A Nigerian writer identified as Tosin has written on his experience with Kano residents in an area he just relocated to weeks ago.

In his post, he revealed that he walked freely on the street wearing a short and surprisingly the men in that street began to stare at him, probably out of fear that he was out to seduce their wives.

He claimed he had to rush back home.

A beauty queen who goes by the name Wendy has alleged that Face of Candy City is scam and she has put out words online to warn others from falling for the beauty pageant.

According to an expository post she made via her Instagram page, Queen Wendy alleged that as the reigning queen of the pageant, the promises made by the Face of Candy City has not been delivered.

Three females students have been nabbed while performing rituals with ladies' pants in the middle of the night.

The unnamed student are reportedly students of one of the universities in Ile-Ife, Osun State

The trio were nabbed in the early hours of today, with calabashes on their heads. They were allegedly planning to have their bath at a T-junction when they were caught.

Items found with them include buckets of water, local sponges, three charm-filled calabashes and some panties suspected to be those of their colleagues in school.

While being questioned, they were not able to give tangible sources of the items found on them, especially the female panties.

After the brutal stoning incident yesterday, alleged ballot box snatcher Demola, head of OPC in Okota has survived.

A video of the Head of OPC in critical condition was posted on social media moments ago and he was reportedly rescued by members of the Igbo Community in the Okota area of Lagos.

Demola had earlier been reported dead after a video surfaced on the internet yesterday showing a lifeless body with wounds all over his face and huge rocks surrounding him.

According to a twitter user who posted the video, he was rescued and rushed to the hospital where he is currently receiving medical attention

A woman is currently wallowing in pains after being butchered by unknown persons in Abuja yesterday, while her 9-month-old baby was kidnapped.

The incident reportedly happened in the Kuje area in Abuja. A good Samaritan spotted her at the point where she was left for dead and rushed her to the Kuje Hospital.

According to LIB, one of the persons present at the hospital :reported the incident:

''This woman was found Butchered along Kuje Road this morning.

She was brought into Kuje General hospital by a good Samaritan who saw her by Kuje Junction.

The woman had a 9 months baby that was taken from her by the hoodlums who use matchet on her.

The hospital recommended she was transferred to University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada because she was having fractures and some of her fingers were cut off. She also had a deep lacerations on her neck all this required services that Kuje Hospital cannot handle.

She was later admitted in Kuje General Hospital and damage control was done then she was referred to National Hospital Abuja on getting there, National said that they don't have space she was then taken to Asokoro District Hospital they rejected her due to lack of space

She was brought to Maitama District Hospital thy also did not have space. The ambulance took her to Jabi medical center she was also rejected because of space.

Gwagwalada also didn't have bed space.

They had to bring her back to Kuje General Hospital. Where she was given blood and further treatment was carried out.

She is still in Kuje General Hospital pending referral.

Nollywood actor Jigan Babaoja, after being trolled on the internet, has given reason why he posted photo of cash donation to Baba Suwe .

In his defence, the comic actor revealed to Punchng.com, in an interview that the money donated to Baba Suwe was contributed by members of the public and he wanted to be transparent with it.

He said,

“When you are running a foundation, you must be as transparent as possible since it is not your money. I run the Jigan Baba Oja Foundation. I am only contributing my time and what I am doing is from my heart.”

A caretaker, Abdul Bello, on Wednesday dragged Khadija Afolabi, a tenant, to a Sharia court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna, demanding her evacuation from the compound because she disclosed her rent to other tenants who paid higher rates, Punch Metro reports.

The complainant accused the defendant of not keeping to her promise of packing out of the house three months ago when she was served with a notice from the landlady, Hajiya Farin-Dutse.

Bello explained that the house, located at No 24, Yoruba Road, contained two flats.

He said that Afolabi took one flat and had been paying an annual rent of N130,000 for four years, while the other tenant was paying N150,000

“She begged me to talk to the landlady to consider her financial status and accept N125,000, which I did, and the landlady agreed but only accepted N130,000,’’ he explained.

The caretaker accused the tenant of revealing the amount she paid to the other tenant, an act he described as gossip; and which triggered a misunderstanding between the landlady and the other tenant.

He prayed the court to compel Afolabi to pack out of the house immediately, since her rent had expired since December 18, 2018; and as the landlady had already given out the flat to her cousin.

In her defence, the defendant denied any act of gossip in the matter, adding that she had been paying her rent diligently.

Judge Musa Sa’ad-Goma, after listening to both parties, ruled that Afolabi should pack out of the house on or before January 8.

A couple weds on 1st date on Christmas Day after matching on a dating app ten days earlier.

Sarah Edwards, 34, decided to marry Paul Edwards, 36, in Las Vegas on the spare of the moment for some reason but it looks like things are going well. OK, it’s only been four days but none of them are calling for a divorce yet.

They admitted they have been unable to keep their hands of each other since they met for the first time on December 25, Metro UK reports.

Mr Edwards told Good Morning Britain:

‘We’re always holding hands, always hugging and kissing. It’s like I’ve known her all my life and this is like my missing link.’

The couple’s story has raised a few eyebrows, including from Mrs Edwards’ parents who Mr Edwards had to win over.

Things had moved quickly for the newlyweds after they matched on Bumble on December 15th and exchanged messages and spoke to each other for the first time on December 22nd.

They spoke again on the 23rd and decided to marry – despite never meeting face-to-face. They committed to each other and booked a wedding venue – the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

Meeting for the first time at Gatwick Airport on Christmas Eve, the duo boarded a plane in full wedding gear and jetted off to Las Vegas to get married.

