SportsChelsea Will Keep Hold Of Alvaro Morata Amid Juve Interest by damickey(op): 4:53pm On Jun 04, 2018

Reports in Italy suggest that Chelsea are not willing to let Alvaro Morata rejoin Juventus this summer. The striker who missed out on Spain’s World Cup squad scored 15 goals in all competitions for the Blues in his first season.

His performance in his first season gave rise to speculation that Chelsea may be willing to cash in him with Juventus lurking around the corner. However, reports from Rai sport have suggested that Chelsea are not considering letting the Spaniard leave after just one season at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Morata who was pictured in Turin over the weekend has revealed the reason for his visit.

“We’re here to attend a birthday party,” Morata told SportMediaset.

“Right now I don’t know anything about my future. Right now I’m just thinking about my holidays.”

Turkish outlet Fotomac have revealed that Besiktas have enquired about the availability of Nigeria international Victor Moses. The Black Eagles are in the market for a new right-back to act as an alternative to Gokhan Gonul.

According to the source, the Turkish League giants hope to secure Moses on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy. The report also states that Chelsea have set a £20 million price tag on the Nigerian who’ll be representing his country in Russia 2018.

Moses has been a key member under Antonio Conte at Chelsea, although the Italian is reportedly set to leave the club this summer. A development which will raise questions on the player’s stay at the club as he is originally a winger.

Moses provided 4 assists and scored 4 goals in 38 appearances for Chelsea in the 2017-18 season.

An Italian journalist has claimed that Chelsea are reluctant to pay the cash needed to get Sarri as the new manager of the club, Reports were rife on Friday that the Blues had cooled off interest in Sarri because of some controversial comments he made back in 2016.

Sarri was handed a two-game ban for hurling homophobic insults at then Inter Milan Manager Roberto Mancini, and according to reports, the action may have cost him a place at Chelsea.

However, Italian reporter, Tancredi Palmeri has insisted that it’s not the problem, and is adamant that the only hiccup holding the deal from coming through is money.

He tweeted: “I’m seeing flying around that Chelsea would not pick Sarri because of past record of insults he said.

“I can tell you that, if Sarri won’t be picked, this would be just an excuse to justify the fact Chelsea didn’t/couldn’t get rid of the financial difficulties to get him.”

Sarri has a contract with Napoli until 2020 though he has been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti. If Chelsea want Sarri, they must pay up the £7million release clause as insisted by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

SportsChelsea Consider Move For Laurent Blanc by damickey(op): 1:21pm On Jun 02, 2018
https://savechelsea.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/laurent-blanc-696x421.png

Laurent Blanc has emerged as a surprise candidate for the Chelsea managerial role owing to Antonio Conte’s eventual departure from the club.

Maurizio Sarri was the prime candidate for the job but talks have gone cold due to Chelsea’s reluctance to pay the Italian’s release clause at the insistence of the Napoli hierarchy.

Reports from Daily Mail now suggest that Chelsea are considering a move for Laurent Blanc as the club’s manager next season as the Frenchman would also represent a cheaper option in comparison to Sarri.

Blanc has been out of work since his dismissal from PSG two years ago, and his appointment will definitely divide the opinions of Chelsea fans.

Blanc succeeded with PSG on the domestic front but struggled to make a notable impact with the Ligue 1 giants in Europe. He won 72.8% of his matches in charge of PSG, and also won a domestic treble on two occasions.

Reports have emerged that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has withdrawn his British visa application due to delays in its renewal amid reports that he has acquired Israeli citizenship.

He reportedly took Israeli citizenship this week after being without a visa to Britain where he owns London-based Chelsea Football Club. However, with an Israeli passport, he will only be allowed to stay, but not work for up to half a year in the UK.

Abramovich reportedly withdrew his U.K. visa renewal application after it was held up for several weeks by British authorities due to the stricter vetting of the applicant’s sources of wealth, a development which the Financial Times newspaper quoted a person close to the Oligarch as saying on Thursday.

However, it was noted that the delay which Abramovich believes is linked to increased political hostilities between Russia and the West has not angered him, according to two sources close to the Oligarch in a chat with the Financial Times.

He no longer needs a U.K. investor visa after securing Israeli citizenship, according to The Sun tabloid in the citation of an unnamed source.

Reports suggest that Chelsea have been offered the opportunity to sign Gonzalo Higuain as part of a plan by Juventus to lure Alvaro Morata to Turin.

The Old Ladies are reportedly keen on acquiring Morata and are giving considerations to tempting Chelsea with the Argentine to enable them land the Spaniard.

Morata joined Chelsea last summer and has struggled to make his mark in the Premier League, and it went from bad to worse as he was hit by injuries that restricted him from featuring consistently.

His performance for Chelsea undoubtedly played a part in his exclusion from Spain’s World Cup squad and Juventus might be prepared to offer him a lifeline.

Juventus harbor interest in Morata but must clear the 30-year-old Higuain from their wage bill first. The Argentine who has scored 55 goals since joining from Napoli for £78million in 2016 earns £125,000 weekly.

