will want to offend Tinubu whom himself once described his (Tinubu's) corruption as of "international dimensions". I"LL RATHER VOTE FOR BUHARI TEN TIMES THAN GEJ ONCE.

I am a resident in Qatar and I have the opportunity and connections to arrange for a work visa of 5 year duration at a reasonable amount.

My conditions are that you must be well educated and be a professional in a chosen field before I can agree to do this for you as I do not want to bring people who will moan and grunt for their failure to secure a good job as a result of their lack of good qualification. It is recommended for people who have qualifications in the field of banking, IT, accounting, journalism, nursing, civil engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, teaching and to some extent safety engineering, heavy equipment operators.

For more details I can be reached on 00974 77397781 till Nov. 8, 2010.

orangemen:

@5columnist,
in the first line above, can you briefly define the work u mentioned there. are u talking about the work of been the dog of obasanjo or the work of going to the tvs and radios on daily basis? how many politicians went to jail under ribadu and how many fraudulent contracts were recorded under ribadu? waziri with less noise is able to jail bode george one of the untouchables and now cecilia ibru a big fish and all these guys were there under the noisy and toothless bulldog(ribadu).
tell nigerians that ribadu was right in attacking just the abacha family among other past presidents in nigeria. tell nigerians why IBB was not arrested by your hero. tell nigerians how many govs were jailed by your mentor. tell nigerians why atiku after indictment in 2007 is still a free man till date.
if you know the meaning of being a police man, u will not come here to say all these thrash u said here. how can a man be above an institution that he was working for? ribadu was above the law and above the constitution of the institution that employed him(police). he was sacked and charged to court but instead of appearing before our law court as a law abiding citizen, he decided to act fugitive and went on exile. jonathan was only a dictector when he overturned the decission of the nigerian police and changed his dismissal into a retirement and this was just to please the frudualent master(obasanjo). iyabo obasanjo had an issue that was financially criminal under ribadu and how far did he go with that.
under ribadu, us$16b was spent on electricity contracts and till date nothing and nobody can account for that and our electricity instead take a negative turn. under this same ribadu, a reconstruction contract was given to the tone of N300b for ibadan-benin expressways and the man behind this is the current chairman of nigerian ports authority, my brother what is great about this your hero?
it is on record that under ribadu/obasanjo, corruption and embezzlement of public funds took a record height. harllibutton scandal and siemens scandal and everyother societal scandals between 1999 till date have obasanjo's name in them and u will agree with me that nothing and nobody has been arrested over same till now. with these issues hanging here and there, do u see nigeria moving forward to any good thing development wise.
under your saint ribadu, we saw many multi - national companies leave nigeria for ghana. where is our hope even with your purpet goodluck jonathan?

100% supported but beleive me Ribadu is still far better than GEJ. At least he comes by as a more intelligent chap than the DUMB.