Mr Edwards from Chichester, West Sussex, has two daughters aged 13 and 15 from a previous relationship.

He was engaged earlier this year but his partner broke it off. Mrs Edwards, from Kent, is divorced and still lives with her ex.

Despite the strange circumstances the Edwards are convinced their union will work. Mr Edwards added:

A female baker has lost a baking contract after she refused to call her male client “darling” or “sweetheart” upon his request.

The lady exposed the client by posting their supposed chats on twitter and asking her followers if sh had done wrong by not calling the man the names he requested for.

The said client sent her a WhatsApp chat ordering for a cake, and she replied to the chat in a formal way, only for the client to take offense in it, and asked that she uses words of endearment for him.

When she refused, he gave the cake deal to another baker.

More than 500 Muslims celebrate Christmas with Pastor Yohanna Buru at his residence in Kaduna State.

The Muslim faithful, including youths, Imams, women, NGOs and traditional title holders, were drawn from various states in the North and neighbouring countries, News Agency of Nigeria reports.

The visit was aimed at strengthening peace, unity and religious tolerance in Kaduna state and the country at large.

Buru, the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, led the prayers at the occasion.

He offered special prayers for promotion of the peaceful co-existence among different faith organisations.

“It is also aimed at shunning ethno-religious and political differences affecting the state for decades,’’ the cleric said of the visit.

In his sermon, he stressed the importance of promoting peaceful coexistence amongst different faithful in Africa so as to strengthen better understanding in order to live in peace and harmony.

“We are using the Christmas season to unite Muslims and Christians and to promote better understanding.

“My house has been filled with Muslims and Christians alike, today, I am the happiest person on earth.

“I’m pleading with Muslims and Christians across the globe to use the season in promoting peace and unity.

“We have counted over 500 Muslims that joined us in the Christmas service at my home today,” he said.

The pastor expressed satisfaction over the large number of Muslims who attended the service.

“We all must remember that we are from same parents (Adam and Eve) and we all worship one God.

“I’m really happy having other Muslims from Niger and Cameroon and some others from five different states of Nigeria, who joined us in the celebration,” he said.

Buru therefore called on Muslims and Christians to be their brothers keepers at all times.

Meanwhile, Dr Yusuf Nadabo, the former Head of Department, Anatomy, Kaduna State Polytechnic, emphasised the importance of tolerance among different faith-based organisations in the country.

Nadabo urged Muslims and Christians to promote peace and unity so as to move the country forward.

He also appealled to other human rights and civil society organizations, including the Christian Association of Nigeria, to help sustain peace and stability in the country.

Responding, Malam Abdullahi Dantudu, the Chairman of Kaduna State Civilian Joint Task Force appealled to all Nigerians to embrace peace and unity.

The CJTF Commander called on Nigerians to use the Christmas period in promoting peace and unity.

A young man has reportedly pleaded with God to end his life after he was involved in an accident in Ajah while selling bread in the middle of the road.

According to reports, the accident occurred yesterday, December 18, at Abraham Adesanya Estate, right opposite Jefferey's Plaza, Ajah, at about 2 pm. It left one of his legs terribly crushed that his bones and tissues were visible.

According to witnesses, he was begging God to take his life after the accident.

The victim claimed he has a pregnant wife in Ibadan but came to Lagos to make some money hawking on busy roads.

He is currently been treated at Igbobi General Hospital, Lagos.

The late former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh's wife and children may miss his burial as they remain on the watch list of the Department of State Services and the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Badeh’s widow, Mary Iya Badeh, and his two sons, Alex (jnr) and Kam have been in the United States since 2016 following his prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

According to a report by The Punch, a family friend of the Badehs hinted that it was unlikely if they would come.

He said,

“I have spoken with them and I don’t know for now if they will be coming but it is highly unlikely. Their father has just been killed under controversial circumstances and the government has not removed them from the watch list. If they return and their passports are seized and they are not allowed to return, it would be a double tragedy.

“Everybody is still in shock so we cannot say for now if they will be coming but since they are Christians, there is no rush. A lot can happen before then.”

A prosecution witness, Abubakar Madaki, had told a Federal High Court sitting in Maitama that Badeh’s wife and two of his children were being investigated for offences with which the ex-Chief of Air Staff was charged.

Madaki said the three of them, however, escaped to the United States before the investigation was concluded.

He said all attempts to get them arrested turned out to be futile.

The witness had said,

“At the initial stage, when we started the investigation, we invited Alex Badeh (Jnr.) who lives in 19 Kumasi Crescent, Abuja, one of the properties, among the properties earlier mentioned.

“He happened to be a son of the first defendant (Badeh). He claimed to be a tenant in that property and since an investigation was ongoing at the preliminary stage, we allowed him to go and come back when we had enough issues to question him about.

“He left and never came back. We later got to know that he has left the country for America.

“We were also looking for Mary Iya Badeh, the wife of the first defendant, who is one of the directors in the second defendant (Iyalikam Nigeria Limited).

“The second defendant (Iyalikam) had received so much funds from the alleged funds we are investigating.

“She too, according to the investigation has left the country for America. Kam Badeh (another of Badeh’s son) is one of the directors in one of the companies.

“We have gone round the locations that we had information that he does business, but we are unable to get him.

“Since the information was that they left through the International Airport, we wrote a letter to the Nigerian Immigration Service and the Department of Security Service to watch them. But we have not been able to get them.”

He said when his team concluded investigation in the case, it “discovered that the first defendant (Badeh) and his wife had earlier incorporated a company Iyalikam Nigeria Limited” in whose accounts they allegedly diverted the Nigerian Air Force’s funds.
