A gang of thieves, who robbed a Nigerian man in the early hours of today, have taken to his Facebook page to post updates on the attack

In a post seen on the profile of the man identified as Fadogba Sirkaylex Kehinde, the alleged thieves reportedly stabbed him on the chest and wrote on his page of their action.

The post reads:

Fadogba Sirkaylex Kehinde has been robbed this morning and you can no longer reach out to him. if you care about him, you should know how you will get in touch to him. we hit him with knife at his chest.
goodbye

However most of his friends on Facebook thought it was a prank, but sources close to him reveal that the incident actually happened and the man was already recuperating in the hospital

Timaya has come online to state that embattled rapper Naira Marley invited troubles into his life, using his own mouth.

In the video posted on his Instagram page, Timaya spoke on how powerful words are and how things said can come to pass in one’s life.



He cited examples of legends like Tupac Notorious BIG and late Nigerian rapper Dagrin, who sang about death and death came upon them.

Another UNN student Nnemelu Shalon has been declared missing by friends and family after she posted suicide thoughts on Facebook.

According to reports, members of her department - Library and Information Science - are frantically looking for her.

Before she went missing, Shalon an 100-level student of the University in Nsukka, has always been posting weird quotes and poems that bothered on death and how sweet the after life would be.

Most of what she wrote were clear indications that she intended to take her life.

Even more, on May 15, 2019, she dumped her previous profile picture and started using the same photo serving as the profile image on Chukwuemeka Akachi’s page.

Her friends on Facebook are however jittery about her current situation, while many are trying to dissuade her from taking her life.

What did you gain from taking your life? What is that problem you are facing that others haven’t faced and came out victorious? Make una take am easy o. I’m really getting pissed off by this. Las Las, you will be buried and memory fades with time” one Lilian wrote.

Jackson then chipped in to make her realise she has not achieved her mission on earth and so has no reason to commit suicide:

You don’t have to die now because your mission have not yet concluded so we need you come back home and we are waiting for you you don’t have to do all this to yourself you must to face some challenges before you becoming something important tomorrow so my advice to girls and guys never give up just believe that you are going to make it for life people say you will not get there you have to make the ship

The lady in the video could be heard saying everyone should be appreciative of the oportunities they have in life.

The older child in the video was feeding his younger brother, who looked impoversihed.

It was so obvious from the video that the food was not palatable for him as he was seen spitting it out.

The reason why Federal Government demolished Caramelo Nightclub has been stated by the Minister of the FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello.

Bello, who was speaking to State House correspondents in Abuja yesterday, said that Caramelo, a popular nightclub in Utako District of Abuja, was demolished in a renewed effort to ensure compliance with the city’s master plan.

He further mentioned that the decision to pull down the structure was painful but necessary to restore the master plan, Daily Trust reports
He said the government was not in place to destroy but that the violation of rules and regulations won’t be tolerated, adding that the business of running a city is a very serious one.

The minister said the building was meant for a clinic but was converted to a nightclub. He said it was neighbours of Caramelo that drew the attention of government to what he tagged “flagrant abuse.”

Bello however assured that government under the present leadership would not stop Abuja residents from enjoying nightlife.

The Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) , Mallam Umar Shuaibu, had said that operators of the night clubs contravened the law by converting residential buildings for other purposes.

Shuaibu, at the time of the arrest of the strippers at the club, had said the Department of Development Control had to demolish the fence of the compound as a form of warning to the owners of the club.

The King of Swaziliand, King Mswati III has made a declaration in the country that from June 2019, men will be required to marry at least two or more wives face jail.

The king believes taking more wives will help women get husbands.

Women are still regarded as sex objects meant only for procreation in many cultures and getting married is the ultimate for social acceptance.

The king, who has 15 wives and 25 children, while his father and predecessor has more than 70 wives and 150+ children, noted that there are more women than men in Swaziland which he says is a very serious problem for a country, which is known to be full of virgins.

According to IHarare, men from Swaziland are therefore required and expected to take more wives so that every woman gets a husband.

In a statement, King Mswati called for all men in the country to marry at least five wives and the government assured the men that it would pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them.

The country which is known to be full of virgins, is also said to have more women than men.

King Mswati warned that any man or woman who opposes the decision “will face a life sentence”.

A Nigerian woman identified as Mabel Agbenyo on Facebook has divulged the story of her friend, whom she claimed her cheating husband was busted after a pregnant customer paid with his card at her shop.

According to the story narrated by the lady, the pregnant customer walked into her shop and bought baby items worth N164,000 only for her to come up with her husband’s card to make payment.

The customer in their conversation, mentioned that the man is her fiance and they will be getting married after she gives birth to her baby.

Secondly she was quick to divulge information and talk about fiancé and marriage in 3 months…

A Nigerian writer Sugabelly has explained the reason why a child should take the woman’s surname, instead of the man’s.

In her opinion, she believes the pains of childbirth are enough for the the child to be named after the mother and not the father.

Dead body water, according to a mortuary attendant in Ghana, is being purchased by some pastors in the country for as much as N500,000.