Meanwhile, Chelsea would seek a replacement for Morata should the move materialize, as the club has also been linked with a move for Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski.

https://savechelsea.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/maurizio-sarri-2.jpg

Chelsea have refused to yield to Napoli’s demand and deadline to pay the £7million release clause for manager Maurizio Sarri. The Blues had until last night to reach an agreement over the figure for Sarri whose contract with Napoli expires in 2020, although he has been replaced with Carlo Ancelotti.

Reports suggested that talks were held last week with Sarri’s representatives over a two-year deal with an option for another 12 months.

It is believed that Chelsea are now waiting to see if Sarri’s legal team will engage in the pursuit of a case of constructive dismissal against Napoli, thus pressuring Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis into reaching a compromise.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged that former PSG boss Laurent Blanc has also been sounded out as a backup option. The club are also huge admirers of Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic.

Reports suggest that Chelsea defender Ola Aina may be close to fulfilling his dream of playing at the World Cup after he made the list for Nigeria’s traveling party to the United Kingdom.

Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has dropped the axe on four players from the roster namely Junior Lokosa of Kano Pillars, Standard Liege midfielder Uche Agbo, Lok Plovdiv defender Stephen Eze and Plateau United goalie Dele Ajiboye.

Meanwhile, a fifth player Moses Simon will embark on the trip to London later today to have checks done to ascertain the extent of his thigh injury, as tests carried out in Nigeria indicated that he will be on the sidelines for at least three weeks.

Two more players will be hit with the ‘drop-axe’ after Saturday’s friendly against England at Wembley as the squad will be trimmed down to the final 23 who’ll represent Nigeria in Russia.

Ola Aina is facing competition from the likes of Elderson Echiejile and Brian Idowu for the two spots in the left-back position, whilst being versatile enough to compete with Abdullahi Shehu and Tyronne Ebeuhi for the right-back places.

Pat Nevin has expressed the belief that Willian could end up at Manchester United next season. The Brazilian appears to have fallen out with manager Antonio Conte recently after being used sparingly towards the end of the season.

Willian struggled to hold down a regular spot in Conte’s team since the Italian’s arrival at Chelsea. The Brazilian was a key player during Jose Mourinho’s time at Chelsea as he played a vital role in winning the Premier League and League Cup.

Regardless, Willian has always been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the appointment of Jose Mourinho. Willian’s supposed falling out with Conte became pronounced after the player obscured the manager from his Instagram photo in which Chelsea celebrated the FA Cup triumph.

Former Blues winger, Pat Nevin has admitted that Willian’s proposed move to Old Trafford is very much possible.

Netherlands assistant manager Ruud Gullit has claimed that the inaction of those at the helm of affairs at Chelsea caused the unrest in the dressing room. According to him, the board was to blame for Chelsea’s struggles and not Conte.

Ruud Gullit spent two years as Chelsea manager from 1996-98 and admitted the peculiar difficulties of managing the club. He, rather than pointing fingers at Conte for missing out on the UCL next season, pointed fingers squarely at the board for their poor management.

“I’m not blaming it on Conte,” the Netherlands assistant manager told Goal. “I’m blaming it on the rumours from the beginning about whether he was going to have to leave or whatever. Nobody upstairs did anything about it. No one said: ‘Hey, that’s that a rumour, that’s not true. He’s our coach.’ That didn’t happen.

“The players who are playing, they don’t care, but the players who are not playing see an opportunity that if he leaves, maybe they can play. So, you get a lot of trouble into the locker room. You don’t need that as a coach.

“It’s not been a success. It has been a plaster on the wound. It’s been a very hard season.

“If they could exchange the Champions League place for the FA Cup, they’d do it.”

He then joked that longevity as a manager at Chelsea would be ensured by not winning trophies.

“If you win something, then you’re in danger in Chelsea,” the 55-year-old said. “The one who didn’t win anything stayed the longest – Claudio Ranieri. He was there for four years. All the others had to leave. It’s better not to win anything!”

Real Madrid legend Michel has claimed that Alvaro Morata is paying the price for leaving the Los Blancos. The Spain International became Chelsea’s transfer record breaker after the club shelled out £53 million to secure his signature last summer, although he has struggled to live up to the billing that was expected by the Stamford Bridge outfit

Morata found the back of the net just 11 times all season and as forced to play second fiddle to Olivier Giroud after the Frenchman arrived from Arsenal in the January transfer window. He was also used sparingly in the final of the FA Cup against Manchester United.

The major blow came when he was not included Spain’s squad to play in Russia 2018, a situation which Michel, a six time champion with Real Madrid has attributed to his departure from Real Madrid last summer.

“I don’t know why he left, if it was because he wanted to play more, if it was because he wanted a better contract and because he wanted to play in the English league,” he told Marca.

“At the end of the day he is in a similar situation as to when he was at Real Madrid, he will know personally why he took the decision.

“I’m one of those who think that if you’re at Real Madrid the best thing is to not leave but I don’t know what his thinking is.”

Michel added: “He’s playing less at Chelsea, Giroud is playing more.

“The most informed one on this is the coach and he knows exactly why he took one decision of another. He’s a good player but any of them are too.”