The female mortuary worker was seen in a video while speaking in an interview with Accra-based Atinka FM, where she narrated how the water was in high demand.

According to the lady whose identity was hidden, the pastors pay as much as GH₵7,000, for the water, and sometimes they even have shortage.
She explained that some family members prefer to have their corpses bathed at the mortuary, and this is the water that the pastors come to buy.

She said when the floor is mopped, the cleaners squeeze the dirty water out and keep it in bottles which the pastors come for in disguise.
Describing it as a ‘side job’, the mortuary worker confessed to be doing this business in order to earn more money, explaining that the work in itself does not fetch them much.

She, however, did not mention the names of the pastors and the churches, perhaps, for fear of being victimised.
“The pastors buy the water, it is in high demand. When the cleaners mop the floor after a corpse is bathed, they squeeze the dirty water into containers which the pastors come to buy,” the lady narrated.

The water is being used by the pastors who patronise it to perform miracles in their churches.

The best student in 2019 JAMB examination has been unveiled as a 15-year-old boy from Abia State.

The 15-year old boy, according to Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, scored 347 marks considered as the highest by board, Vanguard reports.

Similar, a 16-year-old boy from Abia State came second by scoring 346 marks.

Also a 17 year old from Osun State who trailed behind with 345.was considered by the board as the third best result in the 2019 UTME.

But the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyode, who announced this at a media briefing, Saturday, however, said the best student in 2019 JAMB may not be admitted in the University of Lagos,which he chose as his first choice because of age.

He gave the names of the three best candidates as Ekene Franklin: Igban Emmanuel Chidiebube and Oluwo Isaac Olamilekan Oloyode did not disclose the intended courses of the best performing students.

The crime in question in the EFCC pic is FRAUD! Let’s stop saying “Yahoo Yahoo” because it has obviously become cool to a lot of youths now. We desperately need to re-strategise the war against crime in our country, from the “top” to the bottom.

So, while the other mugshots are for personal crimes that only themselves got punished for, our own future legends pic is about glamourising a crime that 180 MILLION Nigerians pay for everyday, in all ramifications & all over the world, as we are ALL seen as fraudsters and thieves.

This is the painful difference between the other infamous pictures & our own. And this is why, on the real, I am also sad about this picture.

A Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC officer Ngozi Allozie Stella Oboh was spotted smiling today as she was arraigned by The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) before Hon. Justice K.N. Ogbonnaya of FCT High Court 28, Kubwa for employment fraud.

In a one-count charge, the Commission alleged before the court that the accused person, Ngozi, defrauded some job seekers to the tune of N2, 697,000(Two Million Six Hundred and Ninety Seven Thousand Naira under the pretext of helping them secure employment.

The charge reads:

“That you Ngozi Alozie Stella Oboh in January, 2015 or thereabouts at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Command with intent to defraud did obtain by false pretence the sum of ( N2,697,000.00K) Two Million Six Hundred and Ninety Seven Thousand Naira from unsuspecting job seekers under the guise of securing employment for them into Nigerian Prison Service and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1)(a) and punishable under Section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2010”.

The accused however pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to her while her counsel, Okere Chamberlin, made an an oral bail application on her behalf.

The prosecuting counsel, Sulaiman Abdulkarim, however did not oppose.

In her ruling, the judge denied the accused person bail and ordered that she be remanded in prison custody till the next adjourned date, 14th May, 2019.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has told President Muhammadu Buhari to leave PDP’s candidate in the 2018 governorship election in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke alone.

While reacting to the senator’s arrest by the Nigerian Police yesterday, Fani-Kayode said his arrest will not stop him from becoming the governor of Osun State.

He tweeted:

Fulani herdsmen in Owerri, the Imo State capital have reportedly killed 2 young boys guarding a farm in the early hours of today.

According to a Facebook user Egeonu Clinton, the young boys are reportedly from the Northern part of the country and they had earlier warned the Fulani Herdsmen in Owerri to stay away from the farm.

According to the report, the herdsmen left and came back with arms and ammunition to kill the young boys.

The Kano State Government has revealed that it spent over N300 million on mass wedding in Kano for 1,500 couples in the state.

According to a report by Daily Trust , the wedding was presided over by the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and was conducted by the Chief Imam of Kano, Prof. Sani Zahradeen, at the Kano Central Mosque.

Ganduje said that the gesture was aimed at further reducing the problems associated with the high number of unmarried youths in the state.

The governor urged the new couples to uphold the trust reposed in them by the state government.‎

He also appealed to wealthy individuals to complement the efforts of the state government.‎ Ganduje said that the couples were selected and screened from each of the 44 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state

“The beneficiaries were selected from each of the 44 LGAs of the state by the committee shouldered with the responsibilities of selecting and screening eligible beneficiaries,’’ he said.

He noted that more than N300 million was spent by the state government to sponsor the mass wedding in Kano, including the provision of complete sets of beds, side mirrors, wardrobes and mattresses that would all be provided, to each couple.‎ ‎

Ganduje said that the state government would pay N20,000 dowry for the couples and N10,000 as start-up capital to each bride. ‎

He said that medical tests, including HIV/AIDS test, were conducted on the couples in order to ascertain their genuine health status before the marriage.‎‎

Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, while decrying the rate at which single mothers are being attacked and relegated in the society, asked if men don’t deserve same treatments.

The actress who is also a single mother of one said the society praises men for being jerks and adulteress, while the women are being looked-down upon for ending the relationships, despite bearing their children.

She wrote

Isn’t it funny how people seem to forget that there is no rewind button to undo everything that didn’t work out in our lives?

When I see the attacks on single mothers including myself It’s always mind-baffling, to be honest. So what is the decision-making sin that single mothers are so badly guilty of? Being single?! Suddenly, “Single mother” is defined as a woman who’s bad and deserves bashing?!

If a single mother is not in a relationship, regard- less of the reason; she’s always to blame, yet we give men praises for being adulterers and jerks so long as he’s “good to his kids” .

If a man doesn’t get “tagged” or “bashed” for actually being at fault for why a relationship ended, why isn’t the woman given the same leniency, even if why the relationship ended wasn’t her fault? Or maybe it was her fault but it was still for the best?

A foreigner, George Soare, has been arrested, arraigned and remanded in prison after he reportedly ordered soldiers in Lagos to beat a lady identified as Diva, for allegedly having a misunderstanding with his wife

According to reports, Diva wasn’t the person that had a misunderstanding with Soare’s Nigerian wife at their No 5, Falilat shomade street, Lekki home, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, but their neighbour whom Diva had come to visit

According to other neighbors, Soare’s wife was fond of pouring water on them anytime there was a dispute and the lady only reacted that day, having had enough.

However, the man was said to have brought in four soldiers and ordered them to flog the neighbor, but since they couldn’t find her, they descended on her visitor, Diva.

The victim was later whisked away and warned against reporting the incident if she doesn’t want to be shot.

Meanwhile, Diva was rushed to the hospital by the neighbors that witnessed the inhumane treatment, who later reported the matter at the Police station.

Soare reportedly appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded in Ikoyi Prison pending when Diva would fully recover.

The government and some NGOs are said to have taken over the case to ensure justice.

Head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, has cautioned hairdressers, hairstylists and beauticians to stop the act of gossiping while performing their duties.

He made the statement in a meeting he had with a group of hairstylists, beauticians and hairdressers at the head of the Roman Catholic Church.

Pope Francis advised the beauty industry workers to desist from chattering and work according to their Christianity beliefs.
The pontiff told the gathering:

“Practice your profession in a Christian style, treating customers with kindness and courtesy, offering them a good word and encouragement”.
“And avoid succumbing to the temptation of chatter which is easily associated with your field of work.”
“Each of you, in your professional work, can always act with righteousness, thus making a positive contribution to the common good of society.”

During the meeting at the Vatican, the Pope advised the group of 230 pilgrims to follow their patron Saint Martino de Porres (1579-1639), canonised in 1966 by his predecessor Paul VI. St. Martino de Porres was canonised for his supposed miracles of levitation, being in two places at once, instant cures and communicating with animals.

Porres is also the patron saint of mixed-race people.

In 2015, the pontiff opened a hairdressing salon in the Vatican for the homeless people of Rome.

It is open on Mondays, when other barbers are closed, and is staffed by volunteers.

The salon service, paid for by donations and the sale of papal blessings, was the idea of the Pope’s chief alms-giver, Monsignor Konrad Krajewski.

He was moved to act after a homeless man turned down an invitation to dinner at the Vatican because he was embarrassed about his smell, Daily Mail reports.

At the opening in 2015 each ‘homeless pilgrim’ received a kit including a towel, change of underwear, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, razor and shaving cream.

The Executive governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade has paid Cross River workers May salary on the 1st day of the month.

The governor’s move has however led to protest among the workers who don’t seem to be happy with Ayade’s decision.

Ayade has consistently paid the May salary on the first day of the month in the last three years of his tenure, News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Speaking to journalists, the state chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Clarkson Otu, said workers and the leadership of labour were unhappy over the early payment of salary.

According to the labour leader, even though the government means well, labour was nonetheless not happy with the situation.

“As labour leaders we do not support early salaries payment. We have told the governor that it is not proper. April salary was paid only last week and on May 1st he pays May salary.

“We are surprised he still paid early this month in spite of our protest. We will continue to engage him on that,” he said.

Speaking in a similar vein, the state Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Ben Ukpepi, decried the early payment of salaries by the state government.

Ukpepi said labour would engage with the governor with a view to putting an end to early payments of salaries in the state.

A man’s plan to travel to Zambia has been blocked by his friend who took to social media to reveal on how he carried out his plot, all because his friend supported President Muhammadu Buhari in the last presidential election.

In his post, the man said he sent a email to the Zambia Interior Minister and notified him of a potential terrorist’s visit to their country, while giving him the details of his friend.

His friend, not aware of his plans, made the move to travel to Zambia, but was deported immediately after landing in the country.
